They called me back the following day and had me drop off the computer around 1:00 p.m.. Luckily, they were able to clean it and get it working the following morning. I was really surprised they could get it back to me so quickly. They even took pictures of the coffee on the motherboard, under the keyboard...it was really gross! I felt bad for having them clean up my mess, but it was certainly easier, faster and more economical to fix what I already had.

WavTek Computer service in Crystal Lake. They have very sophisticated equipment to diagnose and retrieve data. Long story short, they recovered everything. They saved everything to a external drive. She has her photos again. To say my wife was ecstatic is an understatement. Emotional tears of joy. Understand they are not a retail store, they are service and network professionals. After speaking with a multitude of companies, I was met with many dead ends. With these previous companies, communication would stop or people wouldn't show. Then I contacted Christensen Computer Company. Richard called me very shortly after I sent a request. He was flexible with scheduling a day to come look at our cameras. He was very communicative during the whole process and always made sure I received a call back. When he got here to look at the camera, he immediately started investigating. I don't know much about cameras, but I knew our system was older and had a LOT going on. I could tell right away, Richard was very knowledgeable. He immediately spotted all the little pieces of our system and how it was connected, and confirmed it did have a LOT going on. However, this did not deter him. Richard explained to me how our system was set up and started talking about different solutions depending on the problem. Our camera ended up needing a simple fix and it has been working great since. Granted, I could probably swap out a decent amount of the enterprise grade equipment on the quote and cut it down a couple thousand, but it would still be outrageous.
