The food was great! However the prices were outrageous. Paid for my grandson's taco salad and my enchilada roja with 2 drinks and one dessert and it cost me over 50$! Pretty sure I paid for my ticket and my daughter's ticket as well and she paid for her own as well and it was 40$ and it was for the Burrito grande and a child size meal with a daiquiri and soft drink and fried ice cream. The carne asada taco meat was flavorful, the wait staff was courteous and quick to help. Going back for the chile verde soon as the salsa verde was not too hot and delicious! It is in a former large brick public/private organization building so there is plenty of seating both in the restaurant side and bar side. This is an ok place to get Mexican food. Parking can be somewhat challenging depending on time of day and what is going on in this small rural college town. The taste is ok but geared more a spiced down version of typical dishes. One experience was very good with well season chicken and salsa; however the last couple of visits have been bland or dry meats in my dishes that have been over cheesed. Margaritas are from premade mixes. The bathroom is also ok. Service is good, but cashing out can take too much time if a group is paying separately. Don't let the outside of this place fool you. From what I was told, it's used to be an old Elk's Lodge, so it doesn't really look like a Mexican restaurant. But once you get inside, things become a bit more familiar. The staff speaks mostly Spanish and is really pretty fast and attentive. It did take a little while to get our drinks, but everything else was quite quick. Speaking of the drinks, we had Margaronas. Holy cow were they huge! The food was good. Portion sizes are big, prices are in the $7-11 range for most dinners. Very reasonable. The first basket of chips and salsa is complimentary, but any additional baskets cost $1 each. The chips are very tasty. This was my first time to Broken Bow, and I was pretty impressed with this place. I wouldn't hesitate to return for another meal. read more

After a long drive, we were looking for comforting food and found this unexpected tasty restaurant. You are greeted with a smile upon arriving. Very quick to get your drinking order. Our waiter Eduardo was great! He took the time to answer our questions. My husband had the beef Chile Colorado plate and I had the chicken soup . We ended up taking some back. Don't let the outside fool you, this is delicious Mexican food and quality service. We had enchiladas and quesadillas mostly and they were excellent. Portion sizes were nice and prices were $7-$10 for most lunch specials and entrees. Salsa was fresh and not spicy. Just flavorful. Only major ding on this place was the bathrooms. They were dingy and poorly equipped. Overall, recommend trying this place out if you are a Mexican food fan or looking for an affordable lunch that isn't a burger and fries. read more

I'm from Southern California, near Los Angeles so I definitely have a plethora of great Mexican food near me. Out here in Nebraska I was nervous about trying a Mexican food but this place was surprisingly tasty! The staff speaks primarily Spanish and the food is very tasty! The margaritas are big and delicious and taste like the ones back home. The Steak Mexicana tastes a little different than in California or Mexico, but it still was very delicious. They had sopapillas which is a very New Mexican dish and while we didn't have any they looked good and it was a surprising dish to see. The margarita was VERY strong and so tasty, and there was free chips with some pretty good salsa I definitely will be back here if I'm ever in Nebraska again! read more

I was staying with a friend at her ranch in Western Nebraska when her family decided to treat me to their favorite Mexican food. We drove into Broken Bow, and despite this being the only Mexican restaurant in town aside from Taco Johns, and having an unassuming exterior, I quickly realized why it's a family favorite. This restaurant reflects the small town atmosphere in its cozy decor and friendly service. The shrimp fajitas were delicious. I shared them with my friend but I probably could have eaten the whole thing if I was really hungry. The margaritas were huge extremely sweet and I can't be positive that there was alcohol in mine. The salsa was fresh, the guacamole was good too. If I'm back in the area I'll be back to La Fiesta Brava. read more

Absolutely delicious Mexican food. I ate here for lunch probably 10-15 times over the month I was working in Broken Bow. This is by far the best quality and best priced restaurant in town. Every meal I had was consistent with quality, temperature and taste. The service is also spot on. I received chips and salsa and a drink within 1-2 mins of sitting down.
