We enjoyed a top notch experience here for custom framing from start, assistance choosing the right frame stock, to expertly framed finish for a mismatched but related (same artist) trio of spendy prints that needed to work as grouping on a living room wall. Our interior designer stepped in, when I found myself completely 'out of gas' after selecting the prints for her to source, to recommend Finer Frames to do the work because she knew they did great work and with good turnaround times too. Right on all counts! We have a lot of custom framed art in our home, collected by working with framing galleries over the last 40 years as we moved around, and so I very much appreciated that the gallery owner, Meg, who was also the framer for our prints approached it with the eye of an artist, which she also is. Her frame stock recommendation resulted in the perfect choice. The work was expertly done and the turnaround time was excellent too. We have used a couple of other framing galleries in the area over the last seven years, we have been happy with both businesses for their strengths but also knowing their weaknesses we chose one or the other depending on the project. But Finer Frames will now be our one and only choice going forward for any project. VIBE: If you're like my husband and me who love both galleries and looking at framing materials, this will be a veritable candy land of options to consider. Also, the vibe inside was all "chillax" with jazz on the sound system and ample space in between items to look about. I said, and I'm not kidding, that depending on time of day I'd like to linger with cup of coffee or glass of wine in hand and soak it all in for an extended time. LOCATION: Downtown Eagle located and while parking there can be difficult, Finer has the advantage of their own small parking lot. ACCESSIBILITY: One ADA parking (van access compliant) spot right outside the side entry door which is level into the all one one floor space with ample room to maneuver. As a customer with multiple sclerosis, which I've had since college years, I notice when a business does a good job of making it accessible like this. Stopped by to see if I could buy some wire to hang a new large piece of fine art I recently bought. I was expecting to just buy some wire and be on my way, but Meg, the owner said to me, "Do you have it with you?" I had it in my truck, so I ran it in and she said she was just going to hurry and add some stronger hardware for me and strung new wire for hanging. So nice of her to stop everything to help. She also pointed out some things that need attention on my frame, as this is an older, large painting and gave me a very reasonable quote to restore this frame. Really friendly people and you can tell they know what they are talking about. In addition to that, when I tried to pay, she informed me that she won't be charging me. Just asked that we just return when we have some framing needs. They will get all of my business. read more

I wanted custom frames for my grandchildren with their names matted within the frames. I only asked for my four grands when I went the first time. I was so pleased I took my husband's grands in to be done as well leaving one of the first four I had done so they could match. When I went to pick up the second set I noticed the lettering was different and would not match the first set on my wall. I hate to be difficult.... But since I was paying for custom work I felt the mats needed to be redone. Meg was gracious when she saw they did not match. With no hemming or hawing she said they would make it right. I took 3 large prints here to be framed. I also brought in a large oil painting which I damaged in a recent move. They framed the prints beautifully, with anti-glare glass. Really professional and they wrapped them all for safe passage back to my house. The magicians at Finer Frames "fixed' my painting. They got the crease out and actually touched up the oil paint where the crease showed on the front...AMAZING! Nice people to work with too. If you visit, check out the paintings they have for sale on their walls. Some really nice landscapes (and other subjects) that are framed gorgeously - at reasonable prices too. My Wife and I needed a wedding portrait repaired that was to gift for a family member. The tear was a sizable 5 inches or so and we thought the painting was ruined. We had searched to find art restoration in our area as to not send out of state just for an appraisal. We brought this in to Meg, she and her team were so polite and accommodating. They were able to turn around the repair in no time and the results were fantastic. You really couldn't tell it was damaged from anything but the closest inspection. I recently reached out to this business after visiting several photo shops looking for help with a precious picture of my son. I hada picture of my now 30 year old son when he was 2 in a frame that had adhered itself to the glass. I contacted them through their website and was promptly helped.
