Back in Vegas they would always bring me alarming quotes of $5-7k of repairs I couldn't see or even understand making me feel like my car was going to break down if I didn't make the repairs (this was before my car hit 60k miles). I would have given this place a 6 stars if I could. Our Subaru Forester broke down on a cross-country road trip near St. George. Upon suggestion from a local auto repair shop, we took it to Subaru Findlay so they could contact the manufacturer on our behalf. Our whole family including the 2 kids ended up staying over there for couple of hours while we were stuck here. The staffs were extremely friendly and understanding. What especially moved us was that the GM here Curtis came over and spoke to us about the incidence after he heard about our situation from another staff. He introduced us to Jim the service manager who gave us a lot of useful tips in dealing with and soliciting help directly with the manufacturer. And we received a free loaner car courtesy of the Subaru dealership for the next few days so we visited some state and national parks that weren't on our travel schedule before. We ended up leaving the broken car with them and flew over to our original destination. Once fixed, we made arrangement to ship the car over to our new house with their help. This was one of the worst experience we ever had, but the staffs at Findlay Subaru made it much better by showing their welcome and hospitality for us total strangers. For that, I am eternally grateful and will definitely do the same for people in dire needs in the future. I like coming to this dealership to get my 2019 Subaru Outback serviced. The people here are friendly. I love how they give you a voucher for a free carwash after your car is serviced, though I didn't get one last time I visited. I just got my oil changed here a couple days ago and they recommended that I get new tires because the tread was worn and cracked. The guy gave me a quote for two types of tires that I could get there. My husband and I decided to order our own and go to Discount Tire to get them installed, but the guy at the dealership gave me some really good, sound advice on which tires I should get. read more

Our experience with Findlay, Suburu ,St. George has been extremely satisfactory since we bought our first Suburu Outback from them in 2018 .Friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go more than the extra mile to keep their customers happy. Three cars, {the latest, a used one} later and we found ourselves in a sticky predicament after only 2 days of driving .We had purchased a wrap around, unlimited mileage warranty on the used car as it was sold "AS IS". We are in our 80's, and although still capable of some repairs, we wanted to avoid any major problems. The warranty people refused to service the issue, because they said it was pre-existing condition. Findlay stepped in, TOTALLY took care of us, lending us a new Forester to drive while THEY were ordering a transmission and installing it with their labor, and at their expense...now, the REST OF THE STORY. That transmission lasted two days{ evidently it was a BAD year for that car, a Buick}! Findlay again stepped in, lending us another new car to drive while searching for another transmission. This took several weeks, during which they would call us and make sure we were ok. Long story I know. The search was unsuccessful, they let us out of the deal, ate the expense and labor, and of course we bought another car from them! Everyone from Kelli at the front desk, to Jim, service manager to Greg, service writer, to Carson our fav salesman and all those in between have been gracious, kind, and patient in dealing with us and our two pooches !We highly recommend Findlay Suburu ,St George.They are the BEST !!! read more

I had an appointment at 10 AM. Standing in line at 950 AM the dealership took 3 customers without an appointment before my car. it is 10:27 all the other customer's cars are in the bay. My car is still sitting outside waiting to be worked on. I always get a loner but not today because walk ins get the extra service. So, walk on in don't make an appointment or be good to the guys (I bring them cookies ands cinnamon rolls from Muddy Bee) you aren't valued if you are nice or schedule like a good customer. We're actually from California. We came to Utah for our honeymoon but a series of unfortunate events transpired. First, issue was our 2018 Crosstrek's gas cap. It was tightly sealed after refueling so the check engine light went on and the RAB and eyesight assist got turned off. Turns out you have to make sure that when you close the gas cap you have to make sure you hear 5 clicks to know it's sealed tight. They restarted the our car's system, and we were all set. The check engine light was gone and the RAB and eyesight assist went back on. They didn't charge us. Second day of our stay, we got a flat tire (TWO flat tires)! We came back and they recognized us. They told us they can get our tires fixed in an hour and a half and guess what? They fixed it within the time frame they gave us! They didn't charge us again! So thank you to all the staff who assisted us! Despite all the hiccups we had on our honeymoon, the kindness and generosity we received from Subaru's staff was amazing. They truly live up to their Subaru "Love" campaign! read more

On a road trip to from Ventura County to Salt Lake City when several lights on the dashboard lit up and the AC stopped in 120 degree temperature. We called Findlay Subaru. Their service representative, Cameron was very helpful. His calm approach eased our panic. He told us to bring our car in and assisted us as soon as we arrived. I visited Findlay's service department for a routine service on my 2019 Crosstrek on 6/17/2020 and was left a bit worried that all of the employees were not taking any measures to keep their customers safe amid this COVID-19 pandemic. I called ahead to ask what kind of precautions they were taking to keep us safe and was told they would wipe down my car and keys before returning my car to me after it was serviced. I am very sad to report that they did not do so. My car was not wiped cleaned after the service personnel touched my car, my keys were just handed to me over the counter without being cleaned at all. NONE of the employees were wearing any masks, gloves or cleaning their hands between customers VERY DISAPPOINTING to see that a well known and highly visited dealer wouldn't take care of its customers AT ALL . I saw a service member jump from one car to my car without cleaning his hands very scary. I had to clean my car before entering it, thankfully I anticipated that they wouldn't sanitized my car so I brought supplies from home. I know my car and I am 100% sure my car was not cleaned or sanitized after a mechanic drove my car. If you are going to bring your car for service make sure you bring sanitizing supplies because they won't take care of you, also make sure you bring a mask because none of them are wearing one. I bought my Subaru here, and I continue to come here for my service needs. I have to say, I have never enjoyed a dealership environment the way I enjoy Findlay. And I never feel anxiety getting work done on my car here, as I've felt at other places. The service department is superb. I recently brought my car in for a noise that ended up relating to a warranty issue, and Chad Roberts was amazing. Not only did I have exactly what I needed and was communicated with honestly, but he kept me up to date throughout the entire time. I was passing through town on a cross-country road trip. My 2017 Crosstrek happened to be due for it's 30k service, so I stopped in without an appointment to see what they could do. Greg got me in immediately, and in addition to the service, informed me about the brake switch recall, and took care of it. Noticing unusual tire wear, they performed an alignment free of charge. They fixed me up real quick, and I continued on my long trip knowing my car is good to go. The customer service was exemplary. Much better than my hometown dealership. So, I wasn't going to say anything, but now I feel compelled. A couple months ago I took my Outback in for a rattle somewhere in the headliner above the driver's head. After a couple days they said that it was too hard to find. They would have to remove the whole headliner to find and fix and that would cost a minimum of about $600 with no guarantee they'd find the problem. I took it home and within 30 minutes found and fixed the problem by only opening one little side of the headliner. Today, I called about another small rattle and the service tech had a real condescending and dismissive manner and basically didn't seem to interested in helping. So again, I'm going to handle it on my own. I don't get it; I know rattles are difficult to sort out, but sheesh, do your job. read more

My wife traded her Honda Civic in for a Forester, as part of our move to a snowy climate. The deal was already setup, remotely. For the most part it was seamless. We had an appointment and they were ready for us to test drive and purchase when we showed up. There was an issue with the paperwork that we had to make a trip back the day after buying the car. A bit irritating, but they took care of it immediately without hassle. Just had the second service performed today and checked the oil to be safe before starting the 45 mile drive back home. Oil level right on the full dot, not overfilled by half a quart as seems to be normal where we've had service at other dealers in the past. No dirty finger prints, boot prints, etc. I was a bit worried that they don't take appointments on Saturday for an oil change, but it wasn't an issue. In and out, no big deal. Bagels and fruit, coffee, soda while we waited. Overall a classy outfit. They have treated us with respect and I can see why they have unusually high reviews for a car dealership. Purchased a used 2017 Hyundai Accent on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Failed to verify that the car had a spare (or tire mobility system), tire jack or lug wrench, which the car did not have. PURCHASE EXPERIENCE Having never owned a Subaru but knowing many friends who have, I opted to take advantage of a promotional opportunity that was running at the time. I reached out to Findlay Subaru online and I was a bit shocked at how quickly I was contacted by them! Literally minutes after submitted my web desire to test drive a new Subaru, my home phone rang! I communicated with Debbie, who was extremely friendly and helpful. I planned on making the trip to St. George the following day. Debbie told me to contact Ben upon my arrival. Once arriving at Findlay Subaru, I was greeted at the lot within a few minutes of arrival. I asked for Ben and within a few minutes, Ben and I were discussing the vehicles on the lot. I had a few in mind but one caught my eye. We focused our discussion on that one vehicle and I was doing a test drive of my first Subaru 15 minutes later. Ben was very helpful and explained many of the features and technology that was incorporated into the vehicle I drove. I was impressed with the drive and once we arrived back to the lot, the negotiations began. I had a trade and I was waiting to see what the offer was for my trade. Now, I've purchased vehicles for years but this was the first time that the initial offer for my trade was in the ballpark of what I wanted! I armed myself with KBB's value analysis of my car prior to going and they were about $500.00 off the average trade-in value of my car. Ben and I continued to talk and it was only a short time later and few perks or upgrades thrown into the mix by Ben, that I was ready to sign on the dotted line. Probably the least painful purchase experience I've ever had! After sealing the deal, it was off to financing while they prepped my vehicle. Dealing with Brody was just as pleasurable. Financing was secured in less than 10 minutes. It took longer to sign the papers and go over all the paperwork. Everything was well explained and I got copies of everything. Once the deal was done, it was onto the orientation part of my purchase. My orientation was with Taylor and he was very professional and went over most parts of the vehicle and answered all my questions. I knew I would be coming back (getting my tags and do a follow-up orientation) so I would have another opportunity to meet with him (at his request, too). Once that was completed, I was driving off the lot with my new vehicle. In conclusion, I was extremely happy with all aspects of my purchase. I went there to do a test drive and collect a $25.00 gift card. I ended up walking away with a new rig and the $25.00 gift card (came a few days later)! It all happened before I knew it. Smooth Findlay, smooth! :-) If I had to be critical about any one thing when my rig was detailed/prepped they went a bit heavy on the interior shine/lube! With touchscreen technology, it really did not need the film of slick stuff on the screen. The steering wheel needs to be avoided with the interior prep stuff as it was very slick, too. My hands felt greasy driving home from the dealership. The HOT temps did not help. Also, there were a few areas that were not totally wiped off on the exterior so there were a few streaks from the quick prep. Again, that's being extremely critical! I would have rather had another free water and had it spotless. Since it was the weekend when I purchased my vehicle, I was not able to meet the Service Manager of those folks. The dealership was also in the process of moving into their new building, so I'm looking forward to my first service (I will review) and seeing how that entire process goes. If it's anything like my purchase experience, I'll be totally pleased! I think a few folks we dealt with were moving to other promotional positions within the dealership but everyone was awesome! Again, I would rate this as the best purchase experience I've had and it was really "Hassle-Free" from my perspective. I'd highly recommend Findlay to my friends, co-workers and family in regards to a great purchase experience. Well worth my 2 hour drive. read more

RIPPED OFF - JIM IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY RUDE I came from Salt Lake City on a trip to St. George and had an AT OIL TEMP issue. I asked the service team to find the root cause of this issue. They informed me I needed a new radiator. After paying for that, I hit the road back up to Salt Lake only to find that my car was still having the same issue. I pulled over to a mechanic in Beaver and he noticed I had no coolant or other fluids. I could have ruined my new radiator. The mechanic in Beaver topped off my fluids and I had zero issues the rest of the way home. That made me wonder if I ever needed a new radiator at all or just fluids. I called to ask the service team why I had no coolant, left a voicemail, and did not get a call back. I then called the customer service team and spoke with Jim. Jim was nothing but rude and ultimately hung up on me after saying he needs to deal with customers and close up shop. I tried to explain my frustration and he kept cutting me off to go "help other customers". I was calm and collected yet frustrated trying to figure out if I was taken advantage of. He was immediately defensive and cut me off to tell me he was an expert and he didn't want to deal with this because it was the end of the day and he has other customers. He put me on hold multiple times to deal with other customers. I asked him to finish talking to me, because I am also a customer, a paying customer who wanted answers. He told me to stop yelling at him (which I wasn't) and asked what I wanted. I said a refund. He mentioned he could give some money back but again said "I have to go deal with customers and close up shop, think about it overnight and call in the morning", then hung up. His dismissive and defensive behavior only fuels my theory I am being taken advantage of. He kept cutting me off and didn't once give me full attention. This is the customer service team acting this way and treating a customer with no respect. Don't trust their word. I have no reason to believe they have anyone 's best interest at hand when they lied to me, wouldn't return my calls and wouldn't even hear me out. Jim acted defensive and his solution is to hang up because he didn't want to do his job. Pathetic and unprofessional. Don't waste your money on parts you may or may not need. read more
