Upon my visit, I was pleased to find that the wings lived up to the hype. I ordered the General Alex, which is a combination of their General Tso's sauce and Lickers sauce (not on the menu, but available upon request). The wings were large, cut wings - not small wing pieces, but not whole wings either. They were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat inside. The General Alex sauce had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, making for a truly satisfying wing experience. In addition to the General Alex, I also tried their garlic wings. These were equally delicious, with a rich, garlicky flavor that paired well with the crispy exterior of the wings. This location is a smoking establishment so please respect this bars right to do as they please. With that said, this location upon both of my visits had very little to no smoke smell in its haul. I enjoy watching Steelers games at this location with their many tv's and their delicious wings from time to time. A big part of the attraction of dive bar lies in the patrons it attracts, and I came here early on a weekday when no one else was there; so any observations on that will have to wait for future visits. But the place has such character that I've already listed it among my favorite PIttsburgh area dives.
