I don't take good care of my car. I don't. So, imagine my surprise when the check engine light went on & the car died. Being a newish member of the community, I didn't have a mechanic. I have driven by Specialties a million times & I saw they do service on a variety of autos (I have a 2005 Mini). I took it in & they found all sorts of stuff under the hood that needed attention. Apparently, a previous mechanic-type had not disclosed the problems I had with the car. The service took longer than we all anticipated, but the Specialties folks stayed on top of it, gave me updates & took very good care of my car. Cameron kept me informed, explaining how things work in a manner that I could understand. I am so impressed with these folks! They were nice! But I had to wait forever for my car to be fixed. They said they would call to update me on my car, but they never did so I kept on having to call. They kept on having days off, so it took awhile for them to finish. They would look at it for one day and then have appointments scheduled for the rest of the week, and so then they weren't able to look at my car till the following week. It was there for a month. But each week they would say it would be done that week. Wish they would've been honest and just said it would be done in like 2-3 weeks. Instead of telling us each week it might be done. I own a 2017 Jaguar F-Pace, I spent nearly six months trying to get the Check Engine light turned off after having my car serviced at Specialties Automotive Group. Several weeks after having my routine 40k serice performed--my first interaction with SAG's service department--the check engine light came on. I will spare you, the reader, all the excruciating details. The bottom line is that after five months, 25+ visits to drop off and pick up my vehicle (and all the associated wasted time and ride catching), and over $2000 and expenses, I gave up. I made an appointment with the Jaguar dealer in Las Vegas. Dropped off the car, and the next day I picked it up, problem resolved. I received a clear, concise explanation of the problem, shown the parts that were replaced (which never happened at SAG), and sent on my way. I have paperwork and calendar entries that support my story. The process of dealing with SAG can be best described as hellish. After the repairs were completed by the dealer, I reached out to SAG's general manager. My request was a 50% refund of the money I paid. After some back and forth by phone and email over a period of weeks, I was told that a partial refund was not possible because the store would be "losing money." I declined an offer of a discount on the purchase of an e-bike from SAG's related store. In short, I will never again do business with Specialties Automotive Group, and I would encourage any European car owner to look elsewhere to have their care service properly by an organization that values its clients properly. read more

A bit late in the game for my first time attempt to buy a car from a dealership... of course there are certain processes you have to go through in acquiring a car from a dealership, which I wasn't fully prepared for. That side of Specialties Automotive Group was good, I believe the owner (Jared) was there still helping set up shop as the dealership in St. George was still in it's infancy at the time. Both TJ and Jared are good guys, easy to work with... TJ was still getting his bearings but super nice guys all around. The end result is why I have to down mark this review, when all things are said and done it is still just a dealership and all they want to do is sell you a car, which they did sell me a car I immediately fell in love with albeit with very little warning as to the ultimate cost of ownership of a high end car and how unaffordable it can truly make them. This of course is not their problem, it is yours so please heed my lessons learned in buying what at one point was a great poster car for you when you were young that seems relatively affordable. There is always the possibility of the faint hint of citrus if you don't do your homework carefully enough and if you don't pick up on that lemony freshness it will bite you... hard. A lot of this review breaks down to me just really not doing my homework but ultimately I was not satisfied with the product I was sold, is what it boils down to, the rest is my own fault of ill-prepared car buyer awareness which is why I am still giving two stars at least. Experience, great! Customer Service, Straight forward and friendly End product, Not so good... car has had big problems and cost an arm and a leg but that is what happens when you buy a relatively high mileage sports car "as is" with no incite from the guys that deal with them every day. Having vehicle trouble is never a good thing, but having trouble when you're on the road is the worst. Kyle saved the day for us. I was traveling from Laughlin to Salt Lake on a Sunday and had a pretty serious radiator leak the whole way. I stayed the night in St George and called these guys first thing Monday morning. When I got there we figured out really quick it was a bust bleed screw, and they got it out and replaced within 5 minutes and had me back on the road. I havent had a problem since leaving! They were extremely helpful and so so nice! I would recommend these guys in a heart beat! I only wish they were in SLC where I live! read more

Moved to St George recently and was worried about finding a good mechanic who I could trust with our older Jag and Porsche. I found Specialties to be more knowledgeable than the Porsche dealer who couldn't identify my issue and whose only solution was to replace a lot of stuff. Specialties immediately understood the issue and had a cost-effective solution. They have vendors who can rebuild expensive Jag and Porsche components, saving $$$. Dishonest, terrible service, poor customer service, no accountability. We were felt at blame for something THEY damaged while servicing our car. Got tired of hearing how put out they felt by their own mistake. What? I won't bother with details as they clearly won't do anything to rectify the situation. We will never go there again. Great selection, nice lot, on site mechanics, and they have a much larger online inventory to choose from up in Northern Utah if they don't have what you are looking for on the St. George lot. I have used Specialties Auto for several years, since they first opened here (have one in Bountiful). Always gotten great service, including tracking down difficult electrical problems with our used cars. My latest experience was on 11/24/2015, when I had a power window regulator replaced on my BMW. They'd done the work before, in July 2015, and it failed (wasn't OEM with my agreement). Since it was viewed by them as still under warranty, they replaced it with no charge to me, for either parts or labor. I even offered to pay the difference in parts costs, and they declined. This place is FAR from professional. Me and my husband came here to buy a car (and because of their past shady financial history) we had to go to a different bank for the loan. But that's not the problem. We got all the paperwork from them and had to complete the loan and get the car the next day because we both had work. It just so happens though, they called us that morning to tell us they sold the car we had told them we WERE BUYING. They tried to offer older or worse cars to us instead. That is totally unprofessional of a person to do, let alone a dealer. I'm never coming here again and making sure my friends and family don't either. read more

This is my first time writing a review - and I wished it was for a positive reason. First and foremost, I would've only given one star. However, I have had a semi-good experience in the past with this repair shop and I will give my token additional star. It all started when my car went into "alarm" mode. I could not get the high pitched sound to stop. So I attempted to get on bluff street (through construction) all the while people thought I was laying on my horn. It was raining and my windshield wipers were frozen up as well as signal lights. I was beside myself and tried to hurry to get to their shop. When I arrived, I explained the problem and the front office manager just looked at me and said, "And what do you want me to do about it?" Ummm, Schedule me for a repair or help me turn off the noise maybe? I explained there was a SRS code, and he said it was just my airbag. So, why is it making that terrible noise and the control panel isn't working. He then said he didn't know and couldn't do anything about it! I was willing to bring it back if needed, I just was helpless at the moment and received no professionalism. It's too bad one of his best employees wasn't there to cover for his lack of work ethic and consideration. Luckily, I found a wonderful German Motor repair shop who not only was considerate, but exhibited quality work and in a timely manner. (And found out it wasn't the airbag). Water had leaked in the soundboard and damaged the electrical. The last repair I had from specialties was where the water had leaked in because it wasn't put back together properly. This mishap cost me $1008. Beware so the same doesn't happen to you! read more
