My boyfriend and I went to eat here and ZERO complaints what so ever. The staff was phenomenal!! Everyone was so friendly and don't get me started with the food .. we got the surf and Turf and everything was so good. The asparagus was on steroids but still so delicious. Nick the manager was amazing kept checking on us and made us feel very welcomed. 10/10 recommend if you're visiting. The view is a plus and you can also fish we caught non stop.

Nice breeze and great swing chairs

Fried fish and shrimp lightly breaded. Food was good. Parking lot is junky but restaurant/bar is very nice.

TLDR: Waterfront seafood restaurant (often busy, with a long wait for dinner) with delicious food…read more(still thinking about the pecan snapper and key lime pie). Good kids menu with the option to add protein (chicken or carnitas). This place exceeded my expectations. I did set them fairly low considering this is a touristy waterfront type of restaurant. FOOD: Delicious food here! Large menu too. Good clam chowder -- I only got a small cup but it was generously clammy. My grilled shrimp was good but usually most places can get that right. The asparagus side was cooked just right -- still had that crisp to it. However, the show stealer was hubby's pecan snapper. It was a big portion. The fish was also thick with a nice thin breading. Really dang good. I don't often grab dessert but I'm a fan of key lime pie -- their version did not disappoint. Delicious. KIDS FOOD: One of the best kids menus I've seen in a while. They've got a few deep fried options (chicken, fish, shrimp, corn dogs) as well as not fried (grilled cheese or mac and cheese). The part that really stood out was the option to add chicken, carnitas, or bacon to the mac and cheese. I got my son the mac and cheese with chicken on the side and they brought a large plate of chicken! It was delicious diced chicken too -- my son loved it! It was great to have a kid-friendly protein option since it's always fried junk or carbs galore. I should also add that the mac and cheese was real macaroni with melted cheese on top (not that fake goopy boxed type mac and cheese). They offer crayons and coloring paper to keep kids occupied while they wait. WAIT: I see a lot of negative reviews for the long wait. I mean -- it's a popular place, should you really hold that against them? I would probably avoid this spot for dinner on a weekend for this reason. We came for lunch on a Saturday (midday). There was no wait and we got a window table (we requested one). VIBE: Exactly what I wanted. Nice view of the water -- saw lots of fishing boats go by, a cool bird, and even a dolphin! The place is large and full of people but it's also pretty spacious with enough room between tables. SERVICE: Friendly and pretty attentive. BATHROOM: Cool chalkboard walls where you can leave your thoughts. There were some charmingly positive sentiments written in my stall. PARKING: Limited spots right outside of the restaurant but there is a large lot where people park their boats next door. No issue finding a spot there (early Saturday afternoon).

I'm actually not sorry to leave a negative review, but this was one of the most disappointing…read moredining experiences we've had. Don't go unless you're prepared to wait FOREVER. We arrived around 8:00 p.m. and waited about 45 minutes to an hour just to be seated. Once we were finally seated, we ordered a dozen oysters, three waters, two cocktails, and mac and cheese for our daughter. The drinks finally came, but they were incredibly weak. The biggest disappointment was the mac and cheese--it tasted like plain boxed Kraft macaroni, which was shocking for a restaurant. We placed our dinner order and then waited another hour and 45 minutes without receiving any food. By this point, it was 10:30 p.m., and our daughter had already finished eating and was exhausted. Our waiter, Kalen, was actually very polite, energetic, and apologetic throughout the night. He kept checking in and apologizing for the kitchen delays, so I don't blame him, he could have had an upper hand- and gotten aggressive and made an impact on timing. Unfortunately, after waiting nearly 2 1/2 hours from the time we arrived, we still never received our meals. My husband had to go to the front twice to cancel our order because we finally gave up and left hungry. The waiter again was nice but he could have done more and the manager competed our water and our daughters Mac and cheese. When we walked out - she had the audacity to give us a sad face - maybe you should have thought about your feelings while trying to get our food. It was truly a disgusting and horrible experience. We understand restaurants get busy, but waiting that long without food or any meaningful communication is unacceptable. We won't be returning. Other tables were being sat after us and actually left while we were still waiting that had received their food and paid. Extremely disappointed and will NEVER GO BACK.

The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, and the food is absolutely delicious. Our server, Lily, was a total delight. Although she was BUSY, she spent time chatting, welcoming us, and reviewing the menu. Loved everything, and can't wait to return. This will be added to our repeat list . So,let me tell you about the food. This could possibly be the best shrimp po boy I've ever had, with sweet potato fries. YUM! Also enjoyed the smoked brisket quesadilla with some cold beers, complete with coozies. And, bonus, across the street is the super cool , Seaman's Memorial Tower, dedicated to the local shrimpers and sailors who lost their lives to the sea. Very inspirational, and worth checking out.

The 3 stars?, for the very awkward service. We were a party of six. Waitress didn't seem too thrilled to have our table, which leads me to believe she assumed the worst of us. She automatically added her tip. Menu clearly states that happens for party of seven or more . Also they charge a credit card fee. I paid with a bank card. I didn't see anything about extra fees anywhere. We didn't experience this anywhere else in the area. Waitress would very unwelcoming ask if we were ready. "So yall ready". We visit Rockport 2 -3 times a year. I tip for a cup of coffee. But I guess we live in days where profiling has become the norm. It seems like a fun atmosphere, but the good vibes were just not there. The one drink I did order tasted like cough medicine. The potential for it being a great fun drink was there, but I was afraid to order a second. We wanted to hang out but we were very aware we were being rushed out the door.

The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, other diners are friendly and you don't feel rushed, although they get packed, for good reason. The servers and bartenders work hard to make your dining experience special, and do a great job at remembering their customers and their needs. It's a large, varied menu with lots of delicious and some unique items. Kudos to Chef Ben for his consistency, attention to special requests and for being a nice guy. The lovely Victoria does an incredible job managing this busy spot and hiring great staff. And, live music on weekends. This time I had the garlic shrimp, which was exceptional with a huge side of crispy, light , non greasy pub chips...yum. They are usually dusted with cheese, but mine were not due to an allergy. Dylan had the Prime Rib Sandwich, with fries, that he inhaled. A lovely couple next to us, who are regulars, Cathy and her husband (apologies), were so friendly and enjoyed their Million Dollar BLT and fries Kailey was our super attentive and pleasant server, and got to see the two best bartenders in the area, Felicia and Britt. Honestly, if you haven't been, your missing out! And there is also an outside sitting area, and across the street is the Fulton Pier, where you can see dolphins at night!
