I have been in and out of photography for years (ok...mostly out). I know enough to not be a rank…read morebeginner, but not enough to be considered intermediate. I was able to take 5 courses this summer through CA Photography Center, with 4 different instructors, and I learned SO much from each course. Ramiro Gaytan, the owner, is a wonderful teacher. He keeps the classes fun and instructional. He taught the basics of how to use your camera, as well as some of the more advanced courses. His love for photography and his enthusiasm to share that with others comes through. The other instructors I had were also quite good, each with their own personalities and styles of teaching. I was also impressed with the range of expertise the students had. From people like me that didn't know tons, to people that have been doing this (and getting paid for it) for years. I highly recommend CA Photography Center if you are interested in learning more about photography.

I have attended various other photography classes, but I can without any hesitation can say this is the best class I have taken. The class I took was 6 evening sessions and I have leant a lot in each session. Most of the training is practical and hands-on. I have never enjoyed a class like this before. I will definitely recommend this place and will not hesitate to attend their future classes.

I get to her studio with hair and makeup done ( she she also offers that service though) with regular clothes and she takes care of the rest. I've taken mommy and me and this time with 2 kids and not having to worry about putting outfits together was amazing . My son is 2 and does not stay still and let me tell you she captured him. While looking through the wedding photographs, I saw that she had captured moments that I didn't think were "moments". While I have always longed to take beautiful, magazine-worthy shots of family/friends/events, taking a camera off the automatic mode intimidates me as much as going to the gym to work out =). Just saying the acronym DSLR is almost as tough for me as knowing what to do with one lol. Anyway, got a great deal with Living Social. A 2 hour DSLR class for dummies...errr I mean beginners ;). We met at Fairmount Park in Riverside. Beautiful little hidden gem that I had never been to before. Absolutely quaint and charming - perfect for picture taking. Andre was easy going, friendly and informative. He never made me feel inept or clumsy with my camera. If anything, my confidence level has increased and my interest in the whole field of photography has reached a new peak. That, in and of itself far exceeds the $29 I spent for the class.
