I just came in today for a root canal. I've been struggling with my gums darkening from the previous root canal I did 3 years ago. It was one of my huge insecurities. I went to my dentist for a teeth cleaning. All went well, except I was having pressure when I ate food on the right side. My dentist took a better X-Ray and saw I had an abscess at the root of one of my molars. So he referred me to Fife Endodontics. I called to make an appointment and Lauren answered the phone. What a pleasant personality. She made me feel very special. She sent me the info to fill out and later got back to me with my insurance info. So I came in today for a consultation and what a beautiful office, so clean and welcoming. I found out that Dr. Packer would be in today. He examined my X-Rays and told me I have a very bad abscess and gave me two options. One would be to do a root canal and the other to pull the tooth and eventually have an implant. I asked Dr. Parker which would he do and he said the root canal. I decided to do the root canal. I have had root canals before, but WOW! Things have progressed since my last one about 46 years ago. This one was totally painless after they numbed my gums. But even the shot didn't hurt. Totally painless and 4 hours later my numbness wore off and I don't have any pain in my mouth or tooth at all. Dr. Packer was so pleasant and nice and so gentle. I am so impressed by how easy a root canal can be now. I was worried when I first heard I needed one, but after getting one at Fife Endodontics, it was a piece of cake! I am so glad my dentist referred this place for me. I can't say enough good things about FIFE Endodontics. If you need a root canal, this is your place. When I came here, I had a horrible experience from a prior dentist and kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with an area where I was feeling pain. I went back to my old dentist, and they indeed said yes, you need a root canal and they referred me to Dr Fife's office. When I called, I spoke with Jennica and she was supportive and helped me get an appointment scheduled right away. She discussed billing and options, depending on what would be done so there were no surprises when I came in that day. In fact, the entire procedure ended up costing a lot less than we had expected- that's always a bonus. I wish Dr Fife did everything else, because he is the most calming presence I've ever felt in a dental office. Usually I'm squeezing my hands or a bottle while I'm being worked on or sitting in a chair. I was so relaxed I almost thought I was going to fall asleep while he was doing his work on my root canal. Just look at all the other reviews, those are the ones I read before calling to make sure this was a safe space for me. It is a very safe space and while I wouldn't wish to have another root canal, I'm so relieved that I found my root canal place. Dr Fife and his team are amazing. If you have dental anxiety like I do trust me you won't have it here. Also, another thing I really liked about Dr Fife is he explains everything very carefully and well if you don't understand he'll expand. He really loves to educate his patients and he loves what he does, it shows. Also, he does use laser and most of his work, and you can tell he's very skilled. Dr. Fife is by far the best endodontist!!! I have been in pain for days! in the area of where a previous root canal was done. ( by a different dr 2 yrs ago. not only did Dr. Fifes team get me in asap, Dr. Fife stayed past his normal hours to treat the tooth because I was in so much pain. His bedside manners are very good. He is very thorough and patient. Didn't hurt when he was numbing me or during the procedure. i was surprisingly at peace. He has a calming voice which helps. the staff is welcoming and helpful. I don't often write reviews, but this office is exceptional. The best medical professional I have ever seen. Dr. Fife will tell you the truth, he won't try to upsell you and attempts to be as conservative as he can be when it comes to procedures. I have been to many dentists and have had many terrible experiences. I will never go to another endodontist. Dr. Fife has a very swanky office, my first thought was, "oh no is this because he upsells, charges high, and recommends unnecessary treatments?" Quite the opposite, he is so obviously skilled and really seems to care about people. He can get done with simpler less invasive procedures what would take others much more invasive and costly procedures. Over the course of three months I went to three different endodontists due to recurring pain I had following a root canal. All three completely missed the root cause of the problem, and were dismissive of my pain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank goodness I found Dr. Fife, he actually listened, and did a very thorough examination[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], plus he has comprehensive imaging systems that provide a full 3-D view of what is going on inside of your teeth and jaws, while many dentists and other endodontists rely on prinative 2-D X-Ray imaging systems, which do not provide a fraction of visibility into your dental health . Within a short visit Dr. Fife found that the previous endobtists had completely missed the source of my pain, and Dr. Fife was able to redo the root canal, and more importantly he didn't just rush to do the root canal, replace the crown and send me on my way, he actually did a deep antibiotic treatment, and put a temporary seal for one week so that the antibiotic could thoroughly do its job, before having me come back for the final crown, all of which was done to the highest standard, and with minimal pain. My Dentist, Dr. Pak referred me to Fife Endodontics for some crown work. I spoke to Lauren on the phone who booked an appointment for me right away. She was friendly and professional. Before my appointment, Claudia confirmed my insurance which was so refreshing ( no surprises). When I arrived, I was so impressed with the ambience, yup for dental work it truly makes you feel comfortable right away. I was met by Arlette, who is also extremely professional and walked me through the process after taking x-rays. Dr. Fife reviewed the 3-D xrays and confirmed that I had an infection in my roots under my crown. He gave me 2 options. I ended up having him drill through the crown and treat the infection. I did not have to get implants and he was able to save me time, money and pain (minimally invasive). Dr. Fife, made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. Dr. Fife was very professional. This was my second root canal that I've had and my experience with Dr. Fife was great as he walks you through the process as he's working on you. I had some irritation (no fault to Dr. Fife) that was pretty painful during the procedure and Dr. Fife worked swiftly to ease the pain and make me as comfortable as possible.
