When I picked up my six shoes, the leather uppers were scuffed, there was glue on the leather, the new rubber soles had residual glue not wiped off, and had been cut a little too much. I took them back and waited in the lobby for them. I imagine whoever worked on them was in a rush, tired or blind because the shoes came back looking pretty much the same. I didn't bother asking to finish the shoe as it was already pointless with my two attempts at getting the shoes decent. I would never recommend this place to anyone if you have a pair of shoes you really love. Terrible experience. I do not recommend.

Elijah replaces the taps on both pair while I waited (done in twenty minutes or less) and the repair was easy next day. They were all shined too before I walked out! It was time for some new soles for a repair, so I came here. Immediately on entering the shop, I knew I was in the right place. It's the old-school. Paper tags, paper bags, old machinery. It's as shoe repair should be. Steve has been in business for 30 years and is teaching his son the art as well. Upon dropping off my shoes, Steve immediately surveyed the shoes, to include ripping off the old soles and showing me where the last repair shop went wrong. Not from a place of arrogance, but from a place of skill, respect, and reverence for the longevity of a good shoe. After less than a week, my shoes were repaired to a very high standard, looking better than they have in years. I cannot recommend this shop enough. Steve is excellent.
