I just moved to the area and couldn't believe it when we passed a sign for a pick-your-own-flowers place. We have been here one time just to scope it out. When we went there weren't many flowers available and it looked a little sad, but there was a sign in the entrance saying that they had experienced a much higher than normal volume, so this wasn't unexpected. It's the reason I'm still giving them 5-stars because KUDOS for creating such a unique and beautiful experience, built on the honor system. This isn't a corporate-run business, so when I see bad reviews like "they didn't have flowers the day I went" or "I turned my ankle" I'm like...get a grip. They're growing flowers, not manufacturing them in an assembly line. And if you're worried about turning your ankle it sounds like you might be better off at home...or in a bubble. They also have local honey for sale which I have been looking for and was so happy to find! I didn't have $10 on me right then so I'm writing a check and sending it today (their sign says that's fine). I'm excited to go back!

These are the flowers we picked!

Beautiful flowers and the owners were so sweet and cheerful! I am coming back next spring with my whole family!

We loved our time here! A beautiful yard with some gorgeous flowers, we came in October and still found some gorgeous flowers. We chose the "large" bouquet size for $15. Loved how easy it was. It was a unique experience and we can't wait to come back in the spring!!

My visit was a disappointment. There were very few flowers and the owner was rude.

This is not a field. It is someones back yard. So misleading. Went when they opened for the season and there were no flowers.

Last year, my Aunt bought some of the biggest, most gorgeous hanging baskets I'd ever seen and she…read moresaid they were only $20. She said she got them from Ellmore's, but by the time I got there (about a week later) they were all gone. This year I promised myself I wouldn't miss out on them so I went there about 3 pm on the first day they were opened for the season. Well, I'm soooooo glad I did because they only had about 10 left, and I needed 4! I got 2 geraniums $(28/each) and 2 Boston ferns ($25/each), and they are huge and beautiful! They didn't have much variety of other plants for planting in the ground...Marigolds, geraniums, petunias, herbs, a few tomato plants and 3 meadow sage (of which I bought 2)...so that was a little disappointing, but all the plants they did have looked very healthy and hearty. I'll come back in a few weeks to check out what else they've got.

Fantastic little nursery in Hamilton. We've bought our ferns, heirloom tomato plants, and herbs…read morefrom this nursery for the past five or six years. The quality is excellent. Equal to Stadler's, better than Abernathy & Spencer, all at much more reasonable prices. There's even perennials and annuals for your gardening pleasure. If I owned a plant nursery, I'd like to think I would run it the way these folks do this one. Focusing on quality over quantity, friendly service, all in a laid back, backyard kind of feel. Nothing's been over-fertilized to force it to bloom early (a trick used by a lot of nurseries to get you to buy the "pretty flowering plants"). This only results in disappointment when you realize your new plant has spent all of its energy producing flowers and none developing roots. Hint: don't be fooled by that trick. Buy from a reputable nursery, such as Ellmore's, and have better, healthier plants. It's a hidden gem just a bit down the little road beside Lowry's Crab Shack. Make sure you shop here first for your ferns, herbs, vegetable plants, perennials, etc. you won't be disappointed.
