His fee in included providing me with a copy of the Microsoft OS and the Open Suse installation. But Aziz warned me that he would charge me if I needed MS Office restored. However when I picked up the laptop, Aziz had loaded Ubuntu instead. He explained that there were too many problems when he tried to load Open Suse on this new computer. Initially I agreed to the substitution until I discovered that Ubuntu is more unstable version of Linux than Open Suse. In addition it's not user friendly at all. I had so many issues that I went weeks without a working laptop. When I called him for assistance, Aziz said he had to research the issue online - then he would call me back. One and a half weeks later he called asking whether I still had the same issue. When I said yes, he said he would research it. ( I thought he was already researching the issue.) In the end I requested the ISO copy of my original Microsoft OS so I could restore it to the original version. But he said he was unable to make an ISO copy due to the laptops compartmentalization (?). Instead he offered to restore the Microsoft OS for no charge. 1) I wish I had been informed about the Ubuntu substitution before the completion of the work. 2) Granted, Aziz did not charge me for the Microsoft OS restoration, and I acknowledge he invested a lot of time in working on my laptop, But he kept the money I paid for the Open Suse installation and never delivered on the original contracted service. 3) He does not like people to just show up at the store. He's insistent that people call before stopping by. Bottom Line- I would not recommend Aziz for any Linux related conversions or Linux related repair services. And be very aware that he has a no refund policy - even if you don't receive the service you contracted for.

I needed a network cable installed for another computer and he came right over. I knew the job was not going to be easy and I told him so. He said he was not scared and got busy. They called me back the following day and had me drop off the computer around 1:00 p.m.. Luckily, they were able to clean it and get it working the following morning. I was really surprised they could get it back to me so quickly. They even took pictures of the coffee on the motherboard, under the keyboard...it was really gross! I felt bad for having them clean up my mess, but it was certainly easier, faster and more economical to fix what I already had.

My wife was inconsolable. I didn't 100% trust the opinion of the Best Buy technicians so with hopes of a save I brought the laptop home with me to Illinois. I went to some guys I trust. WavTek Computer service in Crystal Lake. They have very sophisticated equipment to diagnose and retrieve data. Long story short, they recovered everything. They saved everything to a external drive. She has her photos again. To say my wife was ecstatic is an understatement. Emotional tears of joy. Understand they are not a retail store, they are service and network professionals. WavTek saved the day and I highly recommend them.

After speaking with a multitude of companies, I was met with many dead ends. With these previous companies, communication would stop or people wouldn't show. Then I contacted Christensen Computer Company. Richard called me very shortly after I sent a request. He was flexible with scheduling a day to come look at our cameras. He was very communicative during the whole process and always made sure I received a call back. When he got here to look at the camera, he immediately started investigating. I don't know much about cameras, but I knew our system was older and had a LOT going on. I could tell right away, Richard was very knowledgeable. He immediately spotted all the little pieces of our system and how it was connected, and confirmed it did have a LOT going on. However, this did not deter him. Richard explained to me how our system was set up and started talking about different solutions depending on the problem. Our camera ended up needing a simple fix and it has been working great since. Our office is now talking about installing more cameras for increased security. He was very patient with all my questions, gave me a few good options, and was very understanding about our requests for estimates. It wasn't. They wiped out our brand new MS Office 2010, and installed the old MS Office 95. We I went back in and talked to them, Joy accused me of lying, and said I never had 2010! In addition to that, I had them look at mulitple computers for me, mostly spares, and it was always the same answer from them; the mother board is fried, so I'd recycle them, or use them for parts. When my main PC that I had everything on, (itunes, music, pics) stopped working, they told me the same thing; mother board is fried. They gave me several quotes for replacing the board, and I decided to just buy a new PC, and brought the old one home. Well last week, my 18 y.o. son wantd to mess around with it. After an hour, he discovered it was just the esata ports for the hard drive that were bad, He bought a $20 pci express card with 2 esata ports on it, plugged it in, and it works perfect!! I saw that they are currently advertising a $75 for $100 deal on YELP and wanted to check them out. I called and didn't get any answer. I then decided to venture over to the address listed and it turned out to be a residence so I didn't step out because I wasn't 100% if it was the right place. I'm assuming though the owner may be running the business from their home. So finally I decided to fill out their form requesting information regarding their virus removal. The message went through but I got no email or followup to my query a few days later. Maybe the owner has a lot of business and doesn't need anymore. That's fine. Will seek business elsewhere.
