I am sure this is an amazing experience. Unfortunately we will never know. I had booked the Fondue…read moreexperience as an early Valentine's dinner for my wife and myself since we were going to be traveling for work over Valentine's weekend. The morning of our booking I had a medical emergency (which we were able to verify to Skuna) so we called about six hours before our tour to ask if we could reschedule for another day. We understood this was incredibly short notice, so we didn't expect a refund or even a full credit. We asked if since the food would obviously not be prepared could we at least have a credit for the food portion if not the tour time. The answer was a fairly insensitive no, and were told the manager said they can't do anything with a same day cancel. Of course, we understood the uniqueness of the situation and had it not been due to a legitimate medical issue we never would have asked. However, the staff we spoke to didn't even show concern for the situation. We had to cancel drinks and bites at Bokan as well for after our tour and the staff there said no problem, they showed concern, and wished us well. Understanding that policies are in place we sent an email the next day. Eight days later we have only received an automated reply stating that our email was received. This is an experience we've wanted to have since moving to London three years ago, but sadly we just aren't interested in giving more money to a company that has this little care for their customers.

This was it! Josh was amazing. Water was warm, boat was clean and easy to 'drive'. Definitely worth the money, and no one else I know has been on a hot tub boat! So if you want something away from the crowds, in a great area for lunch or dinner too, give this a try. Easy to get to from anywhere.

Did the Harry Potter tour and Essential London tours during my stay in London. Both our guides,…read moreJamie and Sam, were informative and entertaining. I wouldn't say that the itineraries are anything out of the ordinary (it's stops you could plan out yourself with research), but it was a good experience to go with an organized group tour. Both tours started/ended on time and booking was seamless. The tours, as others have noted, are pay-what-you-will, so it's up to you what you want to pay (I paid 10 pounds each). They do accept card payment, but cash seems to be preferred.

I'm a big fan of free walking tours whenever I travel, and Strawberry Tours was a great find. I did…read morethe East tour and the West tour, both with Adam. He was so knowledgeable about the city, both in its history and culture! I especially loved his quirky stories, like about the executions that happened at the Tower of London and the dog buried by some politician and why. Now that I'm reading the reviews, I'm seeing a lot more options than were originally advertised in the brochure I got from my hostel, and I wish I'd known about them, as they all sound interesting and thorough! However, I do think the East and West tours are a great starting point and foundation into learning about the city if you're new to it. Look up their offerings on their website! The East tour I did covered St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London, The Monument, Leadenhall Market, Bank of England, Lloyd Building, Royal Courts of Justice, and Temple Church. The West tour covered Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace (from far away), St. James' Palace, Leicester Square (meeting point), 10 Downing Street, and the Horse Guards Parade. We were supposed to walk by the Churchill War Rooms, Trafalgar Square, and the National Gallery, but those were missed. And FYI, Big Ben is covered with scaffolding for the next year and a half for renovations, so you won't be seeing that, which was a bummer. The people on the tours themselves seemed to keep to themselves, so they weren't very social, probably because they're just quick day happenings. Regardless, look up Strawberry Tours when in London if you have a couple hours and are up to to walk around.

In Britain, I used them successfully again, for a way to highlight London's must-see spaces without having to step inside each royal edifice. Fat Tire Tours offers a variety of guided bike tours of London and I opted for their 4-hour Royal London Tour. It showed me exactly as much as I cared to see of Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, and the rest without the tedium of traipsing from room to room inside each structure. The guide, making frequent stops along the busy route, relayed informative and anecdotal information and kept things moving at a snappy pace. Halfway through the tour, a 30-minute lunch/bathroom break at Trafalgar Square is a welcome diversion then it's back on the bikes for a bit more of the same. Fat Tire Tours is a sane and enjoyable way to see things in London and I can pretty much guarantee that you'll have more fun biking to London's sites than walking slowly through them with an audio-guide. The fact that I'm a repeat customer with Fat Tire Tours should speak for itself. In case it doesn't, here's some other details to help convince you: * Access their web site and fail to purchase and when you next access it (or before) you'll get a discount code. That discount meant that my 4-hour tour was under $30US per person. Good value. * Tours can be canceled for full refund up to 72 hours in advance. Why not book it just in case? * Tours aren't canceled for rain but FTT does have rain ponchos you can rent for $1. * 3-speed bikes, helmets, and the tour guide are all included in the price. London is flat, the ride is easy, and the experience is fun. Fat Tire Tours is a great way to experience whatever city you're visiting.
