We enjoyed a top notch experience here for custom framing from start, assistance choosing the right…read moreframe stock, to expertly framed finish for a mismatched but related (same artist) trio of spendy prints that needed to work as grouping on a living room wall. Our interior designer stepped in, when I found myself completely 'out of gas' after selecting the prints for her to source, to recommend Finer Frames to do the work because she knew they did great work and with good turnaround times too. Right on all counts! We have a lot of custom framed art in our home, collected by working with framing galleries over the last 40 years as we moved around, and so I very much appreciated that the gallery owner, Meg, who was also the framer for our prints approached it with the eye of an artist, which she also is. Her frame stock recommendation resulted in the perfect choice. The work was expertly done and the turnaround time was excellent too. We have used a couple of other framing galleries in the area over the last seven years, we have been happy with both businesses for their strengths but also knowing their weaknesses we chose one or the other depending on the project. But Finer Frames will now be our one and only choice going forward for any project. VIBE: If you're like my husband and me who love both galleries and looking at framing materials, this will be a veritable candy land of options to consider. Also, the vibe inside was all "chillax" with jazz on the sound system and ample space in between items to look about. During my visit, I found high-quality model kits, including a Huey gunship helicopter and a 1979 Pontiac Firebird. Their selection of specialty crafts is also excellent. I was able to pick up a stained glass kit and a soldering iron for a new project. Additionally, I found the perfect picture frame to display a concert photo. The staff was helpful, and the checkout process was smooth. This is my go-to spot for model building and DIY projects in the Meridian area. Highly recommended!

After we got in line to check out, my son got upset because, well...he's 2, and the manager or whoever he was, came up to us like something was wrong. As I'm struggling to hold my 40lb 2yr old to comfort him, the guy asked if he was mad about something or was hurt. I already had judgy eyes on me and whispering from other customers and this guy furthered my embarrassment by doing this. I'm sure he was trying to be helpful but it didn't make me feel better when he drew more attention to an already embarrassing situation. Honestly, I don't think we'll go back just after this experience.
