I went in today to buy my daughter a car and could not be more disappointed. I have bought several new cars from them and have always had a fine experience until today. We were buying a used Kia Sportage and we were told the 10 year power train warranty would roll over for us for the remainder of the 10 years. (Until 2030). I made sure to clarify that this was the case, before negotiating the price of the vehicle. They confirmed. Then we came to terms on the price, ran credit; and went back to finish financing. This is where they told me that the warranty would not carry over and I had to buy an additional warranty to have anything for the vehicle. $2,500 my cost. I said that wasn't what we agreed to when we discussed the price and I would have never agreed to that price with zero warranty and I would have walked away without running my credit and wasting hours of my day. I said I would still buy the vehicle, for the agreed upon price, if they simply honor the warranty, and they would not. They also would not discount the vehicle price to pay for any 3rd party warranty, stating they would lose money on the deal. Basically, they would not honor the deal that we made prior to running my credit and financing the deal. They even had me sign most of the paperwork before they disclosed the fact that the warranty no longer existed. Dirty. It is so dumb to lose me as a client. I buy from them frequently and I am easy to deal with, mostly buying new vehicles and getting them serviced there. Bad move to throw away six figures of business for a $1,800 (their cost)warranty that you promised in the first place. If you make a deal, honor it even if you made a mistake. Part of doing business. He had Jim handle my service this time because he was going to be out of town and I joked around with Jim about the high expectations I have because of the fantastic Service Ron has always given me. Most of the problems you will find with this car dealership is something that, unfortunately, you will find at almost any car dealership today. Here is what you can expect: 1. No matter what car you buy, you will pay at least MSRP, plus dealer installed options that your forced to buy (the dealer installed options are about $2000, and consist of things that are little or no value to most car buyers). 2. Prices quoted in their advertisements for purchases, or leases, are no where near what you will actually pay. If you read the fine print, many things are not included in the advertised price, and many times the price is based on an entry level model that they don't even have in stock. 3. Like most car dealers, they do bait and switch tactics (again, luring people into the showroom with really low advertised prices, only to find out that car and/or price is not available). There were also a couple of issues I had that was specific to this dealership...or to be more precise, specific to the salesperson I had: 1. My salesperson informed me, that I would need to fill out a survey about the salesperson's performance, and it was important to give a good review (because the Sales people lose out on extra bonus money, from the dealership, if they get a bad review). OK, I get it, everyone wants to make more money, and this salesperson did everything to play on my sympathy to get it...but the next thing that happened made me feel a little uncomfortable...the salesperson actually took me to the car I was buying, where we sat inside, and had me fill out the performance review, while looking over every answer I gave. Needless to say, it's a little difficult giving honest feedback, when the person you're reviewing is reading every one of your responses. 2. During the sales process, my salesperson kept telling me if I ever had any questions about the car, I could call him anytime....even if it was a couple years later (the salesperson also provided me with their direct cell number). About 3 weeks after purchasing my car, I did have a very simple general question, so I left a message on the salesperson's cell....but never got a call back. To sum up: Under normal circumstances I would have rated this dealership 1 Star....but in this terrible car market (where many car dealerships are charging anywhere from $6,000 to $40,000+ over MSRP list price), Findlay is better than most when it comes to price....which is why I gave them 3 Stars. read more

Was happy with my 2016 Kia Soul...until I tried to load SiriusXM satellite radio in my car. It would not work, and after a visit to the service department, I was told there was a problem with the internal hardware, and I would have to pay $900 (!!) for a replacement radio. Was able to find a place that would install a radio for me, but that will cost over $600 and I can't get installed for two more weeks! Would have been nice to get a car with a radio that worked and I didn't have to pay out of pocket for. Otherwise, my Kia Soul runs just fine. read more

Bought a New Kia Sportage In February 2025, initially the purchase was pleasant, in part because our son was employed at the dealership, however after the sale was completed, the process took an unfortunate turn. Had so much trouble registering the vehicle in California, and it all had to to with Hillary the person who takes care of the registration, unfortunately we spoke only once, she never returned any phone calls, even though she told people that she did, she only corresponded thru text, the correct paper work was not received at the Dmv, we had to go back 4 times, each time we waited 2 hours, and were told documentation was not received, the delay and miscommunication created an incredibly stressful situation for my husband and I especially given that we are both disabled and rely on our vehicle for transportation. Hillary learn your job correctly, so that no other customers face the same issues, I would not recommend Findlay Kia based on this experience. read more

The worst Kia dealership I've worked with. My car is under warranty and they try to charge me every single time I bring it in. They do not want to honor the warranty. Over charge for everything, man-splain all the work my car needs. I went in ti get the latch fixed on my trunk. A very simple, cosmetic fix. They tried to charge me $90 to run a diagnostic test!! When the problem was visible!! Customer service is horrible: they don't answer the phone, don't give updates on your car, rude and disrespectful. read more

I took my car in to the service department to have a sensor looked at. They sent me home twice without doing anything. The third time I took it in they sent me home with a dead battery a problem I've never had before and wasn't the reason it was in the shop). When my car died on the side of the road I called to see if they could come and jump my car, Alec from the service department told me it's not their fault and I have to deal with it myself. Prior to purchasing a 1 year old Kia Forte, I was advised by the seller to go in to Findlay Kia--where the vehicle was being serviced--to test drive the vehicle. I met with Service Rep Ron Edwards and asked him about what I believed to be a balance of a 100K/10yr warranty on the vehicle. He told me and my wife it was actually the balance of a 60k/5yr warranty as a 2nd owner. I then asked Ron if the prior accident (maintaining a clear, not a salvage, title) had any impact on the warranty, and he informed us it DID NOT. My wife and I returned to Findlay Kia to purchase the car from the seller. Prior to purchase, my wife and I again asked Ron for the details about the warranty, and asked him again if the prior accident had any impact on the warranty. He told us it did not, and proceeded to print out a warranty summary for the vehicle (which had the VIN number and date of warranty activation) and explained to us from this sheet all of the components that were covered, and for what remaining period. Based on Edwards' representation, we bought the car, requiring a warranty for my daughter. A month later, the car broke down while my daughter was driving it. Kia roadside assistance towed it into Findlay. I called Ron Edwards to ask him what was wrong with it and he said Kia wasn't covering the repairs because it was a result of a prior accident. I confronted him about his prior representations to me prior to purchasing the car. He told me to take it up with Kia. I then called Jeff Hafen, Service Manager, and explained the aforementioned. Jeff smugly told me he "wasn't responsible for Kia's warranty policies" and to take it up with Kia. I told him he was, in fact, responsible for the representations of Ron Edwards prior to our purchase. I then called and spoke with Findlay Kia GM Dave Distul to explain the situation to him. Not only did Distul parrot the same talking points as Hafen, he then proceeded to scold me, asking me why I would buy a used Kia from another dealer and not a CPO from Findlay Kia. That was a smug and unprofessional comment from a GM. The used car dealer I bought the car from called Ron Edwards to help assist in resolving the matter, and asked him for information about what was wrong with the car, to which Edwards said he would not give them any information about the car and that the car needed to be towed away. I then sent an email to owner, Cliff Findlay, explaining all of the above, asking for his assistance. I received a call from GM Dave Distul the next day telling me they were going to do nothing with the car and that I should just go ahead and sue them. Distul then made false claims about how much they would have helped me if I didn't send emails to Cliff Findlay. I informed Distul of his misrepresentations and that I was trying to reason with them and avoid litigation. The next day I spoke with Jeff Hafen, who agreed to talk with GM Distul about doing some service work on the car to at least get it operable. He called back, said he spoke with Distul, who said they would be replacing the a critical part to get the car running. The next day, however, I received a call from Hafen, who told me the damage from the accident was far more extensive, claiming parts were "smashed into the engine block" and "melted against the engine block," requiring an expensive main engine harness, etc. All untrue and exaggerated! I asked him to send me an estimate on the repairs needed and he said he wouldn't do that, and that I needed to get the car towed from Kia. I called Kia corporate to inform them of the misrepresentations and jerk around I got from Findlay Kia, as well as their constantly changing position on what they would cover under warranty and what they would not. I called Hafen back and informed him I was negotiating with the seller to either buy the car back or to cover all of the repairs related to the damage. I then asked Hafen if, after all of the repairs from the prior accident were done, if I was good to go with the balance of the Kia warranty, and Hafen said that I was still covered under the balance of the Kia warranty. Once again relying on the prior representations of Findlay Kia and Hafen, I told the seller to pick up the car from Kia and perform the repairs. Hafen then sent me a list of the needed repairs in an email. After picking up the car, I received a call from the seller, informing me of the misrepresentations made by Hafen and Findlay Kia about the extent of damages, with all of their fabricated & embellished problems that were no where near as serious or extensive as Hafen claimed. I called Kia corporate to file a complaint, and was told Hafen replied that Findlay Kia would not be performing any future service or warranty work and to take it 4 hours to SLC or 2 hours to Vegas. Cowardice and dishonesty describe Distul, Hafen, Edwards and Cliff Findlay himself. All of the KIA service horror stories are true, and Findlay is an infamous example. read more

I had a safety recall and both Sean and David offered to come pick up my car so I would not be inconvenienced. Koa was the service rep who greeted me when I did bring in my Kia for the recall and answered most of my questions. He then brought Dan a sales rep over to answer the remainder of my questions. We have been trying to purchase a Kia Sorento PHEV for over a year and finally found it online at Findlay Kia! It was exactly what we were looking for so we put down the deposit and waited for it to be delivered. This could have been treated as a slam dunk -- done deal -- by Kia, but our salesman, Dan, went above and beyond in making sure we were apprised every step of the way on the status and estimated delivery date. When it arrived at the dealership, we scheduled an appointment and made the trip (we live near Salt Lake City). Dan spent hours with us, going over all the new high-tech features and helped set it all up so we were good to roll. The sales staff in general at Findlay were amazing, making sure we had drinks and snacks. There was some residue from the shipping wrapping left on one of the doors and Dan snagged Brandon from service who made sure it was taken care of and looking perfect for us to drive it off the lot. We highly recommend Findlay as a dealership and will certainly consider them again when buying our next car -- long distance notwithstanding! My husband gave the sales person all his information and when the salesman came back he said I'm sorry, but I have an interested buyer, even though there was a few cars of the same model. I wish I could leave 0 stars. We were on a road trip and our engine light came on. Apparently we had an engine recall on our 2018 Kia Optima, that they never told us about, so the engine light turned on while we were trying to drive home. Ron, the manager of the services department was awful. He told us he couldn't help us for two days because there were 4 cars ahead of us. He ran the code on the car, turned off the engine light and told us to go. We drove down the street, still not able to go above 40 mph and the car was noticeably unstable. We had wait an hour for the Kia customer service line and at least they were able to somewhat help us. We've been stranded here for a day and we now have to travel from Saint George to Las Vegas by Uber and have a tow truck get the car. Thank god Jim Marsh Kia is trying to help us in Vegas. The Vegas Kia was disgusted with the way we've been treated. Saint George Kia was so awful to us and they were negligent. The other deal ships around here were even trying to help us and they were 100x better than Kia. Goodbye to this Kia Optima when we get home. Kia needs some serious help. read more

This dealership is the best we've ever dealt with! I recently purchased a 2018 Kia Soul EV from them and just had my first oil change. The service people there are great! They inspected my entire car as well as performed the oil change. All is good. I had a 2016 Kia Soul when we moved to St. George and had oil changes at regular intervals and was very pleased with the service department. They are friendly, prompt and efficient! Another awesome experience at Findlay Kia. I had my Kia Cadenza in to have some warranty work done with my middle console as some of the chrome was peeling off and a potential cut hazard. That was a breeze of a process to handle. I went to get my keys and check out and started asking what I should do about some chrome work that was peeling on one of my rims (watch those dang track pulled car washes!!). Before I even finished asking they said they saw it and had taken pictures and sent a request to have it done under warranty. Even if I hadn't noticed it they were on the ball and taking care of me. I am 65 years old and have purchased, and sold, many vehicles in my lifetime. Due to a number of negative experiences, I have learned to stay away from and shun dealers in general. Findlay Kia had a car that my wife was interested in though. So, of course, I had to at least attempt to see if it was going to be possible to work with them. Kailee was receptive, understanding, and surprisingly accommodating to work with. Brandon picked up after hours where Kailee wasn't available with superb service and follow through. They both went over and beyond what I had expected, from the preparation of the transaction, and the vehicle, to its conclusion. Every concern or question I had was eagerly addressed. You should also know that since we live in SLC, and this was a long-distance purchase in St. George, all communication was predominantly accomplished through text and email, and some phone conversation. I went in for a recall repair. The person who helped me was very friendly and the repair was done quickly.

Okay, so this is about their service department. I took our kia van in to have a tire pressure monitor (TPM) replaced that had been broken when getting new tires from another location. I also wanted an extra key. The tire company was going to pay for the tire pressure monitor that they'd broken. My first issue is that Kia's service department said they fixed it and within 5 minutes of driving off the lot, the TPM turned on again. The second is that the key would turn, but wouldn't work in the ignition. Then they billed me for both and the tire company for the TPM service. Come to find out, they had only erased the error code on the TPM and hadn't recalibrated anything like they were supposed to. ($70 to clear a code?) Then they refused to reimburse me for the cost of the service or the defective key, which was like another $40. I won't ever use their service department again. If you do, beware of their unethical practices. I'm a fair guy on reviews- look at my other reviews. I'm not a negative person at all, but I really hate being taken advantage of. read more
