He has early morning classes and evening classes to fit your schedule as well as personal training one on one sessions. Personally I have noticed my energy levels are up, I'm sleeping better, being a lot more mindful of my diet and I noticed I am physically stronger as well. It doesn't matter if you're a fitness veteran or just starting out, the classes are a go-at-your-own-pace style, do as much as you can in a certain amount of time. Simply put this is Kenpo at it's core, with elements of judo, jiu jitsu, kickboxing, and shootfighting (mma). On top of their self defense techniques, you'll learn katas and use of several weapons. It's a challenging and fun workout. The instructors are the best I've encountered and I've worked with over 20+ instructors over the course of my martial arts career. Mr. Erickson, my instructor, is very good at what he does, and he is very kind and patient, knowledgeable and well versed in technique and martial arts history. I highly recommend this business -- also, their gi is black! I definitely prefer that color over a white gi any day.

I highly recommend the Muay Thai class for adults and for kids! I loved that Denise, AJ, and Cheryl really kick your butt to house/Vegas/EDM style music. I also love the boxing class. The place itself does not look fancy but it is what it is = a kick ass place to get your cardio in along with fighting classes for all ages. I think its great they also hold occasional challenges (most fat loss/most weight loss) and have prizes such as free membership for a period of time, etc. I find it very hard to believe that this gym or any other would charge you for 4 months after the fact-- I canceled mine when I moved and did not experience such an issue. I did however buy the 10-pass class for when I do visit my family on the weekends and can get a cardio workout in. I say try it for yourself. There are all kinds/sorts of people here: thick, thin, young, older, beginners, novice, expert. You'll fit in no matter what shape you are in.

From day one, the emphasis is on teaching "Real" movements using a "hands on" approach. Lots of hitting pads and doing things on the teacher to make sure you understand how it works. For the sport fighting (MMA) enthusiast, they teach "Shootfighting", a combination of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Jujitsu, Russian Sambo, and Catch wrestling. Not just 'Stand Up' and 'Ground' in separate classes, the "Shootfighting" integrates the two creating a much more well rounded fighter. The instructors are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. THERE ARE NO "KID" TEACHERS. All of the instructors are adults, and the adults and kids are taught separately in the group classes. If you are looking to train as a family or for training for you son/daughter, you will not find a better place. Instead of focusing on 'point fighting' and playing a 'game'. Kids build up their self esteem and confidence while learning real physical skills that will need if they are attacked. There is nothing worse than if a kid thinks he can defend his or herself only to get beat up (OR WORSE), because what they learned doesn't really work. I do know that there are quite a few CHP officers, Police, SWAT, as well as Correctional Officers from CMF training here as well as some of the other locations (and they are some of the coolest people to train with) If it is good enough for them an their families, it is good enough for mine.
