The venue where I got married was more of a gold theme, where-as of course, we chose silver theme for our wedding colors. No worries though, Finishing Touch brought the whole theme together simply with the silver chair sashes. Maryann and her staff were so friendly and great when I was picking my linens and napkins for my wedding. They even suggested a way that I could save on the napkin folding with my preprinted menus. Her prices are very reasonable, and I'd recommend her to any of my friends or family. The linens looked fabulous at the wedding and were so worth it! read more

I got married in October 2013 and have always wanted to write a review of this store. I just celebrated 4 years with my husband and here I am. Mary Ann is amazing!! I had previously seen a table cover at my florist from her store. When I went for my final look at the flowers, I couldn't imagine them being displayed on anything else. Few days later, I went to the store but she was out of the particular table cover I wanted. Not to worry though, Mary Ann went through her inventory and showed me several similar items. I ended up with the most beautiful table covers 3 days before my wedding!!!! She had them all cleaned and delivered on time, with no threading or stains. Thank you Finishing Touch. read more

While they offer nice stuff, the prices are on the higher end. I went in to ask about their closeout item but the lady over the phone and the other that I met in the store were both unpleasant. I wanted to rent 30 tablecloths but it was coming out to be too pricey for my budget so I instead asked about their clearance tablecloths. The lady was so unpleasant and had horrible customer service. She was rude and made it seem like I was wasting her time. I asked if I could have one table cloth cut to see how it turns out before buying 30 and she said that was not the way she worked and that would be impossible. She told me she had that fabric in her store for years and she was looking to sell it asap. I'm not sure why she couldn't accommodate one reasonable request, especially since it'd been in her store for multiple years. Anyway, if you're looking to rent for a large party, or your wedding especially, I would avoid this place like the plague. The last thing you want to deal with is bad customer service for your wedding needs. read more

This place is just terrible, I have no idea how they are still open! Not only is there no employees when you walk in, once they "help you" you wish they would disappear again. They are so rude! You are clearly walking into a store to make business with them but CLEARLY they don't care about trying to make any money. Whoever this female worker who is white with brown hair, needs a serious attitude adjustment! No customer service skills at all, ridiculous is all I can say! You ask questions & they just say go to the website (where they don't have any prices, vague descriptions & the site doesn't even work right !) so once again, pointless. I am not one to write bad reviews. That being said, these women were so rude to my mother & I, I felt the need to come on here and warn people. I went in wanting to rent a chair cover for my sister's bridal shower. It's was like as soon as they heard it was only going to be one chair cover they didn't want to be bothered with us. I asked if she knew the measurement of her chair covers, and she didn't. So I asked if she had a tape measurer to measure it, and as she left the room to go get one she slammed the door shut on us! WHO SLAMS A DOOR ON A CUSTOMER??? So, don't bother going to them if you're not planning on spending hundreds of dollars, or if you expect professionalism. Needless to say, we didn't end up renting one because she informed us that none of her covers would fit the very basic chair we had. A linen rental company ....... doesn't have a chair cover ........ to fit a chair. Yea, that makes sense. SO RUDE! read more

Me and my daughter walked into this place and a somewhat lady asked if we had an appointment, no we did not. We were not aware we had to. She right away said "We go by appointment only and my two consultants are busy". Not even to say okay you don't have an appointment lets see if we can accommodate you. Nope. Nothing. There hours are somewhat unusual from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. So if you work like normal people, you would have to take off from work somehow and make an appointment. We were then told in order to rent they require a minimum of $350.00 to rent. So we left right away as we did not meet her qualifications for the proper protocol of this store. Would not recommend. I also feel the need to come on here and let people know this place is horrible. All of the women including the manager/owner are incredibly rude. When I first went into the place to place an order for chargers I got the impression they couldn't be bothered to help me especially since I only needed 30. The person I specifically dealt with was Joy. She told me she had to take a $90 deposit on a order that was only $114. I needed to cancel my charges due to the weather a few days before and they basically told me I would lose my deposit which was more then half of my order. No sympathy whatsoever not willing to work with their customers at all after all it was her staff who decided to charge me $90. They refused to offer me any money back. I never heard of a company taking such a large deposit in the first place so the fact that they were so unwilling to work with me was disheartening. When we picked up the chargers someone offered to carry them out to the car as they were heavy. When my mother brought them back and went inside to tell the owner/manager that she needed help with outside she was greeted with nasty looks and eye rolls. Totally uncalled for. My mother had back surgery 2 weeks ago and was instructed not to lift anything heavy at all so the fact that the owner/manager would react that way was so unprofessional and rude in my opinion. I agree with the previous girls review on here....it really is as if they don't care if they get any business and all the women working here including the manager/owner really need a course in hospitality management and how to treat their customers! As someone who is in the industry firsthand I know how a client should be treated. The service here was terrible and I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other rental places on LI that you can work with where I'm sure you will be treated with alot more respect! Stay clear of this place. read more
