Asheville weather is a bit finicky in regards to rain, so we decided to hold our ceremony, reception, and dance floor indoors. The outdoor area has many seating areas or spots for pictures, including a fire pit and a koi fish pond. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue is, one couple even said they may have to book this venue too! The bar was one of the highlights of this venue. Drinks were delicious, and kept flowing. The staff here is absolutely fantastic, Dawnn was our coordinator and she made everything flow so well. Things were set up and packed up behind the scenes. By the end of the night, everything was packed up and ready to be brought to the car.

There was a lot we didn't know, as it was a first time wedding for us with little connections in the area, and we would do a lot of things differently were we to do it again. Initially, we thought there would be a lot more provided than there was at this venue, especially for the one day rental of $10,000+. Things I would keep in mind for this venue (or for any other): Take your time choosing the right wedding venue: It is easy to feel time pressure when it comes to securing a wedding spot or vendor. We found Haiku in early 2024, and loved it. But we hadn't looked at anything else, and felt like we had to make an immediate decision because we wanted an October wedding. I wish I had taken the time to read through the contract before signing and asked more questions. We based our choice on the support we thought we would have. If I had under 50 people, and could have done their elopement package, I would have. They provide more support for that option. We had right around 70 people and it created a lot more work for us. Hire a wedding planner if you don't have family/friend support: I sincerely wish I hired a wedding planner to take care of a lot of the details that I missed and also who could have played intermediary with the venue and vendors. I thought that I would have more guidance that I did from Haiku, and opted to do the planning myself. Most of my stress came from details that would pop up out of nowhere, and having someone else fielding the minutia would have been amazing In retrospect, and well worth the moola. Pay attention to the contract, and get everything in writing: We signed a contract in Feb 2024, for our wedding in Oct 2025. As we started planning our wedding in early 2025, a number of things that we were told initially(not in the contract), were changed when we met up again later. Pricing, rules, etc. For some of it they were able to honor their original pricing, however some of the conditions we were forced to accept. The mixed expectations had us lose trust in our communications with Haiku, and made us realize we would have to be very careful for the rest of the process. Also, throughly read the contract and ask about contingencies. Ex. The contract makes the tents sound optional, and when it came down to it, we had a lot of push back when we thought we wanted to forgo the tents. There were also quite a few seemingly arbitrary rules, which every venue is likely to have, but left us confused and frustrated at times. Communication: I felt like their communication prior to a month before the event was lacking. Do not hesitate to ask them questions, and clarify everything. It would have been helpful to have some guidance to the portal we were given access to, along with dates things were due by....especially since it had many doubles and misnamed folders which made it hard to keep things straight. (Hopefully they have fixed this by the time you read this!) I spent a lot of time going back and forth with emails (Them and other vendors) where questions were missed multiple times. When it came to the actual event, it mostly went off without a hitch. The decor looked lovely, Haiku arranged things we had brought and meshed it with theirs creating a lovely effect. Things will always go wrong... and my issues at the wedding had more to do with the caterer cold food was served, people couldn't find our snack/hot beverages table (no one knew it was there), and missing unused cups/snacks that were not returned. An issue with the DJ being rude. We did have some miscommunication with how we needed to have some of items repacked to us, and had a couple things go missing (Labeling things would have done a world of good, I think) . ;) ) But overall, the guests had a fabulous time, of which I was grateful. -

We hosted our client Christmas event at Weaver House this week, and I seriously cannot say enough…read moregood about this place. It is a beautiful event space, both inside and out. It was a very chilly night so we didn't utilize the outside space, but having seen it in daylight previously, I can say that the gardens are beautiful and picturesque. The inside is warm and inviting and has beautiful use of wood in the structure. The sound system is amazing for background music. The high-top and 8' tables and chairs were nice looking and in great shape, which is very important. The bar area is beautiful and was thoughtfully accented with holiday decorations. First, I would like to say what an amazing, accommodating staff!! Alexandra, the wedding and events director, was so helpful, pleasant, kind, efficient and responsive. She is totally amazing. She was on-site, helping clear dishes and making sure everything went smoothly throughout the entire evening. We typically serve "heavy hor d'oeuvres" in a buffet style, which is what we did for this event. Chef Joey was so easy to work with in setting the menu and was open to suggestions. He and his staff did a phenomenal job on everything from the amazing food to making sure the buffet was nicely arranged and full of food at all times. Let me say again, the food was amazing! The bartender was pleasant, efficient and very nice. The drinks she made were great and my husband said she treated him like a king. We had such great response and reviews from our clients, many who have attended our Christmas events for many years. Those who commented only had nice, complementary things to say about their experience at Weaver House. Highly recommend!!

I've attended 4 events at this space and each one were great experiences. The first was our friends wedding and opening weekend for the venue. The food was top notch, cocktails and bar service rocked! Second was a Chamber of Commerce meet & greet event! Food and drinks were both notch and the zen garden setting made for an impeccable time getting connected with other local businesses. Third was a special brunch event that the staff throw a few times each season to get locals into the space to enjoy. They had a jazz band and Chef Ward puts out beautiful and tasty brunch fare! We reserved a table for 20 as it was our close friends birthday celebration and everyone raved about the experience! Forth was another wedding with the same outstanding hospitality and genuine staff we met on our previous visits. We only knew a handful of others attending but the space made for an excellent backdrop to make new friends and dance the night away!!! Definitely would not recommend... For months my Daughter had…read morewaited for her special day... in the interim she had 5 different coordinators with ALE. All were very nice to speak with, however the final coordinator dropped the ball. It was a horrible day. From the Stylist to the cake, to the bouquet, to the venue. My daughter did not get the cake she asked for, nor the bouquet and it looks like she got married in a warehouse. All was very unprofessional, ... It started with us all at the house waiting for makeup and hair. The stylist went to the wrong address, she was then over a half hour late. My daughter calls and speaks to coordinator#5 who tells her with he rain that there are only 2 umbrellas, we were originally told by coordinator 1# if it rains it will be moved inside... okay problem solved? nope. told by the 5th coordinator they don't open the doors on weekdays... okay so fix it? right? should be simple... but no, my daughter is left in tears, Finally, Terran showed up to assist. Albeit, Terran did a great job on makeup, and my daughters hair looked nice. I did not get what I asked for... its not about me though, so I moved on. ( I hated my hair) Terran then brings us all into the laundry room to get ready, WTF... with all going on, a little hectic, it is her job to pull it together.I said it 3 times why are we in here!?! We then migrate to the family room where the men had to leave and hide in the sunroom adjacent to the family room???? whole thing was a mess. Finally all dressed and ready to go... get to venue, no flowers!!! for some reason the coordinator #4 (((because coordinator #5 did not want to come, she did not want to deal with the F**K up so they sent #4,[who knew nothing about what my daughter and coordinator #5 spoke about] and she wung it!!!))any way... #4 brought them to the house and set them in the room, did not tell anyone, and not one of us would even go in or even walk passed to see. Of course we rented a house based on their recommendations which is 45 min from the venue!!! Why? don't know. Not familiar with Asheville and we trusted they knew what was best. So of course can't run back quickly to get anything forgotten. The venue was awful, tables all pushed to the side, chairs stacked, it felt like a warehouse/storage room. There is so, so much more to this story... Not an ounce of class, and far, far from Luxury. Terran offers $1300 back, out of over $11,500 spent for one of thee worst weddings I have ever been at in my entire life.... and of course it had to be My Baby Girls wedding. I see other reviews and photos and I am dumbfounded. ;( We are going to the news and news paper and we are in contact with a lawyer. I wish I would've gone through them when we had our original wedding...The farm is nestled in the mountains and while accessible from downtown Asheville, it's just far enough away that you feel like you are way out in the country. I requested a "boho/country" style and Celeste came through with vintage decor and gorgeous locally grown flowers. It was truly perfect and I couldn't have planned it better myself. The wife is a liar, and the husband screams and intimidates. Do not stay here as a woman. Do not stay here at all. '

If you hate God or Christians, it's also not the place for you. However, if you like nature, the mountains, picturesque scenes and are looking for peace and quiet then this is your venture. I came here for a lawyer's meditation retreat and the view from my window was amazing. It overlooked the lake and I felt like I was in the movie "Dirty Dancing." I had a private room and the layout was interesting with the sink and mirror outside the bathroom (no TV either) but the closet was huge as was the bed. I'd love to come back with a significant other or to do writing since this feels like a perfect writer's refuge. I also make it through Lookout Trail, which is a challenging route so if you're a smoker, not in the best health, have issues with heights or aren't used to climbing you may want to pick an easier route. However there are trails for all skill levels so there should be something for everyone. I had a bunch of childhood flashbacks to camping trips so you may also like it here if you like camping. The staff I met was great and happy to help with any issues. I've recommended this place to family and considering my family are Christians from NC and my nephew recently graduated from a Christian school there, I'm surprised they'd not heard of this place.

We ended up having 2 options a green and a brown curry which they called build your on rice bowl. They tasted very similar and not what we would want to eat that late in the evening There was also an overly dressed not so fresh salad , bread and the densest red velvet cup cake I have ever tried to eat
