The Doyle - Double R and a beautiful backdrop.

    The Doyle

Attended my nephew's wedding reception last night. Loved the casual industrial farmhouse setting…read moreand vibe. The venue has comfy cozy sofas scattered throughout the outdoor area. Inside, there is plenty of room for a sit-down dinner (or luncheon) and lotsa room to dance. Bathroom was clean. Catered food was delicious too!

I attended my second candlelight event in a week, and it was the most memorable one yet. R&B is my…read morefavorite genre of music, so I enjoyed hearing the quartet play neo-soul classics. "Thinking About You" by Frank Ocean was the highlight because it sounded beautiful with the string arrangement! Sonically, a song can be superior but not translate well when played by the quartet. The only shortcoming of the show is that the quartet didn't play " You Don't Know My Name" by Alicia Keys. They chose to play "Purple Rain" by Prince, and that song sounds better with a guitar. I wanted to hear Alicia, the lady who sat next to me, and another woman taking pictures after the show, mentioned she wanted to hear "You don't know my name" too. They played the audio of " You Don't Know My Name by Alicia Keys after the show, but we wanted to hear it during the show. In my opinion, the Doyle had a romantic and sexy setup that I loved, as they had candies in the hallway, a fireplace outside, and a beautifully set-up candle presentation next to the stage. It was a pleasant sight to see the staff again who worked the event at Industrial. Sharon, the photographer, and I made magic again as I took some dapper photos on the couch. It was a pleasure seeing her again. A woman took pictures of me and said she would put them on the website. However, I haven't seen it if she did. I made some stunning reels that have received a lot of likes and garnered followers from this Candlelight event. I had a ticket in section B, but a pleasant staff member moved me up, which I appreciated. A beautiful lady who also came solo sat next to me, and we chatted while watching the show. After the show, Andrew asked me, "How did I do?" Unbeknownst to me, he sat the beautiful woman next to me and said, "Two beautiful people should not be alone." I told him he did well and definitely sat the right lady friend next to me, which garnered a giggle from the particular woman. My new lady friend took some excellent photos and videos of me, and I took some beautiful pictures of her. A staff member took us to our cars afterward. I can't say enough positive things about the staff and candlelight concerts. I will continue to attend them, especially if they have themes that would resonate with me, such as a Marvin Gaye or Barry White tribute. Barry White's music incorporated a lot of strings, so I know a Barry White tribute would be stupendous!

Place on 7th - Picture of the venue? Kind of.

I guess the Place on 7th is a place that will hold a special memory for me for the rest of my life,…read moresince this is where I got married in October. My (now) wife wanted to get married downtown since it seemed the most fun place to have our friends and family visit (we are locals) and the Place on 7th was the winner of our "look at a bunch of venues, panic, and then pick one" award and I'm glad we went with it. The venue itself is pretty dang massive offering tons of space both inside and out, allowing us to have tables inside for food and our guests to sit and the outside open for the ceremony, dancing, and lounging on the big comfy couches towards the back. Our ceremony was at 6PM and everything that went wrong was NOT the venues fault, so I'm going to give this place a big thumbs up for doing everything they were supposed too do well (I can't say the same for the DJ who was not affiliate with the venue). The venue was spacious and well decorated, the bartenders and staff were quick to clean up, serve food, and were very easy to deal with, and this venue truly made for a perfect night. Overall, Place on 7th was the perfect place for us to get married. I'll be moving away from Las Vegas in the next year, but since downtown is the place to be, I'll be walking by this venue for the rest of my life and remembering the good memories i had inside, so thanks for simply existing guys.

I rarely post a bad review on Yelp. I'm pretty sure 90% or more od my ratings are four or five…read morestars. My office is not too far from The Venue and we wanted a quote from them for an upcoming event. I called several times and also filled out an inquiry on line. The Venue has not responded at all. Not even a simple reply that they are working on my quote. The place looks amazing but the staff is really poor at responding. Their nearby competitor Meet always has someone to answer the phone during business hours. I received my quote from them within a day. I do hope The Venue gets their act together and improvers customer service. It is like they don't want new business and customers are a bother to them. I recommend not wasting your time contacting for a quote.

I'm very upset. My fiancé and I've been looking at the venue for quite a while and I called and got…read moretransferred to Ryan, I never complain but he was not helpful & not welcoming, I called and asked if we could get a tour of the venue for our wedding reception and he was very Blunt (unwelcoming) he advice "so you don't waste my time and I don't waste your time ball room starts at 7500" and I agreed which I thought was kind of rude. Okay so we finally set the appointment for the next day @ 3:30 pm we get there around 3:25 pm and we call Ryan bc he's the only one that can show us around, he tells me that he is running late that he should be arriving in 20 mins , the building was actually open so we walked in thinking he was there we fell in love w the ballroom. And nope he wasn't there no one was there! We tell Ryan that we will be at the container park w our 1 year old. Okay so 20 mins passed and he hasn't called us, we gave him a call and it went to voicemail we left a vm and we walked over there and waited outside the building We called about 4 times spoke to the receptionist and got transferred to a voicemail, okay so then 4:40 pm came no answer no call back, NOTHING. We call one more time and told the receptionist what was going on (she knew we called a couple times bc she was the one transferring us) and she seemed really confused bc this never happened I guess, she had me on hold for about 10 mins and then apologized (she was really nice) she was trying to get a hold of Ryan but no answer she told me she was going to call me today which is a Day after, (7:30pm) but till now I haven't got a call , no message no voicemail from either Ryan or the receptionist. This is very upsetting and super duper unprofessional. We got really discouraged because this is our first choice and first time we look at a venue. If we can get a hold of corporate then that would be nice bc the venue is such a beautiful venue.
