This was our second experience with Forget-Me-Not. The first was wonderful, however, the most recent left us much less satisfied. Our dog died at home, so we just arranged to bring her in ourselves rather than through the vet. I had seen that the cost should be $250 or under as she had dropped under 30 lbs during her illness. I think I had seen prices on the vet site, as it is impossible to find prices on the crematory business site. We were told we needed to make an appointment to come in with the family and discuss what we wanted, even though we had expressed it was our second time and knew what we wanted. When we arrived, we were told to carry in our animal and then she was put in the room with us (adults were fine but creepy for the kids). The whole point was to upsell us-PERIOD. There was fake empathy and full press to buy extras despite repeatedly saying what we wanted. We left feeling like someone had smacked us. After a horrible night with our dog dying, it was the last thing any of us needed. Then we are told it is over $300 (either $325 or $350- I cannot remember) as they give different prices to different vets. Bringing the animal in ourselves rather than having FMN pick up costs MORE??!! 2 Stars because the presentation of the ashes was nice, I will be looking elsewhere the next time we need such services. read more

The month of October began in the most heartbreaking way imaginable. On October 1st, I lost my beautiful 10-year-old Maltese, Princess. Waking up and finding her gone is a moment I will never forget, the image is etched into my soul forever. She wasn't "just a dog." She was my heart, my joy, my reason to smile. For years I had the privilege of loving her, caring for her, and being loved by her in return. Losing her shattered me. After her passing, I called her veterinarian, who told me they worked with Forget Me Not. But what followed made an already painful time even harder. The vet's office misinformed me about pickup dates and times, first telling me Princess would be picked up that Wednesday afternoon, and then later telling me she hadn't been. The next day, they told me she would be picked up after noon, but when I called back, they said she still hadn't been taken. I was devastated. The thought of my baby lying in a freezer... alone, cold, and away from me... tore me apart. This was now the second night she was gone from my side, and the grief was suffocating. In my desperation, I called Forget Me Not and spoke with Cathy. From the moment she answered, I felt her warmth, empathy, and genuine care. She spoke to me softly and kindly, and she listened... really listened... to my pain. That's when I learned the truth: their regular pickup days were Tuesdays and Fridays. My heart sank, and I called the vet again, upset and frustrated with the misinformation I had been given. Behind the scenes Cathy did something I will never forget. Out of pure compassion, she arranged for an unscheduled pickup just for Princess. She instructed her driver to contact her once he arrived so she could personally call me and let me know my girl was in their care. And when that call came, when I heard the words, "She is now in our care", I burst into tears. That small act of kindness meant everything to me. It was as if Cathy had lifted a small piece of the heavy weight crushing my heart. In that moment, I knew that Forget Me Not wasn't just a business... they were people who truly understand what it means to lose a being you love. They treated my Princess with dignity and treated me with such tenderness and compassion. They helped make one of the most painful experiences of my life just a little more bearable. It's been 13 days since I lost her, and the grief is still raw. But when I think about how Cathy and the Forget Me Not team stepped in for me when I was drowning in pain, I feel a deep sense of gratitude. They reminded me that even in heartbreak, there is kindness. And I take comfort in knowing that I advocated for my daughter in her death just as fiercely as I did in her life. We lost our boy on Wednesday May 24th, after nine and a half wonderful happy years. We were a mess, they were incredible and compassionate. They came and picked our sweet baby up, to take him to their facility. They treated his body and our family with incredible dignity, they allowed us extra moments to say goodbye, and goodbye again... No one tells you how hard it is to lose a pet... you have an idea but you don't know until you lose them. They made the worst day a little easier. Their understanding of our pain, they treated us compassionately. They talked us through our options, and today... They brought our boy home to us. They hand delivered him to our door, his box and paw print were so incredibly beautiful. This is something you never want to do, but is a necessity when the inevitable happens. My beautiful cat passed away from what was likely cancer at the emergency vet this week. They picked his body up and cremated it and were wonderful on the phone when I made the final arrangements. The woman I spoke to the day after he passed was sympathetic and thorough and honestly that's all I can ask for during a time when I'm in a complete mourning haze and my kid is screaming from the other room and I'm a total teary wreck. I picked my cat's remains up from his normal vet a few days later as they seem to run a regular route to area vets and I was so impressed by their thoughtfulness. Mally was a seal point Siamese and I had opted for them to clip me a lock of his fur, which was complimentary. They took locks from all of his 4 major fur colors, which was above and beyond. They included a little paw print pin and a packet of forget-me-not seeds and I look forward to planting them soon. I appreciate them and what they do, it's not easy. read more

I was absolutely distraught when I had seen they weren't shipped to me but another state only to be told they accidentally sent me the wrong information. They were absolutely unprofessional and I hope to god they never do this to anyone else ever again. I would never ever use this service again even if my life depended on it. I was told one day shipping and I've been waiting almost a week. A refund is nothing for the anguish I have felt during this whole experience as my mind and emotions were played around with during this horrible experience. This awful experience I am going through has been made more stressful because of this company. First, I was given the wrong shipping information. I thought for a good portion of my day that my Hershey was picked up by a stranger in NY. Then I was told it was a "miscommunication" I DID NOT accept that answer. After I proved that I did get the wrong information I got a call and an apology, but then Hershey's ashes didn't show up when they were supposed to. I was told my kittens ashes would be here yesterday. I waited all day (even though I had a lot to do) because someone needed to be there to sign for him......nothing shows. Now I have to leave work and miss out on money I desperately need because of all his vet bills towards the end of his life had piled up. I honestly don't even trust that when the urn comes today IF the urn comes today, it will be my Hershey and not someone else's loved one. Absolutely horrible experience with this POS company. Cathy is the office manager and should be fired. My cat died on 6/10/22. Sara from Forget-Me-Not called me to organize the cremation of my cat. We were on a 30 minute call to confirm the details: cremation in a box, an engraved metal with the date of her passing, and most importantly, a clay print of her left paw. 5 days later my husband received a call AFTER she was cremated to confirm if we wanted a clay print of her left paw or an ink print. AFTER she was cremated. Excuse after excuse after excuse. Sure they refunded our order, but you call me to confirm what we ordered AFTER?!!!!!! The pain of losing my 19 year old cat was enough. The fact that you completely screwed up and didn't even do your job is unacceptable. I will NEVER use this company ever again. The office manager, Cathy is completely inept. Cathy even said to not bother contacting the regional manager, Sarah Streeter because she "doesn't do anything and is never around." The VP, Amy Gilman is clearly not doing her job. Calling to make final arrangements for my beloved cat, Pickles, was one of the most difficult telephone calls I have had to make, especially because it was extremely sudden and unexpected, as well as less than 2 months after the sudden passing of my former husband and soulmate of 34 years. However, the call had to be made, so after promising myself that I wouldn't cry, I tearfully explained that I needed to make the arrangements. Words could never adequately express the level of kindness with which I received in response-- during that initial call or the follow up coordination conversations. Everyone was so understanding, genuine, respectful, patient, and loving. It almost felt like I was receiving the warm embraces that I so needed from over the phone, as if they knew & loved my wonderful kitty, too. While there was no doubt in my mind that Pickles' body would be treated with loving respect & dignity in their care, I was also incredibly touched by the personable, compassionate manner in which his ashes & related items were prepared for me to bring home. Unfortunately, I've had to euthanize 3 other cats over my lifetime, & they've always been returned in a cheap, flimsy box via UPS (at much higher costs.). Pickles was returned with love (& I couldn't afford anything except their most basic option.) I hope I won't need these services again for a very long time (my other kitty is almost 2 years old.) Our cat died suddenly last Saturday, and I called Forget-me-not on the advice of a friend. They returned my call almost immediately and were able to take my pet on the same day. I lost my beloved Shane on September 21, 2021. -He was 17 years old. Our family is heartbroken. My vet suggested Forget Me Not Crematory. I have always buried all of my pets. After a few days I called them on September 25, 2021 and booked a private cremation and informed her I would call back when I chose the urn. They booked Shane to be picked up on Tuesday September 28, 2021. On Monday, September 27, 2021, I called, chose my urn and gave my credit card. Although I was grieving, I felt better knowing everything was booked and although I had previously buried all of my pets, he would be cremated with dignity as he was so special to our family. On Tuesday, I received a call from Forget me not telling me they had picked Shane up from the Feline Hospital in Salem, MA on the 21 and they had already cremated him in a group. He passed that very morning. She was not only cold and rude, but didn't take any responsibility for this error. When I had spoken to them the 2 times previously, no one ever informed me of this and had even booked picking him up on the 28th. In fact, they never called me when they picked up Shane to inform me, they had him and to confirm his cremation with me. My poor baby is gone and I have nothing left of him. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. They don't care at all. They didn't even know where my cat was. THEY ARE SHAMEFUL. DO NOT USE THEM. Make them take some responsibility for their error. I am so upset and angry over this.
