The Fillmore KOA is an oasis in a sea of bad RV campgrounds. The grounds here are beautifully maintained, the spacing between each space it appropriate, and the services provided are excellent. When we arrived the person, staffing the front desk was very helpful, she escorted us to our space and made sure we were happy. Over the next two days we used the laundry facilities were happy that they were so clean. Two caveats though, small folding table and dyers that cannot be extended. The WiFi was strong and reliable. There is an annoying login screen, which we had to log into every time we needed to surf, but I could overlook this, annoyed me. Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Will we come back? Absolutely. Informational: We travel in a 36' Class A RV.

Been to many campgrounds in my life and this KOA is awesome. The owners are so gracious and they take great care if everything!! The grounds are perfectly kept, the pool, spa, laundry and restrooms are spotless highly recommend this campground. The trails are close and really fun to ride, if you like to ride be sure to spend some time in Fillmore. There are trips to different attractions everyday. The only place we were not to fond of was the lava tubes. It's very rough riding and really hot, be sure to go to lace curtains tho

About a week…read moreor two out, Team sent me occasional updates as to what events and what to expect upon arrival and during stay. Main building has just about everything you need. Great showers. They are small but they come with great hot and or cold water if needed with great water pressure. There is a dog wash in the back of the building. They also have a small dog pen for your dogs to run around in off leash. Ichose one of their small cabins. They are full stocked if needed (sheets / blankets and such). Each location has a deck, outside table, and fire pit. Some cabins come with more or less, just depends on what you choose. It would be nice if they had a few more tense spots. In all, Camp Host - does a great job in keeping location very clean and presentable. Job well done !!

Richfield KOA was the worst KOA we have ever stayed at, we did stay in January. Let me explain,…read morefirst no one on duty, I mean absolutely nobody. Everything was by generic computer text. Then the BATHROOM WAS CLOSED! That means no shower, no bathroom, and no one to complain to for a refund. Why does KOA allow them to still rent spots without some reference to this being a simple parking spot without any amenities? We would have been much better off to go and stay at a local hotel for the same price. If you are in a van or smaller RV avoid this place! Many of the sites are occupied by full time residences so it is more of a mobile home park rather than a camping spot. People driving in and out at all hours, heading to or coming home from work. Lot's of noise and again, no body around to request another spot, or to open the bath.

I read all…read moreabout the hot springs and location on their website beforehand so I knew what I was getting into. The little shop in the main building check in area was very cute and had a lot of fun things to look at and buy! We stayed one night in a tent camp spot. There are restrooms attached to the main building with showers, toilets, and sink/mirrors. There's also a dish washing space for longer stays. The camp site had decent shade and grass area to put your tent on. There were a couple picnic tables for use as well. There are free-roaming peacocks that are beautiful but are definitely loud in the morning! We went in July which is really hot for the hot springs, but it was nice since it wasn't busy! We had our soak time from 8-10pm which was great to view the sunset and soak while the air cooled off. It's such a unique hot spring location with bathtubs and larger pools. The owner walked around and made sure everyone was comfortable and was super friendly. I liked that they weren't sulfur hot springs so you didn't stink after! The negative reviews here seem like they didn't read the website that explained what to expect. I appreciate the websites honesty in keeping this location rustic and authentic, while acknowledging there are things they could improve. Knowing you're not going to a five-star location would be beneficial. The small business aspect played a huge role, in having great hospitality and a very friendly atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, thank you!

The heated blankets and heaters in the buses helped keep warm on colder nights. Very friendly staff! My only suggestion would be allowing guests staying there to soak all night or at least util 10pm or have an early guest window to soak before regular reservations arrive.

Surprising, and happily, I found it to be almost void of any people, with the exception of a few stragglers by the water and recreating about. Aside from Fish Lake (from which the forest takes its name), there are mountains and meadows that are equally beautiful. If you're interested, you can visit Pando. Pando is a quaking aspen that has multiple stems but they're all connected by a root system and all the "trees" have the same DNA. Pando is more like a iceberg where the below the surface portion is the significant bit. It is the world's largest tree (and perhaps organism) by mass. It is estimated to be at least several thousand years old, with some estimates being 16,000 years old. It feels so humbling to be visiting the forest since you feel like you're just a speck of dust compared to Pando around you. Mind blowing.
