I dislike giving so few stars but this place was mediocre tonight. One waitress on her own for most of the time we were there. She was nice but slow. The selection on the menu seemed good but I was not super hungry so I ordered one cheese enchilada and one bean tostada. My brother loved the camarones el Diablo. Our uncle got a chimichanga and white queso sauce. He asked for a side of rice and beans but it didn't come out with his meal. He had to ask for them a second time and the waitress got them later. Queso was good (I tried a little). Brother gave me two pieces of shrimp and they were spicy and good. Unfortunately my meal came out much later than everyone else's and both items were freezing cold. I couldn't be bothered to send them back caus the service was so slow. I asked for a pinio Grigio and they had only enough for one small glass. It was not that busy there so we were not very impressed with the overall experience. read more

Fiesta Fiesta..... nice authentic Mexican food. Located downtown in Ottawa. Amazing food and prices are reasonable with a nice portion of food. Carlos are waiter was very attentive and kept stopping by to check on us and refill our glasses with water. Complimentary salsa and chips. The salsa was ok not homemade and it seem like it was something poured out of a can. The chips were fresh and warm. An Authentic blend of Jalapeños, Onions and Tomatoes in the fluffiest eggs I've ever eaten. I like to venture to house specialties so we shared the eggs and I ordered the Parrillada Fiesta Para Dos. This was a combination of the most tender and flavorful selection of Steak, chicken, chorizo, grilled onions and jalapenos... I love grilled jalapeños! Presented on a flaming habachi .. A fun dish to share. We stopped for an early lunch so we did not have cocktails .. However bar was nice and clean and if cocktails are as good as the food this place is fantastico! Fiesta MX was amazing! I came here with my Yelp BFF Maronda on a girls' weekend getaway. Our waiter Carlos was extremely attentive and automatically came back with water refills every time he checked up on us. In addition, he explained some of the dishes we had questions on and substituted my friend's beans and rice for all rice with no problems. He also automatically brought out more complimentary chips and salsa, cuz your girl can eat. One star off because I'm pretty sure they use Tostitos jarred stuff which might be a crime in any authentic Mexican place. Maronda had the taco dinner which was three very generous tacos. I had the carne a la tampiquena, which was a GIANT plate with a LARGE piece of tender marinated skirt steak (cooked medium well which is their recommendation and mine as well -- Mexican steak is not meant to be rare). In addition, there were delicious fried potato rounds, guacamole, a jalapeno, beans, and rice. Yum. The price was right too - $14 for my plate and $10 for the taco plate. I went to Fiesta MX during a labor day weekend get away and thought it was fantastic! The server was extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered the Parrillada Fiesta for two. Everything about this place was below mediocre. The service was just ok. I had the chicken mole enchiladas that were not great. The retried beans were not warm and seemed they had been scooped out of a can. My margarita tasted like a pre made mix from Walmart. Would not recommend this place. read more

This place has some really good food selections and haven't had a bad meal ever!! The have some awesome Spanish sangria and some great margaritas. Be prepared to down them like koolaid and worry about stumbling out! But sooo worth it! Stopped by on a cross country trip. Was going to stop by another place for tacos but they were closed and this was the closest to there and let me tell you. I am glad that the other place was closed! This place is very reasonably priced, we got tacos and they were jammed packed full of meat with the toppings falling out of the tortillas, so you definitely get what you pay for and more. The rice is wonderful, and the beans are flavorful. Definitely recommend this spot, especially if you're hungry. The staff were also very friendly. read more

Had lunch here a couple of days ago. The torta, I went with the pork filling, was excellent. Generous size, fresh bun, very flavorful. Chips and salsa were very good. Avocado on the sandwich. Nice people, good service but neither of us cared for what we had. My chicken tacos were so bland that there was actually no flavor. I had to keep adding hot sauce as the chicken tasted boiled with no spices. Hubby had a beef tostada and said no flavor either. Rice was starchy and tacky and beans were okay. It's safe to say that when you go to a restaurant at supper time. And only 1 or 2 people are in there it is a lousy place to go. Very uncomfortable booth seats. Table way to low. Food is only so so at best. Margaritas have hardly any flavor and no alcohol. Chilies relleno are puny and i could not believe the cheese they use. Not Mexican for sure. I swear it was mozzarella and i had to chew the heck out of it to get it to go down. Like chewing on a wad of bubblegum. You had to take a drink to force it down. My wife had steak fajita, 85 percent nothing but big gigantic pieces of onions, 2 piece of Tomato, very few pieces of very small sliced steak. And maybe 7 piece of green peppers,I see why this joke of a Mexican Restaurant has 1 yes 1 slow pokey table waiter. It really makes me mad when you ask your waiter a question about the food you are eating and they look at you like they are clueless or all of a sudden don't no English. And my bill was outrageous for the crap they claim is Mexican food. Mexican wannabe Restaurant is all this hole is. Nothing more. The four or five things we've tried here have been delicious. The servers and kitchen staff are fantastic and the owner seems to stay out of their way because they know what they're doing. Bigger inside than it looks from the street. There are no beers on tap if that makes a difference. Chairs and barstools are much more comfortable than the last couple of places we've tried. I had to leave this review. Never did but I had to for the good food and service! This restaurant is the BEST. I live an hour and half but I would come over to eat the this restaurant once a week. Their fajitas are flawless, especially the chicken fajitas. I never preferred chicken to beef, but now I do at least in this restaurant. The onions and peppers are cook so deliciously. They grill every food so good. Everything is just great enough. One of their beef skirt steak left me speechless... never had that quality before. Just so go ooooooooo! As soon as we sat down I knew I wasn't going to like this place very much. The salsa had huge chucks of tomatoes and onions and the chips were just okay. The wait for the food was around 25 minutes. The enchiladas we ordered were almost gross it was barely warm and the sauce tasted like they had just poured it out of a can onto the plate. The enchiladas tasted mainly like tortillas. Stopped in on Mothers Day hoping for take out, the staff was very accommodating. Wished we could have stayed because the inside is very inviting. Our waiter made sure that everything was great and even replaced my margarita without me asking because he saw that it was too watery and knew it didn't have enough flavor.
