My go to is the breaded chicken and fries with no cheese and ranch but my husband always picks Jerry's sauce. If we are feeling super hungry he will also get an order if mushrooms. We considered appetizers or soup but when the server advised that most diners take home half their sandwich, we each decided to forego a first course and possibly get dessert after. We both got coffee, which was decent and fresh in smallish mugs. The server was very friendly. However, things went downhill after our order was taken. We wanted more coffee but the server had disappeared. Fifteen minutes, finally got a refill, server disappeared again. There were three other servers visible and still only ten customers in the dining room (one party of four left & another came in). After a full hour of waiting for the sandwiches, we saw our server and asked how much longer. She apologized and said it would be just a few minutes more. Twenty minutes later, we got our food. The fresh cut fries were PERFECT. The Reuben looked really good and had a lit of tender meat on it, but it was a huge disappointment - very dry and flavorless (even the sauerkraut!). We needed to add more Thousand Island dressing tmake it less dry but again, our server was nowhere to be seen. We finally flagged down the owner to ask for more dressing, which improved the palatability but it was still a solidly average product. After we got the dressing, the server was more attentive. Ambiance 8, service 4, fries 10, Reuben 4, pricing 7. I would probably not go back except that the fries are exactly the kind I like. I'd definitely not recommend the Reuben. Overall, we had hoped for & expected a better experience that didn't happen. Waiting almost 90 minutes for the food in an almost empty restaurant (counting the time waiting for the condiments to make the dry sandwiches edible) was really disappointing.

My wife got 3 (gargantuan) wings with cole slaw and mac & cheese for sides. As well as everything being perfectly cooked and delicious, the portions were huge. The pricing started to make perfect sense since each meal was enough for two people. The meats were tender and tasty and the sides were comfort food standards, some with fresh embellishments like the slightly spicy, sweet and sour cole slaw and baked beans with a kick of onion and mild spices. As another reviewer mentioned, it is all subjective...but the level of spice here is light to moderate. If this bothers you, you may wish to rethink why you're eating barbecue in the first place. Five stars, and looking forward to having the rest for dinner tomorrow.
