After agreeing to have the House, Patio cover, and Carport roofs replaced, it was about mid May when they started the repairs. The house shingles were put on and so far no noticeable problems with them, but they were put on by men who could barely speak English if they could speak it at all, so that could explain why that part of the job appears to be fine so far. Good job to them. The Patio cover had a small leak before they replaced the roof on it and they said they could fix that also. The same group that shingled the house did most of the patio cover but there was an issue with the metal sheets and Nick came out to finish that after they got another metal sheet. But it still leaked and after months of text messages, a few phone calls, and a lot of silicone, that finally stopped leaking. Nick also was the one to replace the roof on the Carport. It ended up with numerous bad leaks. Again after months and many texts, an appointment was made where one of his crew would come by but no one showing up. Even though I had repeatedly said I wanted them to call me before they got to my house or just knock and announce themselves so I would know they are there whenever they came by to do work, the next day I get a text from Nick saying he had just come by and fixed the leak. I saw no one and heard nothing but the all of the leaks were still there, so did he or didn't he, you can decide. Finally Nick said he was leaving his dad's business and going into business for himself and he no longer returned by texts or calls. So in October I started dealing with Roger instead of his son Nick. After several several texts and a phone call, he showed up and said the Carports roof panels were put on incorrectly and the screws used were tightened down to tight causing the metal to bow or warp. I forget the exact words he used to describe what the over-tightened screws did but bow and warp is close enough. He didn't fix anything that day but said he would fix it the fallowing week but as you can guess, that didn't happen. Which set off another period of texts and calls over the next month or so, that got no reply. Finally he showed up and reversed the panels that were on incorrectly and put in screw with rubber washers and this fixed most of the leaks but not all. I informed him on Jan 21st and asked when he could come by and fix this leak and he said " I'll let you know it shouldn't be too long at all" On Feb 27, after having heard nothing from him, I started what would be a string of unanswered texts that stretch to March 18th. When I called him today, March 20th, and asked again when this leak would get fixed, his final solution was for me to "find someone else to fix it and lose his number" So don't hire storm chaser who show up in your town after storms, because most will be from a long distance off. It will eventually become not cost efficient to fix the mistakes they made even after they have been completely paid for the job. Especially one who say their work is 100% guaranteed and customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. Most of my communication with this company was through text messages and a few phone calls so if Roger would like to dispute this account of events, I can screenshot the texts and post them if the site accommodates that.
