Hello, This has been long overdue!…read moreI have had the pleasure of going to Nontantum Boxing Club (NBC) for over two years, and this place changed my life. The club loves teaching others of all shapes, sizes, and ages boxing. The old-school vibe is amazing and the people there are supportive, it has become my second home. The club holds classes with cancer survivors and through this club, I joined the Haymakers for Hope a cancer charity to "Knock out Cancer." The owners are reachable and accessible for questions if need be. I LOVE THIS GYM more than anything, I call it my second home. The monthly rate is more than reasonable compared to other places. They also hold a class for children on Saturday mornings. (It's cute to see the kids' box) The club is open 7 days a week with morning and evening classes. Can't say enough things about this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a member at Title Boxing Watertown for the past half-year or so…read more Around a month ago, I approached the staff at Title Boxing Watertown (Massachusetts) and asked them to cancel my membership as I planned to move to New York. The staff told me to cancel my membership in the app, but the app cancellation did not work. I went abroad right after so was unable to get in touch with staff subsequently The cancellation did not happen, and I went to the owner, Sean Lally, and asked him to cancel and not charge me on October 23 (the 23rd is my billing date) because I had made an in-person cancellation request. He again told me to go through the app and refused to honor my cancellation request that I had made previously. I tried to cancel in the app, and the cancellation was not working again. I was shocked by what happened next. When I asked the owner, Sean, to come to some arrangement so that I would not be charged for an entire month that I would not be able to use, he was very rude and refused to come to any sort of mutually satisfying arrangement. Moreover, he told me that it "convenient" for me that in-app cancellation was not working. When I told Sean that he runs his business in an unfair manner, he began to stereotype me and told me "that is why you don't own your own business." When I asked why he thought I didn't he replied "I just assume you don't." This is when our interaction turned from mere rudeness and unprofessionalism into utterly inappropriate behavior. Shortly thereafter, Sean told me to "get out." Needless to say, I no longer feel welcome going to Title Boxing Watertown.

I came for class on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised at the customer service and quality of the class. I was greeted by 2 instructors, filled out a waiver, and got situated with what I needed for class. They allowed me to use the slip on hand wraps that I has previously from boxing at another location, but recommended getting their wraps next time if I continue to box there. Wraps are $10 and glove rentals are $10, which I didn't use since I own my own pair of boxing gloves. There were a few other new people so our small group went into the boxing ring to review the technique for the 6 different punches. After that we joined in the class for the rest of the warmup followed by 8 rounds on the bags and ending with a core workout. For your first class, you will have 1 round of sparring with an instructor to make sure you are doing correct technique and to allow you to feel more comfortable as a boxer. This was super helpful and fun to do. The boxing ring is only for practice and no actual fighting occurs. The punching bags are 100lbs that hang and can swing around a little bit when you're punching. The instructor demonstrates in the middle and walks around to check in on everyone. The instructor we had sounded a little aggressive, but kept motivation high for people to keep going which fit in with the boxing vibe. This is absolutely an amazing place if you want to learn how to box and get a superb workout in as well. I hope to be back someday to take another class.

As a new student, I never feel pressured to purchase uniforms or equipment directly from them. From an outside perspective, academies like these can seem intimidating. However, Florian's is the most inclusive environment I have participated in over my 30 years of training in different styles and at other academies. Although I have only been there briefly, I feel part of this group because everyone goes out of their way to be welcoming. It is an excellent place for women to train together as well.

If your looking for a great workout, amazing classes, A great community, and a kick ass fitness staff this is the place. I'm new here and have gone to two classes so far and they both kicked my ass. The open gym has all the equipment you might need and there is plenty of open space to work out in plus heavy bags, speed bags, and two rings. The negatives since that is what we read the review for (to see if a can live with the negatives) there are no showers so going before work can be a challenge. But they have a good afternoon and evening schedule for after work. Also they are really laid back. Which is great because I didn't feel pressure to join and sign a two year agreement and buy a bunch of equipment. But at the same time my wife and I went twice to sign up and it was hard to get someone to take our money. But they did and we are loving it so far. Highly recommend kick-boxing. That was until we paid a visit to TMX. As a parent I was impressed with the cleanliness and the Covid Safety measures in place. As well as the professionalism displayed by the staff. My biggest accolades for this gym is the fact that after only being there for about 10 minutes the staff made my son feel so comfortable and excited that a fire within was ignited and he actually stayed for a class. So far my son has only been to one class however we have signed him up for a membership. His words at the end of the class were "who knew exercise could be so much fun"!

I set up a series of private sessions and found Chris to have great technical skills and an easy to follow teaching philosophy. How they operate is you come in for a class whether it be 6:30 in the morning or 4:30 in the afternoon except certain days they change up the schedule. It's loud it's proud its punch it out w/ a hint of resistance . The only flaw I found is they lock the door when they're having the classes so you have to come before and make sure that someone's around to have any type of conversation . They do offer training services either there or a two other gyms and I'm pretty sure you don't have to be a member of those two other gyms because the trainer is, which is a great benefit. There was no period of warm up per se, and it was hard to get warmed up without hopping right into it. This is certainly high intensity interval training, and even though it's marketed as zero experience needed, you will need at least some form of Fitness in order to keep up. I was a little concerned that there wasn't enough space in order to stretch out or to do exercises. I also don't know if it is intentional or not, but the ventilation is very poor up until the very end where it is breezy. I wish the air conditioner could have been running at least during the exercises, so it would have been more comfortable to do. They do show you a training video of how to do the boxing wraps, but at least when we were there we didn't have to do that. We also did not box each other, but instead did a mix of resistance training, and hitting the bag. I also didn't realize I would be using my shoulders that much, or my knees, considering I am nursing an injury right now. Nevertheless the concept is a change of pace from traditional exercise, and I would go there again for something different. One other thing I would mention is that the Acoustics need to change, or the microphone needs to be more clear, as the sound was muffled or trailing and it was hard to hear the instructions given.

I came in with my daughter to get some exercise and get in shape and it worked awesome. You get a great total body workout with a lot of cardio conditioning. I came in at 262 lbs. A year later I'm under 200 for the first time in years, at 196. Shooting for 180 for this summer. If you want a great workout without the drudgery of standing on a treadmill hour after hour for months, this is the place. Ed P.
