Fidelity Office in Roseville - not good customer service experience. My wife and I went into Fidelity Office in Roseville to move funds from an IRA into a cd in December 2025. The female employee that helped us was watching when I logged on to their computer and saw my password. So we needed to switch to another employee and change our password. We set-up 2 cd's and we always ask questions like: interest rate, length of cd, confirm non-callable, and if the cd pays interest monthly or at the end of the term. So the $80K cd we choose paid monthly however the maturity date was different monthly then the date the cd started. CD began on December 17, 2025 - so intuitively you would think on January 17, 2026 we would receive the first interest payment. That was not the case the first interest payment was not until February 1, 2026. This should have been communicated when we choose the cd. read more

Staff was very helpful and friendly. I like the free treats in the lobby. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and made an appointment for me. And I felt the gentleman who assisted me with my account was honest and kind. read more

Had an appointment with Vinita Brooks and she couldn't have been worse across the board. She was late, rude, didn't greet us, didn't welcome us, and then appeared to have absolutely knowledge of her job? When she came to meet us, she simply said our name, and when we waved to say, "That's us!" she turned around, headed to her office, and just sat at her table and stared blank faced at us. We asked, "Do you want us to come in?" she said, "yes." So, we came in and sat down. I then said, "Hello?" as she just stared, not greeting us, introducing herself, or anything. We explained we were there to set up a certain type of account, which she could not understand. We repeated ourselves five times, and she acted like she had never heard these words before. We repeated several times that we were setting up business accounts, and she repeatedly referred to them as personal accounts, completely not understanding our words. It became apparent after only a few minutes that she was unprepared, seemed to have no knowledge of basic fundamentals of her job, and I said, "Okay, thank you, we're going to do this online." Again, she just sat and stared blankly. She didn't get up, walk us to the door, say goodbye... Literally the weirdest encounter and meeting we have ever had. As we walked out, we asked to speak to a supervisor and after watching the guy in the front relay our message to someone in the back, he said nobody could talk to us (despite even admitting two supervisors were there). Even after having had the awful encounter with Vinita and then relaying it to the front office guy and the managers, nobody has even called to follow up three days later. I wouldn't trust Vinita with the money in my wallet let alone anything with my personal or business financial accounts. read more

The service was absolutely a major disappointment. So much so, I closed the account and took a check to a new organization that provides quality customer service. Interesting to see all these terrible reviews in 2022. I was and am a Fidelity customer since 2002. One day in 2005, I went to the Roseville, CA office to make a deposit and while there, I wanted to ask someone a quick question. At that time, it was just me, the receptionists and the branch manager. There were no other employees or customers on the premises. At one point, I saw the man who turned out to be the branch manager, standing just a few feet away. He had just walked a client to the front door and didn't seem to be particularly busy. I asked him if I could ask him a quick question. He just gave me a numb look and said he was busy and that one of his account managers could help me. Then the receptionists piped-up and told this manager that all those people were not currently in. So, the manager went on and on about how busy he was and yada, yada, yada. I then informed the branch manager that he has now expended far more time giving me excuses as to why he couldn't answer my question, than it would have taken to answer my question, in the first place. He just glared at me and walked into his office. I was fuming and thought very seriously about moving my stock portfolio to another brokerage. I stayed with Fidelity, primarily due to their online persona and telephone assistance. But let me tell you, hadn't not been for their online capabilities, I would have been gone in a New York minute. Based on the poor reviews here, it seems like some things, never change. My 1-star review is for this specific branch, not Fidelity Investments, the company. read more

BEWARE!! Fidelity Investments sent the inheritance claim paperwork to some random person in a different state although they had our correct information when my mother-in-law died way back in 2008. We never knew there were 2 accounts. Fidelity never contacted us at anytime. When we spoke to the Executor of my mother-in-law's will last month, we learned that Fidelity Investments had paid the other siblings back in 2008. Ever since then, we've been trying without success to resolve this problem with Fidelity. First they said they couldn't find any accounts. Then they sent the inheritance paperwork to some unknown person in another state. Then they said the account was empty. Then they said they wouldn't tell us if this stranger was paid. Then they said they would no longer discuss the matter. We've had to hire an attorney. read more

I called this business today asking for help with starting an IRA which needed to be done today, for tax purposes. I chose this place because I had heard the name before and thought it was a strong institution... Hmmm When I called, I was told that no one was available to me and that I could do it online myself .... which I had no idea of what it even was and no one would explain it to me ... online.. ! Wow. And, after reading more of the reviews on this page, I guess it was to be expected that I wouldn't be helped. Then, I called the number my tax guy gave me and got a personal financial advisor at my location in 2 hours. His name is Ron Segon, his number is 916-580-7681. Call him! Super nice and has vast experience base... He handles everything from stocks to IRA's to mutual funds and much much more! I felt like Ron wanted my business and wanted to help me. I am so happy I didn't have to be frustrated by this company and possibly lose money as others have. Dodged a bullet here I guess... Sadly. read more

Worst customer service I have had in Roseville. Fidelity has changed exponentially over the last five years. They hire people with attitude & nice suits. Branch should close down. Do yourself no service if you call the office with the only number they give you, a toll free number. Tell the electronic operator you want to speak to your advisor named Dave Winther and the automated operator will not understand. Tell the electronic operator "receptionist" and you will be put on hold for 30 minutes. When the "receptionist" answers you might discover this person is in Florida. You tell this person your an investor and would like to talk to your advisor named Dave Winther or his boss Kai Sonoyama, VP, Branch Manager. The person in Florida promises to pass on the messages. You wait a week and you get no call from either. You discover your nothing to Fidelity or this office. I had a small investment, Dave Winther made a small mistake with my initial investment that I wanted to discuss. Just earned a sudden 1/2 mil selling my 50% share of my business and was willing to work forward. How can you work forward with no communication, no call back from your advisor, or the so called person in charge, Kai Sonoyama, VP, Branch Manager I checked out. Withdrew my funds, feel like an idiot putting my trust here. I can only move forward elsewhere. read more

Customer service does not exist at the Roseville branch. It is funny, but when people drop their life savings into a brokerage you expect to be able to contact someone when you have a question. Luckily we found out how poor the service was BEFORE investing with them. Extremely poor service. I dont know how they manage to stay open. read more

Fidelity just cost me $12,000. I am retired and dependent on an IRA I have maintained with Fidelity. For convenience, I signed up for "automatic" Minimum Required Distributions. I took a withdrawal early last year, expecting Fidelity "automatically" to make up the balance to meet the minimum requirement. Instead, they disregarded my early distribution and took out the entire amount which was far more than the minimum required because of my prior withdrawal. That cost me $12,000 extra in taxes. I appealed, they looked into it, and were "so sorry" but they would not reverse it, as they could have. They told me "it was your fault." Do not trust Fidelity with your finances. read more

Very poor service. Made to wait endlessly for minor transaction. Long line and it looked like everyone was getting poor service. The attitude of the staff was aloof and unhelpful. The bank that Fidelity uses, had written me a check that bounced. No one could figure out how to contact their bank and fix it. Ridiculous. In October 2015, was visiting my brother's new home in Roseville and getting around town by bicycle when I decided to enter the local Fidelity Investments store to get a free cup of coffee. Did again two days later. The office staff very attentive as multiple people asked if I had been helped. I was there just to drink free coffee and catch up on my financial news. Having invested in Magellan over 30 years ago, I am very satisfied with the service. Investment advice is another subject. But you get what you pay for. read more

Horrible company not worthy of any stars. I am still dealing with the IRS due to their incompetence. When attempting to rollover a Fidelity IRA to a company-sponsored 401k at another institution Fidelity issued a form that was for distributions from a retirement account. In other words, this form was intended for people who are withdrawing money. When we pointed out this obvious problem they insisted it was the only form we could use (even though the instructions say another form is available). So we went to the other institution and got a form that clearly indicated this was a rollover and not a taxable distribution. Nevertheless, Fidelity reported the entire amount as a taxable distribution. We are now having to file an amended return with the IRS. We are so glad to be rid of these idiots. read more

This place sucks. Absolutely slow, hard to get a straight answer. Took me OVER A MONTH to open a trust account. In that time, due to SLOW, UNTIMELY work by fidelity, I lost $70,000. And they don't even call back. Now, a month later and STILL UNABLE TO ACCESS MY MONEY, the guy who opened my account is on vacation and I can't even get a call back. I have had accounts with Fidelity Investments for over 15 years. Whenever I have called the customer service number for assistance with a transaction they have always been extremely professional and helpful. The local branches of Fidelity are investment centers by appointment for retirement planning however if you have a check deposit or need a wire sent out from your account the representatives at the counter are always happy to assist. The wires are free and they are transferred same day if done before 1pm. You also receive emails letting you know that a transfer has been initiated and when the wire goes out. The representatives are always willing to get me in touch with the appropriate department if they're not able to take care of a specific service request related to employer held 401k plans. Most accounts can be set up online but if you go in to a branch they're always willing to help set up the account at their online kiosk. At one point they seemed to be understaffed at the front counter but within the last year they appear to have brought on some very professional, welcoming front counter representatives who are always very hospitable and willing to help. They offer you a variety of hot & cold beverages while you're there. The branch is beautiful, comfortable and the advisors are extremely knowledgeable & polite. Best part is they have 4.95 trades online, the advisor appointments are complimentary with asset level minimums, and the customer service number provides complimentary advisors over the phone for any asset level. I've had my whole family open Fidelity accounts over the years & they have all been very pleased with the interest rate returns on the free mutual funds that hold your money and keep it liquid in a checkings account with no minimum nor fees. They also reimburse for any atm fees that are charged when you pull out cash at random atms. Don't let the few negative reviews from past experiences cloud your view from the hundreds of satisfied clients such as myself who frequent the Roseville Fidelity branch weekly. read more

Work with Fidelity Investments at your own risk. First, they heavily push their own products to your detriment. Second, they simply do not have the market knowledge of other types of products to assist investors with solutions to meet their needs. Finally, and most importantly, they make every single transaction unnecessarily complex and paper-intensive. In a world where I can complete an entire real estate transaction electronically, Fidelity is laughably behind the times. When I decided to move my funds to a more complex investment trust, they were an absolute nightmare to work with. They questioned all my legal documents, threatened to illegally withhold taxes from the transaction, and required me to prove my identity no less than FIVE TIMES during the transaction. What should have been a 20 to 30 minute process took two hours and multiple telephone calls on their part to their back office. I will never, ever work with this company again, and I recommend you find another company as well. read more
