Within Ferry Port house guest house is a Chinese restaurant called Fusion restaurant. I have been here for takeaway and to sit in the restaurant before and the food is good. The welcome was friendly and we were shown to a table promptly by the kitchen. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening with only one large party and a couple of tables taken. The menu has a good selection and we decided to go for the combination platter for starters to share. Chicken satay, prawn sesame seed toast, vegetable spring rolls and BBQ ribs were served on a large platter and soon disappeared! Next up was Beef curry and fried rice - the beef was succulent and tender and I choose the king prawns and cashew nuts in a potato basket which was nicely presented. The food here is a-ok not outstanding but the service is excellent. There is a good amount of time between courses so you are not felt rushed. The atmosphere is OK too but the sound level of the music could be ramped up a tad. All in all a nice restaurant with a welcoming feel and authentic decor. read more
