They say it's her fault for not having a lid on her hamper (as if she's responsible for the lidless hamper they provided). Then they tell her to move the hamper somewhere else so that they don't put trash in it (including used surgical gloves). She was recently moved to a new room over a week ago and still doesn't have a phone. Seriously thinking about registering a complaint with the State. Also considering taking her out of there and moving her to another facility. Today, one of the aides was dressing another patient with my sister's clothes.

The institution claims that he saw a Dr. the first day but only one other time the last day before we took him home. He lost about 20 lbs in this period from refusing to eat the food and getting depressed. There is only one shower forall the patients on the 3rd floor and his surgical incision was supposed to be showered daily. There was no recourse to air our grievances. The Social Worker was hard to reach and not available to help us out. As his wife, I was constantly frustrated by the lack of oversight. I feel that the facility is highly understaffed and overworked. There was no way to reach the patients except by cellphone before 9 AM and after 5 PM. When I spoke to the Management they spouted their great 5 star reviews. But when I finally went to Yelp the reviews were horrendous. I see that they only got 1 1/2 stars. In terms of rehab - in the "gym" people were in wheelchairs heads bent - very sad to see. At least my husband did get a half hour of PT but no communication with family as to progress, etc. As I was leaving one day after my daily oversight visits a patient yelled out to me "WELCOME TO THE PRISON."

Dr. Kowalski was referred to me by my former chiropractor, who retired after seeing her for 26+ years. I was hesitant in trying someone new but in so much pain in many areas of my body that I had let go too long due to Covid. She told me to give it a few sessions with her before I sought out a neurologist...and I'm so glad I did! That pain is long gone (felt relief after the first session!) but I still visit her for my general back pain. Everyone is so sweet and friendly-- every visit I look forward to seeing Dr. Kowalski, Andrea, and Theresa. Everyone there just wants to help and they are always willing to do so. Unlike other chiropractors I've gone to, Dr. Kowalski tailors my treatment to how I'm feeling that day, and sometimes that may change in the same week! I've been to doctors where every treatment was the exact same no matter my symptoms, but Dr. Kowalski isn't afraid to switch things up to best target my pain areas.
