Interesting place. I've never really been to indoor flea markets like this until I moved to Florida so it's very new to me. A lot of the stuff here I wouldn't buy, but it's fun to look at. But can I say that the haunted house they have here during Halloween is amazing! It's free and my kids had an amazing time! The haunted house gets 5 stars, the market gets 3. #49 I am a little surprised at how this place is still running, when I went on a Sunday morning, half of the stalls were closed and there were a fair amount that were empty. The location is easy to spot and there is a nice amount of parking so I did not need to worry about looking for any spots during my trip here. The marketplace was clean and there is a nice amount of seating, however the location is a little tough to navigate because they have very little signage and the maps are rather old and seem to be a little outdated. Walking past a handful of stalls, it seems that every place here sells more or less the same stuff as each other but the prices vary at each location. Many of the people were friendly but some didn't even acknowledge me as I looked so I decided to leave without purchasing anything. My main reason was to stop at the pickle kiosk and I am so glad I did, the worker here was over the top friendly and helped me so quick it was insane! They also have a great selection at good prices! Overall it is a nice place to look at on a boring day but nothing I would stop or go out of my way for, to visit. Nice but one and done for sure in my opinion. read more

The food court still looks pretty empty and sad. What I really appreciated was the friendly autistic artists painting & creating beautiful pieces. Last time we were here they looked ready to close. Festival Marketplace is a large indoor shopping center with a fleamarket feel with many individually owned stands that sell everything from phone cases to antiques. There is plenty of parking and a few different entrances. On the east side, there is an Escape Room, and on the west side is a Dollar Tree. In between, there are places to buy clothing, phone accessories, fresh fruit and veggies, and even a great place to purchase fresh made pickles. The food court had a pizza place as well as some ethnic options with a central place to sit and dine. On this visit, I went to drop off some new and gently used formal dresses in donation to Beccas Closet. This is a not for profit that outfits young ladies for special events at no cost. About the mall It used to be a Pompano outlet mall prior to its transformation into a flea marketFestival Flea Market Mall is now a private company established in 1991 and incorporated The mall opened as Pompano Outlet Mall in 1986, and was put into foreclosure only two years after it opened. By 1989 the original outlet mall had closed entirely save for a movie theater. After a failed attempt to reopen it in 1990 under the name Broward Crossing, it was purchased by Shooster Properties and reopened in 1991 as a flea market The movie theater is gone . My favorite venders are the Asian venders that sell jade jewelry and also the ones that sell the inexpensive hats and sun glasses . read more

This mall is mainly focused on flea market items...there are many booths inside where you can get stuff really cheap. My visits in the past have been to the Dollar Tree but today I also went inside the La Hacienda Farmer's market and I loved this ethnic grocery store.... Overall this mall is not a bad marketplace for low priced items. Some kind say that this is a shopper's paradise spanning a quarter mile from end to end....it is long...you can see it from Sample Rd and it goes on for a long while...... Aisle after aisle, this air-conditioned mega mall features unique items at discount prices. From high end watches, handbags and designer clothing to cosmetics, footwear, fragrances and decor, there's something for every taste and budget. The mall includes a food court and an antique mall. The one star is for the place I'll mention at the end of this review. Five stars for the booth the sells the personal-defense gadgets. Cool stuff, competitive prices, and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bought a few items from them and gave me a discount. Five stars for the booth that sells packaged coffee. Interesting variety of coffee from around the world, nice staff, fair pricing. Bought ground coffee from them two summers ago, a Kenyan blend. Not sure if they're still around, didn't see them over the holidays unfortunately. Five stars for the antiques section. So much to see, so many unique and wonderful items. Could spend all day browsing and taking in the nostalgia and history. Now for the one star, wish it could be a negative star actually. The place I believe is called Boardwalk Sportswear Gifts, they sell mostly clothing, and bordering on being a head shop. Anyway, the owners are rude, pushy, and paranoid. They don't let you browse in peace, and accuse you of being a thief if you don't buy something in 5 minutes. I called out the man and he asked me to leave the store. Prior to that I overheard him saying disparaging words about certain races and religions. Anyway, I was on the verge of buying something from them, but so glad they revealed their true faces. Apparently I'm not the only potential customer that's been treated badly. Seems like this place is closing down this year, hopefully for good. What I wanted to get I later found at a pop-up shop in Deerfield Beach, and even though it cost more, the money went to a proper vendor. read more

I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed the Festival Marketplace. I haven't been in a while and my last impression was run down. I went in this time, and I saw that they were remodeling, they had a lot of mixed retail high-end and budget wise vendors. They have a few restaurants. All of them seem pretty tasty. I haven't tried them, but I will next time. But I definitely did do a lot of shopping. I honestly did not think I was going to spend that much time in there and I found a lot of deals. I found exactly what I wanted. Also, if you check in with the information booth they will give you a sheet that you can use all day that has about 4 coupons. You'll see it in the photos, those coupons can be used on regular price purchases throughout the market. There is a cute dress shop directly across from the food court and the woman there was extremely helpful. I purchased two dresses from there. On a Saturday afternoon, I would really expect this indoor flea market to have been busier but in these COVID days (July 2020), it was nearly dead. Sad because these businesses really need your money! Less of a flea market and more of an indoor shopping center. The Festival has jewelry, socks, shoes, sunglasses and eyewear, kitchen gadgets, bathroom accessories, and more. Some 250 shops, all under cool air conditioning. Big and small, they've got it all including a food court. Masks required and with traffic markings to keep people socially distancing, the Festival Marketplace is a quarter mile long so if you're going to see them all, you're getting a nice walk. Have not been there since before COVID. Empty spaces all over. Very poor quality items. Only a few food spots open. Depressing. Avoid.

I have been to one of these style flea market set ups in Northern Florida, but this one was no where near the quality. I loved that they repurposed an old mall! But inside, it was literally junky jewelry vendors, accessories, and other low quality items. I did see a couple higher end clothing booths that I loved but I wonder how their sales are when the rest of the mall is filled with low quality and low pricing. I have been to this market just once before many, many years ago. Before I was ever a Yelper. I remember it being bustling, and that it had a farmer's market. I was utterly disappointed on this trip. There are a LOT of empty stalls and there wasn't many customers. I saw a lot of the same type of shops. Shoes, cheap clothes, jewelry and knick knacks. I wouldn't buy jewelry here though. I wouldn't come back unless I'm looking for something that it's specifically sold here. On the plus side, they have a nice and big private parking lot. read more

Festival Marketplace in categories of shopping is in-between a mall and flea market. Over the years, I have stopped here for random things and it didn't disappoint. Visits- I've been a few times just to get my clothes alterations' done. They have a huge booth store front of clothing services. Some things they do on the spot and other items they take longer. It's located to the right side of the entrance. Food court-There are decent options for a quick lunch pick up. I've been a few times just to grab a bite to eat. It's close to my work and it's a good option to go sometimes. Flower booth- Blooming In America, recently went just for flowers that did not disappoint. Other things- They have inexpensive souvenirs, fruits sold, perfumes, accessories, beach wear and more. It's not your glamorous galleria type of mall but it gets the job done. Most employees and owners of these booth store fronts are extremely nice. Without the bells and whistles of fanciness still deserves a 4 star.~ read more

Large parking lot. I think everyone can find something they may need or not need here. From statues, jewelry, shoes, clothing, cosmetics, wigs, art, food, grocery items, antiques, to now the dollar store. I ran in to pick up something I had embroidered and then ran over to the food court. I couldn't help but notice how clean the tables are being kept. I saw two ladies making sure every one of them stayed clean and tidy. If you haven't been to the festival, you should. It's a nice way to stroll and see a mass amount of businesses. It's under air. I recommend it as a novel shopping experience. It is big overall with lots of individual shops. It is more like a flea market than a mall. So, "Marketplace" is accurate. You can find about anything from housewares to clothing and much much more. I would say that most items are off brand and therefore less expensive. The brand items like shoes for instance are probably closeout items. The place was clean enough and had a food court. It was an interesting experience and I found some low cost necessities. I don't usually do this kind of thing, but never ever ever in your life get anything repaired at Deluxe Jewelry at the festival flea market in Pompano. I took three necklaces to be repaired and all of them had to be redone multiple times, and the most important one, the most expensive piece I own is still done so horribly that I'm going to have to either learn how to fix it myself, or pay someone else to fix it. I dropped these off over a month ago. The lady put one of my mala strung black coral and Baltic amber necklaces on fishing line! Then argued with me about that if I wanted it done right I would have to pay more. Which I did. Then she strung it without knots. Then she's strung it with only 3/4 of the necklace having that knots. She didn't make the knots thick enough to secure each bead. They literally go through the holes of each bead. Then, instead of restringing, the whole thing she tried to do patchwork near the pendant, were one side has extra knots. The other side has no knots and out of the three main pendants one of them is placed upside down. If this was done right, the first time it wouldn't have taken four different attempts. The owner stood by her employee and said that she does great work and she's been working for her for over a decade. How could you do something for over a decade and be this bad at it? I told the owner I didn't want the lady doing anything more to my necklace after the third attempt and that I would prefer a refund just on that one necklace for $40. She still had the lady try again anyway! I am beyond pissed with this experience and level of unprofessionalism. Never in your life get anything repaired at this place! These people do horrible business! Being that the owner in Nedjuce was not able to keep up with her end of our agreement. This has now been reported to the Better Business Bureau and I encourage anyone with similar terrible experiences to do the same. They had my other reviews taking down. I am going to be posting these reviews on any platform possible with their name on it. These people picked the wrong person to screw over. read more

Interesting to find a market inside. With lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. Some of the pricing was high like 3 cucumbers for $4 dollars..thats a bit steep. I must admit everything was fresh and very well stocked. Seems many locals come here daily, as some were greeted by name. I've been coming here so long that I can't remember when I first visited. It's had its ups and downs depending on the economy and competition, but it's still a good shopping venue. Quick name something you're looking for? They probably have it here and usually at a bargain price -- though it helps to know what the retail price is so you can compare. We've brought visitors here when they needed to find a replacement suitcase. A friend going through chemo that needed a wig. Shopped for a friend missing florida who wanted those touristy coconut parties. Brought in a watch for a new battery. Bought name brand cosmetics for a few dollars less. My husband has even bought reading glasses here. Usually we are here now for produce. We used to really love their fresh market, it's still decent, but the new owners have raised prices slightly and don't have the personality of the older guy who used to own it. He used to greet us like long lost friends and give everyone tastes of fruit so you'd know how sweet it was... And we sometimes stop by their food court as they have a gentlemen who offers the best felafel and middle eastern fare. The food court, by the way, has everything from Greek to pizza; hot dogs to ice cream. Just saw a "new to me" area that has a bank of lounge chairs and is running a special on massages. Then there's always the "as seen on TV" booth. And there are shoes, clothes, jewelry, toys, cologne, furniture, decorative items, garden sculptures, hats, electronics, cookware, etc etc. And it's a rainy day activity when the weather isn't the usual sunny Florida. This review is strictly based on the food court and the Chinese food booth. My wife likes to shop at the festival and we have had lunch in the food court a few times now but The lady behind the counter at the Chinese food is not only rude, but very slow to help you if you need or want to have some questions answered about their product. It appears to me like she doesn't want to be there half the time she's either looking at her phone and won't look up to greet you even if you're standing there for a while or looks like she's sleeping in a chair. My suggestion is get somebody that has a little bit of customer service you might sell more product. ( Bump on a log ) read more

Time for an update and I am upgrading my review to four stars. I still love this place after all these years and I think it has improved throughout the years. In the early 90's there used to be a movie theater here and the theater attracted many seniors. Maybe it was because of the free popcorn they offered or maybe because they showed new movies at discounted prices. The theater is long gone and that space is now occupied by an Antique Mall. I really dislike the Antique Mall because the employees are rude and on the obnoxious side. They do not allow you to bring any packages in the store and that includes a quart of pickles! Seriously, my quart of pickles were packed in a clear plastic container and were packaged in a clear plastic bag. What did they think I was going to do with my pickles? They lost a customer over pickles and to me that is sad. On my most recent visit I was pleasantly surprised to see shoppers of all ages. Granted, there were still plenty of seniors but also teenage girls, families, couples and plenty of mom's pushing baby strollers. I love seeing the seniors out and about because it's so cool that they can still get out and do things. It also made me realize at how fortunate they are since both of my parents have issues walking and are not going to a mall anytime soon. Since I am old enough to have my own Aarp card, I realize that maybe some people may consider me a senior too. I know that for twenty dollars my new costume jewelry won't last forever, but I gotta admit I love my new bracelet, lol. I also picked up a few new cell phone cases that are really cute! Two for twenty, such a deal. Traditions Judaica Gifts has been my favorite Judaica store for years. Silver City still has unique pieces at inexpensive price points. The pickles are still shipped in from New York and the same pickle guy has been working there for as long as I can remember. Most of the vendors accept credit cards, however many of them have a ten dollar minimum. I had a few links taken off of a new watch and my bill was five dollars. I chose not to use the ATM (near the food court) because of the ridiculous fees. I asked the jeweler to charge me ten dollars instead of five and he happily agreed. I recommend having some cash with you for times like this. Having direct deposit I tend to use my debit card for everything so it's probably a good idea to start carrying some cash with me. Just thinking out loud here. The parking lot is huge and there are a few different entrances. I do think the Festival can benefit from a major face-lift and that is why I am holding back the fifth star. If you're looking for an affordable shop to buy scrubs LOOK NO FURTHER! I came to festival marketplace because a coworker of mine told me you could get good deals on grey's anatomy scrubs. It was a muggy day so I decided to walk around and found 50% off grey's anatomy scrubs as well as other amazing brands like Wink for much cheaper than competing stores that would list a top for $30+! The overall ambiance of festival flea market I can tell is very old school however, I see they are planning to add a gaming/laser tag area. It's a great time passer because there are interesting items you don't see usually being sold. I would warn you on the shoe selections though... they seem to not be cheaper than retail and there's a possibility they could be fake brands. Just be careful! For a Sunday afternoon, this place was less than empty. So odd! It's quite an easy-access mall with really decent prices. There are multiple dollar stores. There are NO public sanitation stations throughout this marketplace. Any bottles by registers are kept away from the patrons. The cute "wash your hands" signs are merely for show. I never saw a Restroom sign as an option. This sort of marketplace brings many first generation immigrant stall owners. As such, patrons should be prepared for alternative methods of business interactions. Some will feel downright rude or racist, but it's more likely just a different cultural norm. I bought a wig here from wigs by Jolie..over last ten years bought many wigs from this place for me, my sister and daughter. I was told they no longer carried the brand I had before. Which none knew I was wearing a wig and showed me one (did a lot more money) and said it was the same. When I wore it at home (and I had not told my daughter) she knew instantly I had a new wig on and said it Looked wiggy and awful. Jolies would not exchange citing Fla law. I wrote to the manager of festival flea market and got the same bs remark. If you are going to Festival Marketplace, plan to spend some time. There are so many stores and so much to see, it is not as fun if you give yourself only a short time. It's a nice place to browse and there are many places to buy but be prepared..prices on many things aren't as inexpensive as you'd think they might be. There are also SO many stores and many of them will use their best sales approach to get you to buy. In some places though you can negotiate on prices which I love doing so that's a plus. But not everywhere. Most people will buy something here. You just wont be able to resist the sales pitches. On the plus side..I found a great pair of black leggings with red and silver rhinestones on them. They were quite unique and people have asked me where I got them. I have not been able to find this vendor again which is a shame as these leggings are both stunning and comfy. There ARE some unique things to be found here. It's huge so be prepared for much walking. Have some time to spend and don't just buy the first thing you see. There's so much here it can get a little crazy. There are also plenty of places to grab a bite like the food court. It really is an all day event. I have been here several times and usually enjoy myself. The thing is once you have gone there a few times it isn't as fun. The thing about this area is there are so many Flea markets and malls and places to shop. I visited today for the first time. I participated in a scavenger hunt that benefitted children with cancer. As a result I had the opportunity to check out almost every booth and interact with a majority of the vendors. Festival Flea Market is an indor mall with privately owned businesses displaying their products in small stalls and booths. There is fine jewelry, costume jewelry, clothing for men, women, and children of all sizes, toys, gadgets, and housewares. They also sell crystals, knick-knacks, sportswear, shoes, housewares, accessories, food, drinks, pickles, pet food and supplies, gifts, and wigs. There is a shoe repair, hair salon, food court, and clothing alterations stall. The vendors are friendly without being pushy. The prices are less or comparable to those found in other stores. I like flea markets. I appreciate the diversity of items -- even the schlock! My friend prepared me for the worst, but I'll tell ya, Festival is worth checking out. There's redundancy: wig shops (a number of them), shoe stores, makeup booths -- as well as things that interest me like vintage jewelry booths (nice bakelite selections), a reasonably large antique section, second hand designer bags, gauze clothing (nice, but over-priced.) And the food court! Decent knishes. I had potato/mushroom with a can of Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray. Buy three knishes, get the fourth free. A few other ethnic lunch counters including a place for corned beef sandwiches. And don't get me started about the pickle vendor! Festival is a comfortable place to shop. I've been here a few times over the years. It's really not my cup of tea. This place has a lot of different businesses, but I find the quality to be on the low side and quite a bit of the things way overpriced...They do have a variety of different merchants. There is a food court where you can sit down and eat. Here are the restaurants : All Star Pizza, Bagels n Deli, Cedeno's Cuban Cafe, Danilicious Frozen Yogurt and Juice Bar,Downhome Deli, Far East Wok, Going Bananas Farmers Market, Laura's Coffee, Pita Nosh - Authentic Fresh Food, Snow Queen Enterprises, Sparta Grill, and Subway. There used to be a lot more better quality stores, but they've moved out. A lot of the merchandise comes from China and I personally don't care for it. It's cheap looking and knockoffs. It's a place you can go to to kill a few hours if you just want to get out and walk around or if the weather isn't good. It's definitely a place you'll find a ton of seniors and mothers with strollers especially on the weekends or during the winter months. Festival Marketplace is a very popular flea market type shopping center. They have a huge number of stores selling watches, purses, electronic items, suitcases, shoes, cheap clothes and sunglasses. That is only the beginning. Festival has a huge Food Court. Don't go there expecting high fashion items, but it's like the largest discount shopping center in town. I had a very scary experience today. I bought some nuts at Im Nuts For You at the Festival Flea Market. The owner assured me that they were organic and had a sign stating that they were. I told him that I was severely allergic to the pesticides used on conventional, raw nuts. After eating some of the nuts, I got SO sick and could not breathe. Parts of my body got numb and tingly. It was VERY scary. I have had many allergic reactions, but none so severe. I had to get immediate medical attention. I thought that I was going to die. I have had food allergies for over 30 years. Today, I learned a big lesson. I will never take anyone's word again. I reported him to a few agencies. He could have caused me to lose my life. I did go back to him right before the reaction got bad. He had a smug look on his face and all he said was, "They are organic." I told him that he could kill people. He never apologized or offered to give me back my money. This owner is selling conventional nuts at organic prices. Don't buy from him. read more

Festival Marketplace is big with over 500 shops. Various shops are set up throughout the place. It's a quarter of a mile long. There's several that sell $10.00 watches, jewelry from cheap costume to high end. They also have shops selling shoes, sunglasses, pocketbooks, clothing, perfume, the lists go on and on. The Marketplace is indoors with air conditioning. Stop by the information booth to sign up for $20 worth of $1.00 coupons. Coupons are not good in the food court. The food court is in the center of the marketplace. They have plenty of tables and chairs. There's several stands selling food, coffee, and desserts. They have a nice variety of food including pizza, deli, Chinese, sandwiches, and more. If you go, check out the Going Bananas Farmers Market. There's several different events including an Antique Fair the third Saturday every month. See the list of events on their web page. They have a large parking lot, but it still can be hard to find a parking space. If you wait a few minutes you'll probably see someone going out. Look for a newspaper near the entrance doors that lists the stores, a map of the layout, and what's happening. read more
