My son has been going here for 2 weeks now for Muay Thai and boxing and has absolutely fallen in love with this place. He rides his Ebike from our house less than a mile away and goes Monday - Thursday. My son, who just turned 14 has been training BJJ since he was 8 and just moving to SC wanted to learn standup. But with his membership, he can train with top-tier BJJ teachers, box, fight, Muay Thai, and do all-around MMA at this gym. This place is amazing! The teachers are excellent! I had my first Muay Thai lesson with Coach Jake last Wednesday. He did a great job breaking down the lessons into consumable parts and easy-to-achieve goals. I learned a jab, cross, and hook (though it needs work) as well as a low kick. We went from shadow boxing to the bag to the ring with pads. Coach has us start with stretching and ended with crunches. We did 30 seconds of squats in between the 2 minute bag drills. He did a good job correcting my footing and form so that I don't learn it wrong. I left that day feeling elated and confident -- ready for next week. I even got to meet his coach. I highly recommend this San Clemente gym. read more

I am going to try not to gush, but I love these guys! My wife and I decided that our 7 year old son needed some more physical outlets that also taught him discipline. We ran through the options. Soccer, swim team, karate, t ball, all the standards. When I cam to Adam Watts at San Clemente's Fight Strong MMA I knew this was the place. It starts with Adam, who is a champion in multiple jiu jitsu disciplines but is a calm collected and highly skilled teach. This isn't some gym full of chest pounding knuckle draggers but a place where skills are taught in a manner befitting a true martial art. I wouldn't trust my son at such an influential age to anyone else. Highly recommend this gym to anyone with any sort of objective (or none) looking to challenge themselves or just get a kick ass workout! This gym is great! All of the coaches are very experienced and care a lot about what they do. Began training here over a year ago. I've been on the matt enough times to know Adam is an awesome and very knowledgable coach and all of the jujitsu guys are really cool and helpful, even taken coach Julies strength training and conditioning class (alot of cardio, better for people who are really looking to get back in shape without much contact) a couple times and she's put me through some badass workouts! But I've got to give it up to coach Dan, the striking coach. I can't empathize how much he's helped me! I came in basically wanting a great workout to keep me occupied and thought it would be cool to do it through striking. Coach Dan watched me the first day I came in for me free week trial, like he does with all this first timers, saw how I moved around and could strike, talked to me a bit and got an idea of my personality and what kind of traits I possessed. Ever since that day he has constantly been building me up inside and outside the ring. My confidence has went through the roof, he gave me a set of tools that sync perfectly with my body type and the type of fighter i am, I never thought I would be sparring and beating the level of guys I've recently been fighting at. He's constantly increasing the intensity of workouts for the level of each and every fighter, he's got me in the weight room pushing myself with killer workouts that he's had first hand experience in learning and seeing work on his students (passed the Plato I've been stuck at for ages). Always shares tips on nutrition and things he's learned about the sport through his many years. Take the time to get to know him! Really nonjudgemental, wise and REAL coach. Professor Adam Watts is a jiu jitsu Jedi. Best in the business! They offer BJJ, boxing, MMA and strength and conditioning. This place is great ! I train here 5x a week and compete in jiu jitsu under Adams guidance. He's always there for me, helps me meet my goals and improve. My wife also trains here and she loves it too. This is a great gym! I had one objective in mind when I came here: Improve my No Gi jiu jitsu and heal my injuries. Adam took me under his wing and helped me accomplish my goals over the 2 years I trained there. Adam is a black belt in BJJ and has metaled in some of the most prestigious BJJ competitions in the world. He always greets you with a smile and shows interest in your personal advancement. Everyone I trained with was tough and in shape. Cops, special forces, state wrestlers, you name it, they train here. The toughest person in the gym by far is Coach Julie-Adam's wife and head strength and conditioning coach. Take her class and you will see what I mean. They have a World class kids jiu jitsu program too. Adam and Julie have young 2 kids themselves, so they know how to keep the kids interested and active during training. Real gym. I'm a Marine MAIT stationed at Pendleton and I know how hard it is to find good places to train. Here there are instructors in No Gi and Gi Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai. Great Gym!!! I am very excited since the moment I signed in! Coach Daniel and Coach Adam are amazing and have a lot of experience!
