You pay a certain price and FBB will help to create the exact floral concoction that you desire. For us, our wedding was happening in the fall and we had our specific colors that we were using (steel and navy blue with maroon highlights). Burton was able to meet with us and discuss different ideas and flower types we might want to use. Mike is who we initially met with and he was super chill and helpful. He had a great knowledge of flowers and wedding items (bouquets, etc.) which helped make the process that much easier. What was also great was how easy it was for Burton to create centerpieces that worked with the lanterns we wanted to use. They were able to build a nice ring of flowers around the lantern that kept the centerpiece compact yet still elegant. I'll also give them some props for helping to differentiate my boutonnière from the rest of my groomsmen as that was the only way to tell the difference between us (my white flowers and their maroon). Oh and everything was delivered right on time which is extremely essential when trying to get a wedding orchestrated. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about Flowers By Burton. They've been around for a long time and for good reason. Their prices are respectable and they'll work with you to find exactly what you want. So if you're looking to fill arguably one of the most important parts of your wedding, then go to Flowers By Burton and smell the roses (just a saying).

On the week of my wedding, they also sent me pictures of the tall centerpiece and bridal bouquet and made adjustments based on my feedback. I understand that they didn't want to make them so early in advance of the wedding but it would've been better if they sent the pictures earlier because a bride has a lot of last minute tasks to do before the wedding and checking emails for photos should not be another item on their to-do list. I wish they also sent pictures of the other arrangements that I ordered because I wasn't too fond of the wrist corsage for the moms. They were very loose and the flowers were too big. In most of the wedding pictures, the flowers were sitting on the side of the wrist because the corsage was so loose and the heaviness of the flowers made them fall.. The centerpieces bouquets looked beautiful though. My only complaint is that my bridal bouquet was so thick in the stems that it was hard to hold with just one hand. But I guess tulips have thicker stalks so it's a tulip problem, and it's not super noticeable in pictures. It was very nice of them to include a small bouquet for me to throw. I love how the arrangements were the same price no matter which flowers I wanted and that the boutonnieres were free of charge. I was considering pocket boutonnieres instead but they were $25 each iirc. I have to say that my favorite arrangements were the ones on the floor in front of the sweetheart table. They're exactly how I imagined them to be, and they turned out sooo perfectly. They did such a phenomenal job delivering and setting up all the flowers too! Their office is very small so there might be other customers in close proximity when you're there but I didn't think it was an issue at all. Parking is aplenty.

I wanted to send a bouquet of flowers to my young niece who was having a medical procedure performed. I live on Staten Island, NY and my niece lives on Long Island. After searching for a well reviewed florist, I choose Black Dalhia. It was the right choice. I gave the lovely lady on the other end of the phone all of the pertinent information, and with her help decided on a specific arrangement. Having closed the sale, asking that the flowers be delivered today, I was assured that would be the case. Sometime after this call, I realized that I had inadvertently given the wrong address for delivery. Of course I called my niece to ask if her neighbor had brought the flowers to her house, and she said, no. The florist, before delivery was made, had called to confirm someone would be there to accept the flowers, and that is when the address problem was realized. Kudos to Black Dalhia for their pro-active work in assuring the delivery would be completed correctly. When in doubt, go with proven experts. Black Dalhia, yeah. read more

Upon our first meeting with Marlene, that was 100% the case. She was able to walk us through every type of arrangement we may need and help us determine what could possibly be repurposed throughout the day in other locations of the venue in order to make the most of our florals. She made suggestions that gave us a lot of confidence in Verbena. Fast forward to our centerpiece sample meeting - oh my gosh. We walked in the office and I was BLOWN AWAY by the arrangement. I had previously sent Marlene 3 totally different inspiration photos of 3 very different things and she was able to not only get my vision but execute it better than I pictured. (To be clear, as someone who wanted white florals, she really understood that I was looking for something classic yet a little unique and the arrangement was just that. Classic, timeless, but unique.) After that meeting, for the next 5 months, Marlene was extremely responsive and helpful. The day of the wedding though was when I was most impressed with the entire Verbena team. All of my ceremony florals were being repurposed for the reception. The Verbena team executed this transition during cocktail hour but you'd genuinely never know that because I didn't see them at all. I'm still wondering how they managed to totally transform 2 spaces without anyone seeing them!! It was incredible. Literal magic. All of the florals were gorgeous.
