Upon entering the park, I was told I would have to pay $20 to retrieve my broken boat. I couldn't believe it. I've had to be towed to a launch ramp one time in the past. The compassionate employees at Topock 66 understood my dilemma and let me quickly recover my boat with no charge. I guess they figured I'd already had a bad enough day. No such luck at Needles Marina. So much for common decency. The $20 they made on me that day has lost them the hundreds of dollars I spend there on my two annual trips. Unconscionable.

The park is quiet enough (though the neighbors heater roared all night) and easy to navigate. The pull-through sites were long enough (62 ft) and with full hook-ups. There was no one at the office. Two women came up on a golf cart-neither wearing masks. I expected them to put one on when they walked inside but they didn't. We gave our information quickly, signed and got out as fast as possible. I don't get how someone who is in contact with many customers would not care about their health and safety-or even state law. I cannot recommend and would not go back to the park.

If you're unfamiliar with London Bridge (peep my review for it) it's an iconic landmark in Havasu which is built from materials from World War ll. It's got amazing English architecture and is completely walkable. London Bridge Jet Boat Tours picks up folks from the Edgewater and Harrah's casinos (which have their own docks) respectively and takes them down to Arizona. It's about 2 hours to get to Havasu, another 2 hours to enjoy and tour London Bridge, and one last pair of hours for the boat ride back to Laughlin. The tour is about $98 per person. It's got great views of the Colorado River and is described as follows "Your 58-mile journey from Laughlin to Lake Havasu includes a guided experience through the scenic Topock Gorge, known for volcanic rock formations, desert wildlife, and Native American petroglyphs. You'll dock at the historic London Bridge for a 2-hour stop to explore shops and restaurants". We hit up all of these spots while on the tour and I was in awe! The tour company's staff were wonderful, the ticket representative at the ticket shack was friendly and super positive! Our tour guide Tye was surprisingly super hot and a great captain. I felt safe and learned quite a bit about my new surroundings.

i've seen this airport for years already and finally decided to try it. it's an air park so there's…read morenot a lot going on there ( i like that). it's easy to get in and out.. the runway is a little rugged but it's nothing to worry about. the paved ramp area is a little cramped but they have additional parking on the dirt. the people at sheble aviation were very nice and let me use the airport car for free. i'm not sure if they have rental cars. as of october 2010 the fuel is $4.60. landmark at kifp is $4.95. not a bad alternative to bullhead. (no offense to my friends at landmark)!!
