We've been coming to Fiesta Veracruz since we parked our camper at Pine Cove campground in 2024. We literally come every weekend during camping season. The service is always outstanding. You will have the freshest chips and yummy salsa on your table seconds after being seated. The guacamole is always fresh and delicious and everything entree we've tried has been fantastic. We especially love El Tapatio and often order that. Grilled chicken with chorizo sausage and cheese sauce - SO yummy! Our favorite thing is probably the frozen margaritas. The best we've had anywhere, by far. Excellent flavor and the perfect amount of alcohol. It's a big restaurant with a lot of seating, so even when it looks crowded (we've had to park a street away sometimes), the wait is never long. The decor is well done on the inside, but we especially love the patio which is enclosed from all sides. We absolutely love Fiesta Veracruz and can't wait to go back every week. Ole! read more

I was in Wilmington for a tour at the college and only had one day to explore. After our performance, we needed a place to eat after 9 PM, and Fiesta Veracruz was recommended by some of the students. The interior really lived up to the name--it was festive with lots of blue and brown tones, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The space was much larger than I expected, divided into three main areas. I was with a group of eight, and we had no trouble getting seated. Keep in mind, their kitchen stops serving the main menu after 10 PM, so plan accordingly. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered tostadas from the menu. While it said they only came with ground beef, the waitress happily substituted steak for one of them at my request. I was curious about the ground beef, so I ended up getting one steak and one ground beef tostada, along with a side of fries and a strawberry kiwi margarita to drink. Before I get into the details, I'll mention that I'm from Chicago, where there's no shortage of excellent Mexican cuisine, so I might be a little biased. That said, the steak tostada was good, though I felt the shell could've been a bit thicker to better support the toppings. The fries were standard, and the margarita was delicious. If you're choosing between the steak and ground beef, I'd recommend the steak--it had better flavor in my opinion. Overall, I understand why Fiesta Veracruz is popular. It's probably one of the tastier spots in the area. If you're looking for some decent food in Wilmington, it's not a bad choice. For the area and a first-time experience, I'd give Fiesta Veracruz a 3 out of 5. read more

Another great visit! We came for an early dinner on a Saturday night and were not disappointed. My pollo jarocho was amazing, and I had to take home leftovers cause there was so much food! My boyfriend loved the el tapitio, and it definitely filled him up. We also got 22 oz strawberry margaritas for $8, and they were pretty good too! Traveling through and Celebrated our wedding anniversary of "Cinco de Mayo" Was hoping they had something special going on. I was disappointed, the only sign of it was on a t-shirt of the guy bussing tables. Place was relatively clean if understaffed. My fajita meal, came on two plates. One contained the rice, beans, pick de gallo and lettuce/sour cream either the fajita rolled in foil on the side. The other was a cast iron skillet that kept the meat/vegetables hot, However, by the second fajita the meat was over cooked and chewy. We're back for the SOQHA Madness horse show. This place for Mexican food is around average. The prices are relatively modest and not expensive. Nothing great on the house Margarita's side. They're too sweet for my tastes, and they automatically brought me the largest one! Assumptions, I suppose. One night I had these 3 "street tacos" for 11 or 12 bucks. I had to ask for flour tortillas. Whatever does this mean? Anyway, the service is generally ok and fairly attentive. I would say 3 1/2 stars for the food, same stars for the service. However, you usually have to ask or track down your server if you want something as simple as a glass of ice water. Parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. One-way street entry off of Locust westbound. It's a reasonable choice if you're visiting the area. read more

Not a bad establishment for a small Ohio town such as Wilmington. The prices were fair and the food was good. Not over the top like OH DAMN good but more like "okay I see you" good. A few things I found odd here were: 1. We asked for queso and the waiter seemed hella confused. He says "you mean cheese dip? We only have cheese dip" Okay, this is a Mexican restaurant. Shouldn't you know what con queso is? Alright then I'll take the "cheese dip" 2. I didn't see a kids menu and asked a waitress if they had a kids menu. She looks at me and after 15 seconds of awkward silence yes "uhh yes" and walks off. I assumed she was getting the kids menu but she never returned. I then found the kids menu section in their regular menu when I realized she wasn't returning. That was just kinda weird. Most recent visit, mid January 2023, and the ice cold modelo beer was easily the best part of the meal. The carne asada looked like shoe leather. Not bad tasting, just no flavor. The waitress was unsmiling and went to another room to have her own dinner. I had to track her down to pay the bill. Overall, I will not be back.
