She wasn't spayed yet and we were in the process of saving money to get her spayed. When I went in and asked about a smell that was coming from her nether regions, they immediately said she probably had pyometria. Worse case possible. Extremely worried, I sat on this news for 24 hours researching everything I could. Her "symptoms" were nothing close to pyo. I took her back in and a vet tech there said it was her anal glands. I felt like they were trying to scare me into spending money I didn't have (min of $350 and if she had pyo more like $750). Fast forward to this year, my Pomeranian was having urinary issues. I take her in and they ultrasound her bladder. It's inflamed. I ask what could be causing the inflammation, the answer I get was "that's a good question, we don't really know where inflammation comes from." Excuse me? I was confused like what? The doc just walks out of the room. I go get a second opinion from another vet. She has crystals in her urine there for needs to be put on a urinary diet. I take the rescue to a clinic to get spayed. After a week I notice her incision is a little puffy and red and since I already had an appointment that day for another pet, I called them to ask if they could take a look. They told me no, since I didn't get the operation done with them and everyone does the spaying surgery different. I said ok, but you can look at an incision and tell me whether or not it's infected right? Got the same answer about how everyone does spays differently blah blah. They told me to contact the clinic where I got her surgery done and it took that clinic an entire week to get back to me. I cancelled my appointment for my other pets to take all of them elsewhere. I spent thousands of dollars over the years and I don't know what happened or what is happening over there but it seems as though they don't care about your pets at all. The vet techs there are amazing I will say that. I take my animals to Village Green now and they were totally fine with checking out my rescue Pomeranians incision. If you take your animals to Penn Ohio, I recommend taking them elsewhere.

Herself and her fellow colleagues are all very compassionate and understanding, as they all own a lot of animals themselves and they will tell you flat out if there is something they cant figure out or you may need a more specialized service. They are patient and really listen to me and my concerns and they take excellent care of my little dog Henry Cooper as if he is theirs. Their staff is outstanding, extremely friendly, and treat you like they have known you forever. Three Docs who care and respond to your worries. 10 STARS in my book.

Even when they agree that it is probably urgent and the pet needs immediate care. With callous indifference you will be told, "Sorry, we have no available appointments today. Take him to an ER." Gee, thanks. There is no ER within a reasonable distance, so we had to drive our hysterical, hurting, shrieking cat for 45 minutes to be cared for by other people. This is so wrong. A place that calls itself a hospital should be there for sick and hurting patients, and make the time, no matter how it might affect lunch breaks or whatever.

Anyways we brought him in washed him ourselves and we love it. 50pound dog $14.00, for owners that wash their pet. Well worth it. We used the flea and tick shampoo, they have a different variety of shampoos to choose from. His coat is nice and clean and smells good again. They have towels and really good strong blow dryers to dry ur pets fur. Works really well. And when you are washing them they have leash clip on's to keep them in the tub while you bath them. They have brushes there too for the fury babies. Also she recommended us to use the rake type brush for our hairy baby. They have rubber brushes too to brush them while they are all wet and it worked out well. Both ladies were very kind to us. And they also have aprons to wear. 100% A+. Dar's Dirty Dogs Business is amazing, outstanding, clean, excellent customer service and a wonderful place to bring your dog in for a bath/shower.
