I walked in a little nervous -- okay, very nervous -- since it was my first class and my first time ever doing Pilates, but I immediately felt so welcomed. Kristin was incredibly warm and kind from the start. She checked in with me throughout class, made thoughtful adjustments when I needed them, and made sure I felt comfortable and confident the whole time. That kind of attention makes such a difference! The entire class had such a supportive, positive vibe -- no intimidation, just encouragement. I woke up today definitely feeling yesterday's workout (hello, muscles I didn't know I had!) but already feeling stronger and so proud of myself for trying something new. The Megaformer class itself was challenging and well worth taking. Unfortunately, what happened afterward completely changed my impression of the studio. About 16 hours later, I received a "missed class" email that was surprisingly harsh and off putting, especially as a first time client. I was never aware that I needed to check in on the iPad, and as a new guest, I assumed my attendance was already accounted for. Had I known there was a separate check in process, I would have happily completed it. While I understand the need for attendance and cancellation policies, the tone of the email felt accusatory and unwelcoming. Instead of reaching out to verify what happened, the message immediately focused on strict policies, penalties, and waivers. As someone trying the studio for the first time, it left me feeling more like a problem than a valued customer. Allison deserves recognition for providing an excellent class experience, but the studio's follow-up communication left such a negative impression that it overshadowed what was otherwise a great workout. I hope the studio considers a more welcoming approach for first time clients, especially when attendance issues may simply be the result of confusion about the check in process. **EDIT TO ADD- Was just charged a late cancellation fee, I do not recommend this studio.

This is the second CrossFit gym I've ever belonged to. Josh's patience and focus with his members exudes from him, which makes for a supportive and safe workout experience. His coaches (employees) reflect this as well. The community in each class is fun and welcoming. if you're looking for a gym to join or a place to "drop-in" while visiting San Clement, then this is the place. I usually have to squeeze one in before 7am since I work all day (but it's so worth it). Every class I've taken, I've left feeling like I accomplished an epic workout. The check in desk employees are so nice and welcoming. I've taken a few friends here for their first spin class and they didn't feel awkward or like they were new. Everyone rides as a team, but also sets individual goals. You feel like you're with a family (but also getting your booty kicked). A few of my favorite instructors: Crystal - she's sweet and sassy, and I LOVE her setlist! She will work your legs harder than you can imagine but the class goes by so quick. She usually teaches early in the morning and is a ray of sunshine (especially when the sun isn't even up yet)! Catalina - definitely one of the classes I look forward to because it's always different. She combines arm movements to go with the beat of the music so I leave work sore arms and legs! Lisa - Lisa is a CRACK UP. Her personality makes me forget I'm working out because I'm having so much fun. She plays rock music, 80s, and then music you would blast in your car on the way to Vegas...it's a little of everything. Attending these group workouts 5-6 days a week got me to push my limits to a level that i simply could not have done on my own. Josh is a great and very supportive coach who is present and attentive to everyone during the workouts.
