Stopped in with my sister the other night, as she needed some fabric for a quilt back. She found several pieces of fabric. I bought a few pieces from the clearance area. Great deals and high quality fabric. read more

I visited this store just the other day and received very rude service from the assistant manger. First she didn't explain the sale price clearly and I had to ask her to clarify multiple times. She seemed annoyed. Then she was rude when I wanted to add some thread to my total and asked her for a recommendation. She didn't smile the entire time she helped me and when I went with a different thread than she recommended she made a rude comment about how the thread she chose had more on the spool. When she finished cutting my fabric she put it in the bag and tossed it to me across the counter and turned without saying a word. I was shocked to see this behavior from a store manager and will not be returning to this location. It is worth your time to drive to another location as I have never received bad service at any other location than this location. read more

I have had many experiences with Field's in Holland over the last 10 years. I have always been blown away by their selections and willingness to do help-- even doing special orders the rare times they didn't have an item in stock. Last year I had to restructure and alter a couture heirloom wedding gown. They were extraordinarily helpful every step of the way. They are my go to. I stopped at this location the other day and the lady's working were very rude especially the assistant manager. I am younger (25) and when I walked in was looked at like I had lost my mind for coming in. When I was finished I walked up to the counter to have my fabric cut and the lady talked to me like I had never been to a fabric store in my life. I have a small Etsy shop that I am constantly looking for new fabric for. I'm from South Dakota. My sister lives in this area and I've come to visit many times. I'm do quilting, machine embroidery and sew garments as well. I shop at this store every time I'm in the area - three times this week. I've always found them to be very helpful and courteous. I love shopping at this store. I only go there because I love their collection of buttons for my beading jewelry, but the customer service there is terrible. No one ever greets you and if you ask for help, they are just rude. The lady that cashed me out never said thank you and when I said I didn't need a receipt she sighed heavily and said "oh, hm, okay." I'm going to start ordering my buttons online. read more

I recently bought items at fields and realized when I got home I was overchared for the fabric. I called the store about 5 times with no answer and the more I called the madder I got. I left a message to call me back and about 3 hours later a lady called me and when I told her about the mistake she brushed me off with a "well everyone makes mistakes" and never seemed sorry at all. I revisited the store today to get my refund and was greeted very rudely. She credited my card and that was it. I asked for an apology and she said it wasn't her fault and snapped at me very discustedly. I have never been treated as a customer like this before and suggest the store owner have a serious talk to their employees about customer service.
