We just now finished 12 original tunes for my CD. Pyata coproduced, mixed and mastered the entire project, as well as added incredible percussion. He is like a high-quality Swiss Army knife! There is nothing he can't fit together and make work...And in the end, it not only sounds tasty and warm, it sounds like it all belongs together. Pyata and Figure 8 Sound... His great skill doesn't come cheap - about USD $75-$100/hour, less for a full session I'm sure. If you've got the money and time, he's worth every penny. Even if you're a "home studio whiz", it's worth the couple $100's to have Ryan master your CD before release - he is without a doubt the best mastering engineer on the west coast (think: Portland's Bob Ludwig.) Again, not cheap, but you get more than what you pay for, and it's relaxed, fun and friendly. Recommended!

So I decided get it serviced. It came back sounding so much better - clear chimie highs and beefy lows. Trevor replace many old shabby parts with higher quality parts. It may possibly sound better than a new one. The only negative is that it took 3 months for the repair. But that is only because he is in such high demands and it speaks for his quality work. If you need you amp fixed tomorrow, you may have to go elsewhere.
