It is across from the…read morestreet from the two story Target and it is near SW 10th Street making it convenient to I-95. The 14 acre plaza is an older one built in 1980. It has 14 businesses and plenty of parking. The plaza is anchored by a Winn Dixie which you don't see that often as many have closed in this area after they went through bankruptcy. There is also a Bealls and a Buffalo Wild Wings. Other businesses include Painting with a Twist, Brutus Barbershop, Hard Exercise Works, I often find myself in this part of Deerfield beach because there is a lot of shopping and dining options in the immediate area. I like this plaza because it is always nostalgic for me to visit Winn Dixie and the Buffalo Wild Wings is a solid dining option.

This is definitely an older plaza but seems to be well maintained with sufficient parking. Three large self-drop donation clothing bins are at the center of the parking lot. The Rayus diagnostic is extremely busy by 745am and doubles as a public school bus stop for students. The Cove Shopping Center is a local Deerfield Beach landmark. Constructed in 1959 on Hillsboro…read moreBlvd, east of Federal Highway, it is withing walking distance of the beach. The Cove has some exciting new developments. Three new food and drink projects recently opened. These include the 46 year old Cove Restaurant and Tiki Bar which got a 6.5 million dollar makeover. Since 1977, the intracoastal waterfront Cove Restaurant has been a favorite of the Deerfield Beach community. The renovation project was spearheaded by developer Lou Moshakos who runs Oceanic and Lucky Fish Pompano. Mosakos has many fond memories of knocking back drinks with his wife after working at the Seafood Shanty. When the restaurant came up for sale he decided to purchase and restore it. Changes to the restaurant include a new chef and Key West style makeover of the tiki bar. On the opposite end of the plaza is the new 2.15 million dollar Cove Brewery with a 8,500 square foot brewhouse and taproom. The brewery anchors a 24,000 square foot warehouse that houses four new businesses including the recently opened Won-Tom's restaurant. I am exited to check out the changes to the plaza but I also enjoy dining at The Sticky Bun for breakfast , Modern Rose for light bites and coffee, and Patricia's of New York for dinner. Other businesses include jewelry stores, laundry, bridal stores, legal, banking, medical, and beauty services, clothing stores, pubs, and many other restaurants. If there is one drawback to The Cove it is that parking can be hard to come by. Complicating matters is the fact that people park here and walk over to the beach. If there is a festival going on you can forget about finding a space. Lou Moshakos has purchased roughly 2 acres of land next to The Cove and is considering building a parking garage to alleviate the parking headache. So many locals and tourists have fond memories of going to The Cove through the years . The new businesses and next phase of development will bring even more good times.

Located near the intracoastal waterway, this strip center has it all: restaurants, gift shops, several offices, bridal stores, boutiques and even a catering venue called Royal Fiesta. Sometimes the plaza has events like farmers markets, car shows etc. This is a fun shopping center because not only is it walking distance to the beach but it has a full marina and a path leading to Sullivan Park. It's so much fun people watching because you get to see people walking their dogs, riding their bikes, or just walking around enjoying the many stores and restaurants. The largest and most well known restaurant is Two George's; great for relaxing with an adult beverage on the water. There's also a family owned Italian restaurant called Antonio's, Sticky Bun for breakfast & lunch, Modern Rose Teahouse, Kava Lounge, French & Mexican restaurants, and American Rock Bar & Grill. There is something for everyone, so I can assure you that you won't go hungry. Many of the restaurants are dog friendly which I think is awesome especially since I plan on adopting another fur baby soon. Saving the best for last; my favorite restaurant in the plaza is Casa Maya. They serve the most delicious Mexican food and there is a small bar if you want to pop in for a margarita. It gets pretty loud but the food is worth it. The plaza is home to two bridal stores (Bellissima & Casa De Bridesmaids), a high end dress shop (Sondro), law offices, a tattoo shop, several stores as well as nail & massage places. The Cove shopping center is easy to find. Head east on Hillsboro & it's right before the bridge on the south side of the road. Lots of parking too. :-)

The Turnpike exit is also nearby. Well set back from the main road, the center has very good landscaping and a pretty walkway if you end up hiking from your parking space to the store. This eight building retail center has restaurants, thrift stores, a hair salon, a gym, not to mention a fantastic Italian bakery and an organic coffee shop. They are not at full capacity yet and I can't wait to see what restaurant will open next. I work near here and I am happy the plaza is doing well. Hospice and Levi's JCC both have thrift stores here. I have a separate review for Levi's. Busy Body gym is popular with local business people trying to squeeze in a work out on their lunch hour; not me, but my coworker does this & he is happy with the gym. Oishee Japanese is very good and I did a separate review on them. They serve hibachi but without the show and steep prices. My favorite is the shrimp but it's all delicious. I haven't been to The Organic Bean in a long time but they have great coffee. If they opened earlier I would stop in on my way to work. You can read my review for more details about this independently owned shop. I try to support local independent/family owned businesses whenever I can. Speaking of family owned businesses, you must stop in at Cosa Duci Italian Bakery! You can read my review for all the luscious details but they are the best. I haven't been there in a long time, even though I work so close and I have a portion of a gift card left. I'm saving it for a cheat day. They make the best meat arancini balls and potato croquettes I have ever had. Best Italian bakery around. Cinnaholic got their start on Shark Tank in 2014. They are serving up vegan cinnamon rolls with various gourmet toppings. I tried it and my review is posted. I Heart Mac & Cheese is very popular. Not my favorite, but everyone else seems to love the food here. It must be me. The new kid on the block is Bubbleology. I haven't tried it yet, but this place is busy! I'm looking forward to trying the bubble tea and it will be a first for me. Any recommendations? The plaza is located on the north side of 20th Street, just west of the train tracks and between 2nd Ave and Dixie Highway. Lots of parking.

The main attraction here is Publix. They completely renovated the store, and it looks really nice and modern. That has been the main reason I've visited since the plaza reopened. The parking lot is large and open, although it can be a little annoying since the lanes are directional. Overall, though, it is easy enough to navigate and there is plenty of parking. Aside from Publix, the plaza also has a pet hospital, real estate office, tax service, credit union, and an after-school program. There used to be a Jamaican restaurant here, but I no longer see it, so I'm not sure if they are planning to reopen. I also like that there are multiple entrances and exits, which makes getting in and out a little more convenient and helps with traffic flow. Overall, it's a nice, newly renovated plaza, and the updated Publix is definitely the highlight for me!

It is on the southwest corner of Atlantic and Rock Island Road. There are 640 parking spaces. Palm Lake Plaza is anchored by a Publix. Other businesses include CVS, Five Guys Burger and Fries, Starbucks, Subway, UPS, Banfield Pet Hospital, BB&T Bank, Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery, Before Hearing Center, Cricket Wireless, and First Bank of Florida. There are also hair and nail places, a lawyer, jewelry store, real estate, urgent care, a dentist, Learning City, a check cashing store, and a place to fix your phone. Plans were submitted last year to demolish the existing Publix and create a large more modern one. This would be welcome as this Publix has cramped aisles and looks dated. It looks very 80's Florida strip mall and the whole plaza could use a facelift. Still it has a good selection of dining options like Five Guys and useful businesses and services where you can run your errands. I am at the UPS at least once a month dropping off Amazon returns.
