Unfortunately, it is not what they provided. Instead, they destroyed my backyard in such a way that made it impossible for any grass cutting lawn machine to operate that area. They gave many excuses as to why that was but mentioned they were going to return to fix and complete the job. Unfortunately, they kept stringing me along as if they were returning to make this right, but they never did. It was now May 25th, and over 2 months passed since they started the project, yet still I was waiting for them to return to complete it. I then had no choice but to hire another company to come out to repair and complete my backyard in the condition that it should have been. I ended up paying double because of this mess.. I then contacted Kims Landscaping to request a settlement agreement to compensate me for the extra expenses that I lost by paying another company to come out to restore my backyard. They preferred to offer me to come out for the season to do a regular and biweekly cut at no cost as compensation, but even this they did wrong. They left my grass high and all the weeds untouched. On the first cut, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for them to fix it on the next..Unfortunately, they did it again but worse, and I had no choice but to hire other permanent landscapers because apparently Kims Landscaping became a joke. I have plenty of photos to show the work they have done but for some reason I am unable to attach it to this post. They also ran over and destroyed a trampoline I had dismantled in the ground. I was defrauded by another contractor, losing an absurd amount of money and 3 years of access to our yard. Mike jumped in to start work immediately when I finally reached out for help, making my yard safe and enjoyable again. He's still continuing to fix the work the other contractor started, but he's also taken on other projects that are improving our experience of our space. It gives me a lot of hope and has helped me heal in the middle of one of the worst experiences of my life. Mike is always engaged, even when he isn't the one completing a task. He comes around and checked up on work constantly. He's also communicative, honest, and transparent. He genuinely seems to love what he does and does really good work. I've seen the worst of landscapers and contractors -- but Mike is absolutely one of the best. His team is full of great people who are hard workers and do great work too! There's nothing I could say that could ever sum up how much I appreciate Kim's Landscaping. Highly recommend!

Joe dropped his crew off to handle a tricky clear out of a large tree that fell over in my yard…read more His crew did not do the work as Joe laid out. They left several large chunks of trunk (2 1/2 feet by 4' long) and said their saw chain broke but "don't worry they'll be back". They are still there. The biggest. most damaging problem is that instead of removing the fallen tree, they dumped a huge pile of trunk sections down an embankment at the rear of my property, then hid them with leafy branches. Joe took 3 weeks to return my call, and 2 months to come out and look at the problem. When he came out he said he didn't know what to do, but he'd call a guy. He came out with the guy, but they've never been back. He got sick. He got hurt. He was in rehab. Now, Joe does not seem to have a physical address where he can be reached, as my lawyer has tried. His website lists Elkins Park, but that is for a condo, where he has no connection for many years. There are many more reliable tree cutters than Joe Hughes Executive Branch- try someone else.

I hired Colonial to take down 10 trees, grind the stumps and remove the shavings from my half acre…read moreproperty. From the time I hired them until the time they 'actually' did the work was three months. They totally destroyed my property; a complete mudfest! Instead of removing the shavings, they spread them all over my property. It took us months to rake and clean it up. It has been six years since they did the job and my lawn has never been the same. We were missing roof shingles off our shed from fallen tree limbs they cut and never told us. We had a severe leak then a huge mold problem. They also damaged a blue spruce tree and just threw the broken limbs back into the tree; again without saying a word. I had Monster Tree Service out twice before and they did such a wonderful job; you would have never known that they were even there. I'm so sorry I didn't have them do this job as well. There was very little to no communication between myself and Jim Cliggett; horrible! Never answered my phone calls or emails. So totally disgusted with them and would never recommend them.

We went back and forth discussing different paver options, styles, layout ideas, and pricing. After several site visits, we agreed on a final scope and signed agreement. Once the work finally began and the trees/shrubs were already removed, Francisco stopped the project and told me I would now need to pay an additional $1,000 because the patio would require a step. He claimed this made it a "different project." As a homeowner, I relied on the contractor's expertise. I clearly explained what I wanted from the beginning, and Francisco had visited the site multiple times before agreeing to the price. If a step was required, that should have been identified during the estimating and planning process -- not after demolition had already started. When I pushed back, I was told he could simply "put the trees back and refund the money." While I did receive a refund, I was ultimately left with removed landscaping, dead trees sitting in my garden bed, and no patio project completed. The most frustrating part was that everything had already been discussed, measured, signed, and agreed upon beforehand. Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and poorly planned.

Hired to install a new patio that a hottub was going to sit on. John did a horrible job on design…read moreand installation. He tried to "fix" what he did a few times and only made it worse. The patio is sinking, bricks are separating, it has sitting water, areas are crooked and chipped....to name just a few issues. We have had other contractors look at it (without telling them the background with Clean Cut) and all come to the same conclusion...it needs to be ripped out and redone.
