Mike is working wonders. Beautiful landscape, Sunsets. Can tent camp, RV park, Pool,shower,laundry,bathroom. Peaceful relaxing atmosphere, exactly what I needed. To escape the action, lights, cement City of Las Vegas. Think I needed another week. Lol Camp fires, pool to cool off from the heat. Fencing around resort keeps out riff raff. Town is great place for thrifty shoppers, too many to choose from. Always great meeting new friends even running into old friends. This place is an exceptional Gemstone on the river. This is a rare find. Owner n Staff very assist friendly. The pool area on the CO River is very nice - love it! Free laundry and an ice machine was appreciated. Our space was very shaded and well kept. I will be back here - I recommend this place! read more

HIDDEN JEM!! a group of 4 of us stayed for the weekend. We brought our jet-skis and had the beach to ourselves. The owner had a fire pit set up so we could roast marshmallows and chat around the fire.... The environment is euphoric.... We rather stay here compared to the smoke filled casinos. My wife and I decided to take a 5 day road-trip to the Laughlin area We are are not into casinos but wanted to be by the Colorado river in our 5th wheel, mid May 2023.... When I checked out every campsite in the area, nothing there really enticed us Then we found "The Iguana resort" on the internet and gotta say that it looked pretty good. Tried to make a booking through the website and found nothing was available. Decided to give them a call and left a message. In the morning got a call from Mike, the owner who said he might have a spot available as one of their regulars was leaving for a week. He came back that afternoon and said he had a spot available, so we booked it. Had a little difficulty finding the site, called Mike and he gave us directions and he met us at the gate with what I can only describe as a very friendly greeting. Its a small site and my 5th wheel reversing skills are not the best..... Mike called over one of his buddies who expertly parked my 5th wheel for me... Now that was what I called service..... When I looked around the site I was amazed to see all the palm trees and other colorful trees and plants Next I checked out the pool that had a spa and what I call a shamu shelf that run the length of the pool with about a 6 inch depth of water, so you could park your lounger on it and look out over the river. The rest of this really good sized pool was shallow, but deep enough to swim in Now onto the bathroom, which was one large room with a large walk-in shower 2 toilet bowls 2 toilet and 2 sinks. It was spotless each time I used the bathroom and took a shower Next to this was the laundry room with a couple of washers and driers also a big ol' ice maker Directly opposite our site was a small putting gree. Not for the serious golfer, but nice anyway ....... Take a 5 minute walk down a tree lined path and that will take you into a small lagoon and the river Every other camper that I spoke to had nothing but good things to say about Mike, his trusted helper Billy and the resort that he has built. I strongly recommend that if you are looking for a really nice campsite in the Bullhead City to stay in then you HAVE TO check this place out. Had the best stay ever. Such a beautiful tropical resort. This was our first time staying and Dennis and his crew was able to get us in. The onsite Host Chris and his lovely wife Sue well really everyone in the community was so friendly and made pool time so fun. It was worth the wait because they are almost always full. DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS HERE! WOULD NOT ISSUE REFUND A FULL WEEK IN ADVANCE DESPITE NO PRIOR ADVISEMENT OF RESTRICTIVE POLICY. I can't attest to the actual campground location because I never went. My comments relate to the business practices and ethics. I am posting this as a warning to those who may be considering making a reservation. In April, we made a reservation for a two night stay in mid October. We were travelling all summer by RV and wanted to have everything in order before leaving. I used an internet search to locate Iguana Bay. From the website, the location looked acceptable. At the time, there was no way to book online so I called and talked to Michael and made the reservation. He told me to send the money by PayPal. That seemed a little odd based on experience we had with numerous other locations but I did it. I wasn't sent any sort of receipt or confirmation email. A week before our reservation, we determined we were not going to be able to take our RV and needed to change plans to a hotel. We also had reservations at an RV site few days prior in Vegas. The Vegas site cancelled, no problem, with a $25 dollar fee, as was outlined in the confirmation email. When I called Iguana Bay, a full week before our reservation, Michael answered the phone. I explained that we needed to cancel. He said "ok" and then told me he did not have his books in front of him and asked if I would send him the dates, amount I paid and my name. As I had never recieved anything from him, I took a screen shot of the PayPal transaction for $227. Later that night, he emailed me stating there was a no refund policy. We exchanged multiple emails after with me asking for the documentation where I was advised of this. Michael told me "it was on the website" although they do not make online bookings. I appealled to Michael's sense of fairness and asked him to do the right thing. He became argumentative and unreasonable in his emails. He also stated his cancellation policy was in the Air BnB documentation on his site. Again, I told him, I was unable to book online from his site and did not use Air BnB. He agreed, acknowledging he takes his reservations on the phone because he likes to talk to people. Finally, I went to his site to see what the policy states in the event you are fortunate enough to stumble across it scouring the website. I did find a reference to the policy in the Air BnB section. There was a button to click to go to the policy. However, when I did, an empty box popped up. I emailed Michael and told him that even when I purposefully searched for the policy, I couldn't find it. I took a screenshot of the blank box and asked if he saw something else on the site. I never heard back. I had traveled by RV all summer staying at at least 20 different places. I learned, on the road, things change. All of the places I stayed we flexible and accommodating. Most had small cancellation fees or no refunds within 48 hours. To not honor a refund a full week in advance for the full amount when you did not advise of such is really bad business and the sign of questionable business practices. What a great place for a long or short stay. I stayed here for two months during the pandemic. We were in our own little world. Right on the Colorado River with a beautiful pool. Only 18 RV spaces (no tents). Very classy! Facilities are well taken care of. The ambience is like being on a tropical island. The pool is surrounded by a sandy area with fire pits. Whole area is gated and each spot is very private. Nice bathroom. Great people and very helpful and friendly. Loved it and will be back! read more

My family and I stayed at the Iguana Bay resort for two weeks while we waited for our house to be ready. It was so beautiful! Our little patio area was so tropical and was especially beautiful at night with all the little lights. It felt like a 5 star resort! The laundry facility was clean and perfectly maintained and the showers were GORGEOUS!! These aren't your average campground showers! These are worthy of a million dollar home or a hotel suite! As if that wasn't enough, there was a putting green, a spectacular pool with a view of the river, and a walking path down to the river. This entire path is lit up at night so you can enjoy all the gorgeous landscaping and the veterans memorial at the end. There are benches if you just want to relax and look at the river or you can go down to the beach to fish or get your feet wet. It unlike anywhere we've ever been before!! We only live about a mile away but we definitely will go camp there when we need a little getaway. Mike has a clear vision of paradise and he's making it real at Iguana Bay! Super nice owner! Mike and his crew couldn't have been kinder. We felt very special, like family. We appreciate that and had an unforgettable vacation! read more
