Elissa worked with us 4-5 times, but mostly she gave me the understanding, skills and followup exercises to work with my dog myself. She explained behavior theory behind the exercises, showed me how to properly carry them out. She followed each training session with detailed notes and other resources. Success wasn't instant, but steady. With Elissa's help, I have a trustworthy companion whom I feel comfortable letting off leash.

Our initial interview went well. Negatives: When I viewed my dog (a one and a half year old healthy puppy) a few times on the video, I did not like what I saw. My dog is under 25 pounds and put in the small dog area. On one occasion the staff put a much larger dog in the same area and I watched the large dog 'pester' and continually chase my dog who wanted nothing to do with it. There was one person in this area with the dogs and he took a bottle and sprayed my dog (?) who was trying to get away from the large dog and was pinned under it. I called and asked why he sprayed my dog laying on the ground underneath this big dog but not the big dog. He said that is their policy (?seriously?) so I asked that the big dog be moved out of the small dog area. I was not happy at all about this issue. Here's the short of it: We picked up our dog early because of this situation but she was still there 5 nights. I took her to be vet checked the day after our early pick up due to the fact she was hacking and sneezing and had a large eye wart on one eye (like I said she was healthy when dropped off). She was determined to have an upper respiratory infection, probably from being sprayed in the face. Now after one month she is still recuperating from this and still having nose issues. And the eye wart infection took 2 weeks to fade. I do not recommend your dog being more than 4 hours in this facility.

Ellie has been with The City Dog since 2018 and we're glad the space still feels familiar for her. There are some different faces around but we have experienced that over the years and love that Ellie still feels at home. We boarded her for 6 days and 5 nights in June (for Vaca) and were really happy with the care she received. Prices on boarding have gone up a lot for a dog suite, but they honored our previously booked rate which we appreciated. We also did a recent daycare visit on July 3 and still have several days left in our old package that we can use this year before making any real changes. The only downside is the change from member packages to a new (for us) monthly subscription model. It's not really that appealing or attractive to us. The subscription based model takes away the flexibility we enjoyed as longtime customer. So we never felt like we were losing money for services we didn't use. Overall, space is great, now larger, with the building combined and noting we are a couple months in on the merger. We will see how things go over the next few months, but for now we feel good about the transition and would recommend Park Your Paws Columbus-Downtown, especially for boarding and daycare. They have a very unique approach to doggie daycare. No cages! I was concerned at first until I saw how Christie and her staff gradually introduced other dogs to Arnold and were very aware of behaviors. I watched from a tv monitor in the lobby area. Next thing I know there are 5-7 dogs with Arnold and he was loving it. They let the dogs spend hours together the first day and today he was there a full day. I'll be boarding him overnight Friday and Saturday. The staff is very attentive to all the dogs and know how to redirect if playing gets a little escalated. Today I was working and was able to check on Arnold from my phone, watching the cams in all of the rooms. I love that he can play all day instead of being caged for 2/3 of his stay. I highly recommend CRAM to anyone who has a socialized dog, to treat them to a real play day or two. I look forward to using them more in the future!

My pet developed a serious infection during her stay at pet palace that went undetected by their…read morestaff. I left my dogs in the care of Pet Palace on Thursday afternoon and picked them up on Monday. When we arrived home on Monday, I immediately noticed one of my dogs had a very swollen, painful and inflamed side belly. After a trip to the vet, the vet said it appeared that something had pierced her skin and that developed an infection. She also had a high fever. My pet had to be sedated so they could drain and clean the infection. When I called pet palace to make them aware, they said they "do daily inspections of the dog and would have to check in with the employee who examined her to see if anything looked off". I do not understand how any reasonable person or animal lover would not be concerned by the appearance of my pets side belly. I can't even imagine how this could have worsened if we did not pick her up on Monday. It is very concerning to me that pet palace does not seem to actually check on the animals staying there and that they don't have any proper documentation of these daily checks. The employee said all she could offer was an apology. I will not be taking my pets back to pet palace and would not recommend anyone else leaving their animals in their care.

Jessica Lawson and employee there admitted that she did this. She said I gave your dog a choice to eat in his cage so yes he got to keep his food all night. 12 hours of bacterial in his food EVERY NIGHT. My baby was home less than 48 before when he died at 6:37pm the 1st then finally at 7pm forever. . I paid Fuzzz to protect my dogs. He has admitted fault but only said he would pay for my vet bills and educate his employees. You can't pay for vet bills and expect to make things go away. I won't be blackmailed into not pursuing justice for all the animals that have been hurt at Fuzzz Playground. I will seek justice for my Pongo. My baby is dead from their NEGLIGENCE, uneducated and running a dog day care. If you have a hurt animal or have in the past.
