Food was in general ok for our group. My burger was seasoned well and the onion rings were huge! The cheese sticks were tasty. The other meals were ordinary at best. Service was not good- so if you are ok with no plates, empty drinks, asking and having it forgotten, asking to try a wing sauce (to decide on which sauce) and then having the sauce come out "on the side" with the wings...then have at it. Our group has been going to The Fieldhouse every Friday night for over 3 years. We had, at one point in the evening, 10 people in our group that came eating and drinking. We had an issue this evening and asked to speak to the manager. When he came over he was what I would describe as no less than an a**. We addressed our issue with him and he was clear there was no discussing it at one point with him saying "I'm not going to argue with you". Super close to my sister's house and probably I imagine one of the more ideal places to watch a sporting event. They have two adjoining rooms here and we chose the backroom area that has a little stage area off to the side if I'm remembering correctly. It's a sports bar dive but they had pretty decent food. The drinks tempted me enough that I indulged in ordering a cocktail. They come in mason jars. Now that I think of it, I'm not even sure what I ordered. I want to say the Huckleberry cocktail but it tasted like lemonade more than anything berry. Beer here is probably a safer bet. Happy Hour: 2:30-6pm (1/2 price drafts, specials every day of the week). One of the specials might I note is bottomless wine for $12 on Wednesdays. Now, if I lived here, I would probably be here at least once a month on a Wednesday. You bet your bottom dollar. Their quesadillas are bomb diggidy. I would have appreciated it even more if the waitress didn't forget my sour cream and salsa. But that sucker is stuffed with shrimp and tons of cheese. It was so good. Appetizers we had: nachos & frickles (which my dad seemed to order at every restaurant we went to and every time they were just as bad and overly salted). We thought we would try something different today. Upon entering the Resturant was told by female sitting at the bar to sit anywhere. After about 10 minutes no one had came to the table with menus or asking for drink order. This was at about 2:45 pm. Needless to say we got up and left. If you want to have some drinks and watch a game, this place isn't bad. If you're there for any other reason, you have better options. Quality of the food continues to drop (frozen burger patties, onion rings full of raw flour, etc). It's not overpriced, but, once again, there are better options for food for a few dollars more in the area. Cool for the college experience but outside of that it's underwhelming. This is a great place to eat at and we love the Service I order from them for my work meetings and the whole staff has all of the orders complete with each persons name on the orders all correctly. Joey even called with a follow up to see if my email order was filled and after I Thanked him for his personal service and attention, I complimented him on his whole staff and team on that day for the GREAT JOB that they did and also advised him that his team went above and BEYOND to assist me! This was my first stop here but my daughter loves it. She apparently always has the jalapeno burger with cream cheese (can't remember the name)... And apparently they offer a few choices of buns (like pretzel) so that's pretty awesome. I had the crawfish po-boy with fried green beans. It was pretty good...nothing outstanding, but definitely not bad. I love that their menu allows you to pick any side without an up-charge...most places only offer fries, where here, they'll let you order one of any side for the same price. Options were plenty, not just the standard fries or tots. And again...loved the pretzel bun option. There are TVs everywhere and each booth is equipped with a TV, so you can change the channel as you please throughout the night. This is a plus!!! But I can only imagine how busy it might get during prime time sports! We started off with the onion rings for appetizers and the thin batter on them made them all the more delicious with the ranch dressing dip. I had the Cali burger with a side of waffle fries. The burger was quite sizable and I ended up cutting it in half to make it easier to eat. Overall, the burger was meaty and had a good flavor, along with the complement of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole & BACON! Now if you know me well, the way to my heart is bacon bacon bacon! The waffle fries were prepared with cajun seasoning, reminiscent of the tasty fries from Popeyes. My friends ordered the sweet potato fries with their burgers and those fries were good as well. Had one of the weirdest experiences eating out. We ordered wings and then a late lunch. The wings came out and they were good. The rest of our food didn't come out for over an hour. A different waitress came out and asked us what we ordered. I was in Monroe on business and was looking for a good place to watch the BCS national championship... the lady at the front desk of the hotel where I was staying recommended the Fieldhouse as a "great college sports bar." So, my co-worker and I drove over to check the place out. The interior was a little smaller and less interesting that I was expecting, but not too bad. The menu features an array of typical bar food, but I have to say, everything was really good. They have a good selection of hamburger quesadillas... very good. We also got some chips and queso and found it surprisingly delicious as well. All in all we had a good time and I will remember this place next time Im in town looking for a good sports bar . The food is a little hit and miss though: the burgers, wings and fried pickles are all pretty good and the salads are HUGE, but I've had some not so good po boys. I stopped into Fieldhouse bar for an after work meeting in town and have to admit, I was a bit skeptical that the food would be anything more than subpar bar food. I later learned I was incorrect. The local decor with the Monroe Warhawks is awesome. The staff is always smiling and the beers are cold. We ordered good mix of items and the food turned out much better than I anticipated.
