Also I am scrapbooking for my grandsons and found stickers,binders and containers!! All items were around $5.00. You definitely will find treasures. I have been recently following several different rescues on Facebook when I was looking for a new kitty to adopt and discovered Fieldhaven. Then I learned that they had a thrift shop that supported the rescue plus having kitties to pet? what more could you want. Finally made it here today on a Wednesday. It is located in the older downtown area of Lincoln. Very quaint with street parking and a very small parking lot of about 8 spaces. It is small inside and you may never notice the indoor catios of cats to be adopted. The one closer to the door is very small with two adult cats. The other side has a double entry door to keep escaping kittens from getting out. Yes Kittens!! There were 4 that I saw with another one hiding. Surprised that they were as skittish as they were considering there was a lot of traffic in there. They limit up to 4 people in at a time. There is a vending/gumball machine to buy cat treats but clearly they were either tired of them or they weren't tasty because NONE of them wanted it. But I still got to pet every single one. I recently adopted 3 and hubs said no more but I tell you if I could find one more to win his heart, we will have 4. I'm working on it :) Now onto the thrift store itself. The ladies working there are very nice. The store is pretty full and priced fairly. All clothing items are $4. Very easy. Its clean and organized. All proceeds help the rescue. Fieldhaven is one of the best local cat rescues I have seen so I was happy to support. I didn't buy anything but I donated money in the jar up front. Next time I will come here to donate my next box of goods instead of using the curbside mailers. read more

This place has had a glow up since I last went! I always seem to find something but today there was so much to look at and lots of great finds. It also seems more open and organized. Parking is on the side of the building but limited. Street parking is free but I usually can find a spot on the side of the building or in front. Proceeds of this place goes to helping cats and providing low fee or free services. The store itself is small but it has so much packed in. There are items for your cat family, clothing for men and women, shoes, lots of purses, lots of jewelry, DVDs, CDs, books, cookbooks, appliances, furniture, and more. I wish I took more pictures because mine do not do it justice. They also have a lot of sales and the prices are already low. Sometimes they have free items in front of the store. After I look at everything, I drop off my basket by the cashier and go into the cat cafe, champys. There is comfortable seating and cat toys you can use to engage with the kitties. It's a nice dopamine hit after shopping. I highly recommend this place for the variety and great prices. It's a bonus that it's for a good cause and you can play with cats too. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon when they were having their winter wonderland event to check out the store and the cats. I came kind of late as almost 20 cats had already been adopted for the day, so there were only a few left. I was able to walk around the store and get on the wait list to get into the cat area. There's such a wide selection of clothes, kitchenware, pet supplies, toys, jewelry, etc. so much to see. I love that they support cat adoptions and hope to adopt from them soon. read more

Such a quaint and fun little thrift store. Prices are very very affordable and it helps maintain their Fieldhaven feline center. I've gotten my cats help from there and they're very friendly so the least I can do is visit this spot weekly to check out what cool stuff they've brought in. Hubby and I stopped in this afternoon to play with their adoptable kitties, they had plenty of toys and cat trees for them to play on! And all proceeds from the Thrift Store it is located inside of goes directly to FieldHaven! Our favorite was Mr. Buttons, he was a sweet 11 month old kitten who loved playing with cat wands with us! I would recommend visiting, cats are very therapeutic to de-stress and it's free to play with them, in fact the staff encourage it! As they mentioned it's good for them too! When I saw that this thrift store is operated by a cat welfare organization, I had to add it to my "got to visit" list. Now that I've been there, I'll be sure to go back. The store is small, but I found it well-supplied with the stuff I was looking for. (Right now my "stuff" is kitchen accessories. I found three of the "right" use-until-broken salad bowls I've been trying to find for weeks.) I didn't realize until later that they also have an area with cats to play with and kittens to adopt. I'm not sure about that. If I go in, I may come out with a kitten, and I've already got one cat more than I thought I wanted. If you love cats, go to this store! If you don't love cats... you'll probably find it worth your while anyway. read more

Spoke to two different employees in one visit and both spoke with such a bad attitude. One was over the $5 card minimum, the minimum price was fine but it was the way she was speaking. She spoke rudely telling me to buy more if I wanted to use my card. Was still giving attitude when I added another item and still didn't meet the minimum. Second was when I was asking a different employee a clarifying "free" sign question. They really need to learn how to speak to their customers. read more

I really love this place now this is an updated review as of May 2024. I have found the most amazing stuff in here all the clothes price four dollars unless they are brand new with tags and then they are just a few dollars more! This place has some great stuff! A few weeks ago I got four brand new pillow covers extremely gorgeous and artsy for four dollars apiece! They look great on my sofa. The volunteers here are so nice. You can go in and pet some cats if you feel like it! What is not to love!! read more

Worth a visit, and another and another... you know how thrifting is! This is a fantastic shop with an excellent selection. I was delighted to find quite a few brand new high end clothing items. The staff/volunteers were all super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The area for the kitties was the highlight of the trip for us, of course. There were two sweet adoptable cats hanging out and enjoying pets. Located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, with several great places to eat in the surrounding couple of blocks, this made for the perfect weekend adventure with a friend. The parking was easy and free. They accept donations during business hours, no appointment needed, though you'll probably want to check what types of items they are in need of. Their selection included furniture, household items, records, DVDs, an entire section of western wear, saddles, boots, shoes, purses, cat and dog supplies, clothing, jewelry and a seasonal holiday section. Was browsing around Old Town Lincoln on 7/15/23 with my daughter's and we stopped in for the first time. LOVE THIS STORE!! So many cute things, the staff was amazing, and there are cats!!! Smelled HORRIBLE! This was my second time going there. The first time was fine. Today was a completely different experience. It literally smelled like I walked into 10 cat boxes and got hit in the face with cigarette ashes at the same time as soon as I walked through the door. It was so bad that I was trying to not breathe it in the whole time and even contemplated walking right out. I'm a huge cat lover, but that smell was out of control. They need to get some odor control in there. And the cigarette smoke smell was atrocious. I feel terrible for the cats having to breathe that in all day long. To top it off, their prices were just OK. Clothing options were very mediocre. Nothing to return for. My friend told me she went once and also dealt with a horrible smell the whole time as well. So I know this wasn't just a one time thing. read more

I wanted to find somewhere to donate things that makes a difference and wasn't just a corporation. I found this wonderful and cute shop with an area to "decompress" and spend time with the animals. I not only took time to donate but I also spent some time and found some small items. The time spent with animals was also wonderful in the middle of a busy move. I would suggest visiting and spending time there. You would be lucky not to lose your wallet or walk out with a new cuddly kitty. read more

3.5 stars. Happened to drive past this place one day while in Lincoln and thought I would check it out. When I walked in, I was pretty amazed at how big the place is. It just goes on and on in the back! Everything was beautifully decorated and you could tell someone took a lot of time to make it look nice. To the sides, there were also some cats lounging in a gated area, possibly for adoption? That was kinda cool. During my visit, another customer came in and entered the gate area and was hanging out and petting the cats. The place is very neat and they have quite a lot of variety. Prices are okay. I wouldn't say they're great, because some items are IMO priced on the high side. But since their proceeds do go to a good cause, I guess that's a little better. I walked the store for quite a while that day because it's so big. However, towards the end, I started getting really sniffly and my nose started itching. I guess maybe I'm sensitive to pet dander or something. So while the concept of having a thrift store and a pet adoption area in the same building within close proximity to each other is a unique idea, for those of us who are mildly sensitive to cat hair, it might be something to consider. But if you're not allergic to cats or sensitive to pet dander, then definitely check this place out. It's a very cute place! read more

A portion of the proceeds go towards Fieldhaven, a non-profit feline rescue center. They have rescued many felines and found permanent placements for these kitties. Went yesterday for the first time. What a great place! Got to pet some sweet kitties that were up for adoption, and found a J Crew sweater and two other tops for an incredible price. I am a thrift store junkie. I go to all thrift stores, all the time. My very favorite thrift store is Hospice Thrift in Roseville. But Fieldhaven made it to 2nd place after just one visit! Any store who's proceeds go towards a good cause gets extra points in my book (AKA, not the Goodwill). My son LOVES cats. There's a whole separate area at the front of the store to feed, pet, snuggle and play with cats that are up for adoption. GENIUS IDEA! My favorite part of the store was all of the cute housewares and decor. An assortment of unique, vintage, and overall super cool stuff. You can tell they are picky about what they choose to display and sell. Their prices are a little bit bi-polar. Some stuff seems like a steal, other stuff is priced quite high. How do they keep the place smelling good? The volunteers must be cleaning 24/7. VERY impressive! I'd highly recommend coming here to browse, kill time, or look for a gift! We've stopped into Fieldhaven a few times. I like to support a local non-profit. They have a nice selection and it's well set up for a thrift shop. While the prices are maybe a little higher than you'd want to pay at a thrift shop, knowing the proceeds go to supporting cat adoption makes them more palatable. I especially like seeing the kitties up for adoption around the shop. Note, they don't have public bathrooms, so if you're potty training a toddler, don't linger too long... or if you're a pregnant mama... read more

I'm such a regular that the staff is pretty used to me. I've found everyone to be helpful and will work with the customer if a large item can't be picked up right away. The presentation is great, very attractive furniture, all in a professional yet a comfortable atmosphere, and they obviously love the cats. The section with the kitties roaming freely, some adoptable, was a terrific idea and a super cool place to just hang out even if you're not looking for a pet at the time. I saw a mention by another reviewer that they give a "portion" of proceeds to the cats. That is a big understatement. Almost all the workers are volunteers. They give as much to the cats as they can, (not just a small amount-it is huge!) and the things they do go help and save lives of cats and kittens is monumental. read more
