Maddie was a great bartender! We came by for a drink and were very impressed by the cleanliness and kind service. The drinks were also super tasty. Can't wait to come back to try their food. The menu looks to have lots of options.

The pizza had tons of flavor, and the wings were super flavorful too. The sliders were a little on the dry side, but still good. Fries were definitely on point. Service was great, and our bartender Kat was absolutely awesome!! It was pretty busy, but the environment was fun with lots to do. We don't have kids, but if we did, this would be a spot we'd come to all the time. Overall, a really fun place!

Ate at the bar at The Grove. Great experience with helpful servers. Loved the sangria and fried pickles (both 10/10). Pizza had some weird spice on it but was good. Avocado tacos needed more seasoning and had a chewy shell. Great street corn. Ambiance very nice. Will definitely return with the family.

I was then called A WEEK before the party to be told that they double booked and I was not going to be able to have her party at the time and date previously arranged. I am also 36 weeks pregnant and do not have time to push her party back or go any other day as the invitations had already been sent out. 1 week from the party and the imbecile who took down the reservation calls me to ask if I am on the way? He didn't even book our party on the correct day nor inform me of a contract that would be sent later. He stated that he was fairly new to the position and made a mistake. A mistake that I will have to suffer from. Needless to say the owner and Shane were not able to give us the date and time we agreed on, even though I was told I was the first one to book that day and that time. I requested my money back and will never return to Tiny Adventures again. Book with caution and if Shane is at all involved make sure you speak with the owner as well as he is obviously incompetent at his job.

Secondly and most concerning, the Play area we were in was filthy. Partially eaten sucker was stuck on the carpet (where baby/toddlers crawl). Next to that by the green air toy was a juice pack that had been knocked over and leaked onto carpet. Then there was half eaten candies, cookies, jelly beans, etc. everywhere, not to mention the tables were left dirty. But to top it off, was the dirty diaper left in the play area. The desk girl was sitting behind the entry desk on her phone the majority of the time i was there. Why doesn't clean that place...it was disgusting. I am going to find another place to take my grandkids.

The water was clear enough to see our feet (definitely not Galveston!), and the shallow area stretched far out, making it ideal for kids to splash and play safely in knee-deep water. We loved having a palapa for shade--it kept us cool all day. We brought our own chairs, which worked out great. Another big plus: parking was just steps from the sand, so there was no long trek with gear. Lots of swim area and space to spread out. We'll definitely be back!

This small beach town is full of delicious restaurants and amazing people. However, one of my favorite things to do is going to their beach. As any Texas beach, their sand is rockier and can't be compared to a beach in the caribbean. However, I like that it is located within a bay so it's protected from huge waves which makes it great for kids. On our most recent trip there, the ocean tied was so low that the beach looked like a giant splash area, which my kiddo absolutely loved. The daily entrance fee for the beach is $10 and their yearly membership is $40. They do have public bathrooms and showers, but they are not the best. They also sell food and beverages inside the beach, but only during busy season (usually closed on weekdays). They also have a nice playground for the kiddos which is in the shape of a pirate ship. Also, please note the beach is not dog friendly, but service animals are allowed.

We looked around Houston and everything was booked or rained out! So we found Goose Island and it had decent reviews! We decided to book a campsite for one night- our campsite was 201. When we arrived my goodness!! I've never seen so many deer - one minute outside of the park, there were about 5 deers hanging out- not scared of me or my car or the noises. It was beautiful! When we entered the park, we first was looking for our campsite and drove in many circles- it was in the "wooded area" so it was a bit hard to find! When we arrived it was around 3pm And we started setting up camp. I am thankful the parking was right in front of the campsite but also that whole area I think 201-204 Is shared. I was lucky it was Christmas so no one else Booked the area next to us but it wouldn't have been as fun if others did! We stayed overnight- everything went well as planned! One thing I didn't like the restrooms were driving distance or a longer walk away but this was an amazing weekend getaway for us! In the morning we checked out the pier area. It was nice and very different than our campsite area! Highly recommend this park even for a daytime park!

It's an antonishingly old live oak tree with a massive trunk and spreading branches. During our visit, the land under and around the tree was a carpet of wildflowers. Goose Island State Park is smaller than some state parks we have visited but it's full of amenities. There are lots of camping spots for tents and RVs. There are short hiking trails that showcase the local flora . . . but be sure to bring your bug spray if you come during the warmer months. The pier that stretches into Aransas Bay has spectacular views, and the wetlands welcome many types of birds.

Mosquito repellent is also a good idea but if you forget it, it's sold in the visitor center. When you pay for admission, you get an arm band and a crude map. We wished the map was better. At least one part of a pathway was under construction, so we ended up cutting through the playground to get back. While called a botanical garden, this place is equally good for seeing birds, insects, reptiles, and other animals. Admission is very reasonable, so it's a great place to bring the kids. In the visitor center there are small caged reptiles. If there's an attendant, you might be able to pet a lizard. A blue-tongued skink was out while we were there. There are other animals in large outdoor cages, including several beautiful macaws and lizards. There is a winding path that takes you to a variety of areas on the property. Some areas, like orchids and butterflies, are within enclosures while most things you'll see are out in the open. Along the path there are a couple of elevated observation decks and lots of descriptive signage. There is an unshaded play area. There are several purple martin houses, which are fun to watch. We had hoped to see some hummingbirds in the gardens, as there was a hummingbird area with feeders and flowers they generally like, but the heat was perhaps too stifling. All in all, we found this to be a great place to visit, weather permitting. If you happen to be a member at another AHS garden, you can get in free.
