With dim lits, a purple hue, fancy tables and a beautiful bar you feel a little fancy. We were the for the Docksiders Yacht Rock show. My definition of Yaht rock and theirs differs but that is not the venues issue. It was clean and quaint. We received a free drink with our ticket entry. The newest location of the Prohibition Bar was very nice inside! I LOVED the decor, and the secluded room if you don't care to watch the band and dancer. That being said, if you do go to watch the show, check the site lines! We were seated way in the back by the restroom, and could only see the dancer before she went through the curtains. After that, we had no idea what was happening. As for the cover band, the were really good, but it's definitely a different vibe compared to the piano player and amazing singer (who is also a waitress at the bar) at the original location in Mandalay Bay. They (at the new location) asked if anyone liked country music, and proceeded to play five or six country songs in a row! I thought this place was supposed to have NOLA music? Other than that, the place was great! The hostess and waitresses were very friendly and attentive, and the drinks were great as usual. This one is in the Venetian Hotel. One of two ...the other is in Mandalay Bay. The difference is this one has live music. The pianist, the singer and the burlesque show girl were awesome. The drinks and overall ambiance were great. The music was far from the roaring 20's but was very lively and took you back a few years. The waitresses and bartender were also top notch. There's the main speakeasy that's very lively and loud. Then there's the voodoo underground area that's more intimate. Both are great, just matter of preference. They were super busy so there was a bit of a wait for someone to take our order and to get our drinks. The wait was however worth it. So good, and to my surprise, both drinks were not watered down at all. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to, even asking about my day. One of of many cool speakeasy's in Vegas but this one is very easy to find. It's located between Mandalay Bay and Luxor. If you go up the escalator from MB it's on your right. Open late not all day but super cool indoor space. It's a lot larger inside and has all the speakeasy feels low light, all things prohibition and old lol. I love a good speakeasy! Now, to be fair, there are a lot of signs to help you find this one, which makes it less of an adventure, but, the Grand Canal Shoppes are so big and meandering, that it's definitely helpful. I also appreciate the responsiveness of whoever runs the email account. They normally aren't opened Mon-Wed, but NYE was on a Wednesday and I was hoping they might be open for us to pop in before our NYE events later and, yay!, they were! The place is quite large with a lot of open space that perhaps gets used better for some of the non-musical live shows they have. We enjoyed lounging on a couch and enjoyed a few drinks while soaking up the fun atmosphere and enjoying a little bit of the live music they had before we needed to go. I enjoyed the Pineapple Chipotle Mule with mezcal and the Chocolate Martini (though it was a bit too sweet for my tastes). Being a raging carnivore, Jim G. also had to try some of their Torched Maple Bacon ($24). It was a cute presentation and very tasty, though a tad bit on the pricey side; it's Vegas, I guess. I saw this little speakeasy on TikTok and thought it looked so cool, so my guy and I had to check it out. Luckily, we got out of our show early enough and were close enough to walk there. Unfortunately, we got lost... twice! But we eventually found it thanks to a small sign that pointed us in the right direction. We took the elevator down and were greeted by this awesome portrait style door of a beautiful flapper lady, which immediately set the mood. Inside, the decor was amazing and totally on theme! The whole place really was an absolute vibe. Since we got lost so many times, we ended up arriving only about 20 minutes before closing, but the staff was still super friendly and made our drinks without hesitation. We ordered our favorite drink, old fashioneds, and they did not disappoint! Perfectly made. There was even a musician wrapping up his set when we sat down, so we got to catch the tail end of his performance, and he was pretty good. I do wish we'd had more time to enjoy the place, but I'm just glad we finally found it and got to experience it, even though it was pretty brief. I nearly fell out of my seat when I found out this was an actual thing in Vegas and it was perfect because I was there for a week and this was a last-minute decision. I have been obsessed, listening to yacht rock at work and when I found out there was a show, I quickly signed up for it, and it was the best thing I did . It was actually in the 1923 prohibition bar, which is a speakeasy and have been wanting to check it out. I definitely want to go to the show again and also check out the other events going on. They even gave us yacht hats while enjoying the show. This was amazing and I would highly recommend it. The set list was awesome. Just wish there was more in the 80s versus the 70s but they say that they changed the set list with a few adjustments. They also had a long intro and wish they started it earlier maybe 30 minutes before the actual live band comes on. read more

We have visited the other location at the Mandalay Bay and got the opporunity to visit this location at the Venitian while waiting for the Legerdemain magic show held inside a separate private room (see separate review for this show). Overall, this bar has a great inside decor and atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. After 10pm they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights (Nola Nighs), and earlier in the evening, depending on the day of the week, you can get tickets to attend the Legerdeman magic show and/or The Docksiders yacht rock music (we were amazed at how many people were waiting for this show to begin when we exited the Legerdeman show). Overall, we had a great experience and plan on returnign to see The Docksiders show which we saw at a different venue a few years ago and it was very fun and entertaining. read more

This bar is one of those spots that makes you feel like you've stumbled onto a secret. The entrance itself is such a cute touch--hidden away inside the Grand Canal Shoppes, it really gives that classic speakeasy thrill. I went on a Saturday evening with a girlfriend, excited to settle in at the bar and soak up the atmosphere. When we walked in, we were told the main area was closed for a special event. While I completely understand venues needing to host private parties, it was a little disappointing since the main lounge is such a big part of the experience and we were there specifically for that. Instead, we were guided into a smaller side room (I think it's called the Voodoo room) that also doubles as a space for magic shows. The room itself was dimly lit and quirky--decorated with some unique touches like a mermaid skeleton that definitely stood out. It had character, but it didn't quite carry the same energy I was hoping for from the main space. I think it would be helpful if the staff let guests know ahead of time (for example online) when the main lounge won't be available, so first-timers don't feel like they've missed out. Once seated, we had to wait quite a while before seeing a cocktail server--at one point we almost got up to leave and try another bar. To be fair, there was only one server working the whole room, and once she made it to our table she was kind and attentive. Still, for a Saturday night, a little extra staffing would go a long way in making sure guests aren't left waiting. The highlight of the evening was definitely the drinks. I ordered the La La Land (Skyy Strawberry Vodka, Amaretto, Pineapple Juice, Fresh Lime, and Passion Fruit Syrup). It was delicious--light, balanced, fruity, and not overly sweet. You could hardly taste the alcohol, which made it smooth and easy to sip. My friend loved hers too, and the menu overall looked creative and fun. In the end, while this visit didn't give me the full 1923 experience I was hoping for, I still left impressed by the concept and the cocktails. The side room was a nice fallback option, but next time I'd love to enjoy the main bar area, which I hear really makes the atmosphere come alive. With a bit more staffing during peak times and clearer communication about private events, this place has the potential to be an absolute standout on the Strip. I will definitely go back to try the main event experience :) read more

DRINKS: the CAMPFIRE OLD FASHION was one of the BEST versions of an old fashion I've had anywhere! & I've had a lot! It was just a simple unique twist with a perfectly toasted marshmallow to get that bold & sweet taste together. Highly recommend! I also got their ESPRESSO MARTINI which was amazing. I'd love to come back to try their other cocktails, this place really impressed me with their handcrafted drinks. SERVICE: Honestly, we came at a weird time, kind of early so it was very empty, but the service wasn't great. There was barely anyone working because it wasn't busy and the one server who was working kept ignoring our table or not even looking in our direction so it was hard to flag her for attention to order drinks & then she'd disappear forever. This is a cool place. You have to find the secret entrance which over looks The Canals at the Venetian . The atmosphere is laid back with a dark red atmosphere resembling a speakeasy from back in the day. The laid back atmosphere is a nice change of pace for the Vegas party scene. The bar opens at 4pm and when I was here it was a light crowd. I felt like the dark atmosphere led to a more romantic mood setting. It's a great place to visit and the servers were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my visit and I would come back again. I did not have any food on this visit. They have a small appetizer menu with only a couple items. You're not coming here for food. You're coming here for the experience and the atmosphere. read more
