No summer is complete without a trip to the drive-in. This location can't be beat. All movies are first run. The first movie starts at dusk and is family friendly, they have a short intermission and a second film follows. All at one low cost (around $8 for adults, $4 for kids under 11) They have your typical theater fare...popcorn, candy, soda and some of the best pizza around. They also have a restaurant with bar food although we've never tried that. Gates open around 6:30 and it's good to come early to get the best spot. They have a basketball court and playground to keep you busy until the movie starts. I knocked off one star simply because of all the rules (absolutely no carry-ins allowed) but I guess it is understandable. Bring blankets and pillows and maybe some bug spray and pile the kids into your car for a good old time. You won't be disappointed. read more

This is a really nice theater with great staff. The adult prices are good, but the children's prices are a bargain. The food is also really great and the prices are decent. They have seemed to work out the bugs with the new digital projector and we had no problems during our movie. During our trip, our car battery died and we had someone out within several minutes to give us a jump. read more

Watched Ice Age: Collision Course and the new Ghostbusters movie. Which was fantastic. Dropped $5 in the arcade and killed a bunch of zombies with my girlfriend for about half an hour at the snack bar prior to the movies. We also devoured a large buffalo chicken pizza. Not great. Had dark and white chicken and was a little burnt. But we didn't come for the pizza and giant sodas. We came for the ability to responsibly smoke while watching a big screen movie together. It is evident that this business has a lack of professionalism and little to no concern for their customers. This past weekend I had the displeasure of dealing with insensitive employees at the concession stand and their equally discourteous manager who denied my fiancé and I access to buying 8 dollars worth of food and drinks because of their out-of-date credit card service. Since we were unable to pay with the amount cash we had at the time, and we did not have a 10 dollar or higher purchase, we were forced to put our items back. As if this encounter wasn't frustrating enough, it soon became apparent that Field of Scenes' monetary priorities carried over into their overall experience. During the first movie, Frozen, the screen literally froze up three times. With these numerous disruptions, sometimes lasting ten minutes long, this was the cherry on top of an already upsetting movie experience. It seem likely that if this were to happen in an indoor movie theater customers would get their money back. Instead, we were told that, due the inconvenience, those who had purchased popcorn would get a free refill. Meanwhile, those of us who did not purchase popcorn (or were denied access to purchasing food altogether) did not receive any compensation. Though the second movie did not freeze, I was upset that we were not given the opportunity to see the short scene at the end of the credits. Being a Marvel movie, it's pretty obvious that Captain America will have a highly anticipated scene (or two) following the movie itself. Having scene only the first scene, customers were told The Field of Scenes was calling it a night before we were able to see the second hidden scene. This movie has been shown how many times in the past week? Wouldn't it be obvious that there are two scenes? Talk about robbing the customers from getting their money's worth. I soon learned from looking at others' reviews online that the previous weekend other customers shared a similar dissatisfaction during their experience. Considering this drive-in has been playing Frozen and Captain America The Winter Soldier since May 23rd, with four showings prior to the showing I attended, one would think that they would have made it their top priority to make sure the technical glitches they had confronted early on were fixed before the next weekend of showings. Unfortunately this was not the case. If you want to get a great value and drive-in experience, I recommend you steer clear of Field of Scenes. They have a reputation for disappointment. Go to outdoor theaters in Shawano, Chilton, or Fish Creek or do yourself a favor and stick with the indoor movie theaters. read more

The one in freedom sucked! My boyfriend and I took my truck and thought it would be a cute date so we were going to see the new fast and furious movie in field 2. It was all fun until the movie actually started. No where on their website said that you had to turn ur car radio on and play the sound from there. I don't have a car radio so I wouldn't have even went. Also their website never said anything about it the sound being on the radio and it didn't even say a station to go off of. Oh and better yet I tried calling the number while I was there to ask a question and the number is either busy or discontinued. We left after 10 min of the movie because it didn't pay. What a waste of $16 and gas money. My boyfriend and I couldn't done something way more fun with the money and time we wasted. read more

This place could be great if they wouldn't over modulate the sound. I have a premium sound system in my car and have been to other drive in theaters and usually the audio is awesome. This theatre, however, they try to push too much volume through their broadcasters and consequently it makes the audio sound distorted. It isn't just my stereo, I walked around and could hear the same distorted sound coming from other people's speakers. Their bathrooms are nice and clean, the snack area is also clean and air conditioned and the parking area for the movies is covered in grass. Generally a great drive in but the audio is terrible. If they would simply turn down the broadcast audio so it wouldn't distort, this would be a five star review. read more

This is a great place for families. For one price you can get two first run movies. The food is also very good and reasonably priced.

:( Movies are good but staff has no courtesy. I had $7.50 worth of merchandise to purchase at the snack shack. They have a $10 minimum credit card policy which is already Jurassic, but they were unwavering and I put my stuff back. When I confronted the manager Taylor, I was given a spineless, just-following-the-rules response that culminated with him telling me things weren't going to change. Don't bother with these 19th-century knuckleheads. Go see movies at the indoor cinemas instead or the other outdoor options (Shawano, Fish Creek).
