Stewart, twice a day while we are out of town and she always sends multiple updates and photos during each visit. Penny is a very kind, warm person who is a true animal lover and she gives Miss. Stewart the best care while we are away. Marge, who I think is the owner, is also wonderful and made it very easy for us to sign up with Home Run a couple of years ago while we were on our honeymoon (we did it all through email and text! Marge is a champ and super helpful). Prices are very reasonable - pet sitting visits are about $25 or $30 and the sitter will do anything that needs to be done for your pet. Penny even offers to check our mail for us and will take the trash out on trash day. I just can't say enough about this wonderful service. We first used Home Run Pet Care in October of 2015 and we have used them one other time last July while we were out of town for a week. I just scheduled with them for an overnight trip that we're taking next week, and we also plan to use them again when we take our next family vacation this July. We love our cat and she is very special to us, so it's nice to be able to relax knowing that she is safe and somebody is able to check on her daily when we have to go out of town.

We didnt even have time to do a meet and greet and give Sky the keys to the house, and he had almost no instruction. I was so worried. I never leave my baby with anyone... and I was just going to leave him with someone he had never met?!? How was she supposed to walk in the house.. was he going to bite her. Man, I was scared. She picked up the keys to my house from my mother in law, and recorded as she walked in my house... that she had never been in, to a big 85 lb Staffy! LIKE A BOSS!!! No problems! He loved her and she loved him! She came in took Champ out for his walk, and went to work! I was sent updates throughout my trip and it gave me all the peace of mind. I didnt have to worry about my Champ. I knew he was in good hands. When we returned from Hawaii, Champ was a calmer, less anxious dog. We saw immediate results in various areas. When we picked him up,instead of letting him walk out to us like normal, he was handed directly into our arms. At the time we didn't think much of it, but as soon as we got home he was clearly in pain and started limping. The limping lasted for about three weeks, which was very concerning for us. I called the clinic and asked if they could review their camera footage to see if anything might have happened during the grooming that could explain the issue. The manager later told me that they reviewed the tapes and did not see anything that explained how my dog may have gotten hurt. When I first called and explained that my dog was in a lot of pain, they initially told me they could see him the same day. However, after I mentioned that I might need to explore legal options regarding the situation, the appointment was canceled. That was extremely cruel because I had already explained that my dog was in significant discomfort. Because of this, I ended up taking my dog to another veterinarian for care because his actual clinic, Heart and Paw refused to see him. At the clinic where I took him afterward (Nippers Corner) they explained that when grooming is offered at their facility and a pet happens to get injured during the process, their veterinary team typically evaluates the pet right away and the owner is not charged for that visit. Hearing that made the situation even more frustrating for me because I felt like my concerns were not handled with the same level of care or responsibility at heart and paw. What was most disappointing to me was how defensive the situation felt and the lack of empathy from the manager when I was trying to figure out what happened and get help for my dog. Refusing Vet care to an animal is heartless. You should consider changing your name to heartless and paw. As a pet owner, you trust that your pet will be treated with care and that concerns will be taken seriously if something seems wrong. This place will not take responsibility for their actions and will show no empathy towards your pet. Based on my experience, I would encourage other pet owners to make sure their dog is able to walk normally and seems comfortable before leaving after an appointment. Unfortunately, the entire situation was very stressful for us and our dog. if you love and care about your pups, stay away from this place!
