She conversed back and forth with me for months to help me get my order just right and make sure I wasn't missing anything and we had all of the details sorted out. Her execution of what I had asked for was more beautiful than I had imagined and my jaw dropped as I walked down the aisle and saw the entire set up for the first time, same with when I walked into our reception venue! First off I would like to say that Melinda was a pleasure to work with. I live in South Orange County so at first was a little fearful that the distance would be hard to get my vision/ideas across. I got married last weekend and Melinda provided the flowers. Melinda is super easy to work with-especially for someone like me who greatly appreciated wedding-planning guidance from all of our vendors. I initially planned to DIY my own flowers until I decided it was too much work. I called Melinda 1 month before my wedding. Luckily, she was available. I gave her my color scheme and asked her to do whatever she thinks best. She made bouquets for myself and the bridesmaids, wrist corsages for the mothers, boutineers for the groom, groomsmen and fathers. I provided her with empty wine bottles and jars for the reception centerpieces in advance and she filled them with flowers. I did not shop around for a florist because as I mentioned, I had planned to order flowers wholesale online and put them together myself. LOL. I called Melinda based on her other yelp reviews. Her quote seemed reasonable and affordable although I will admit I do not know what other florists charge. It was definitely worth it budget-wise to have Melinda do the flowers instead of spending my own time and energy on them myself. As for the actual flowers - WOW. I told Melinda I liked a bouquet that is posted on her webpage - and she went from there. Everyone raved about how beautiful the flowers were. I had my wedding at The Cliffs Resort at Pismo Beach and needed something close to the venue since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Melinda was easy to contact and I got a response right away. I showed her some ideas (from pinterest of course) and she was able to not only make my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquet gorgeous, she did so while staying withing my budget! I got a beautiful arrangement for the arch at the altar, boutonnieres, and bouquets. She showed up to my suite the day of the wedding, brought our bouquets in, and immediately set up the arch. We recently got married in SLO and Melinda of Festive Designs was recommended by our coordinator. This may be common knowledge to some of you but I learned from experience that it is very difficult, if not damn near impossible to get everything right on your wedding day. I will say with complete satisfaction that Melinda's flowers were my favorite accent of the entire ceremony and reception. We only spoke on the phone a couple of times and I sent her a pinterest page of "liked" ideas. I verbally described what I wanted and she said she could do it. I never saw any mockups or anything before the big day, but when she walked in with the bouquets, I about died! They were beyond perfect! They were EXACTLY what I had envisioned, and I was amazed at her skill and ability! The ceremony and reception flowers were more gorgeous than I could have ever hoped for. The most important wedding detail for my daughter's dream wedding was, as she stated " I want lots of beautiful flowers mom". At our first meeting with Melinda at Festive Designs, we knew immediately that she would be able to create a beautiful floral wedding. We basically told her to do her magic, well that she did, from the first step into the church our breath was taken away by the stunning floral aisle hedge, accented with pew arrangements all leading down to the amazing orchid altar sprays. First of all, Melinda is the best! She is incredibly accommodating and goes above and beyond with her work. Melinda and I worked together for about six months, perfecting the florals for my wedding this past May. We had quite a few elements, from bouquets for all of my bridesmaids, to floral crowns, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces for every table, as well as decorative vases that were spread across the venue. I was going for a very soft, bohemian, vintage feel and she NAILED it. She used gorgeous, flowing eucalyptus, peonies, thistle, lavender, ranunculus, and so much more, the list was endless.
