Failure to complete project within specified timeline in contract. Custom cabinet doors were…read moresubstandard and unprofessional. It is noted that reclaimed wood was most likely used when new materials were paid for. One drawer front was split and completely fell off within a few days! Painting of walls and cupboards was in-complete, primer was applied but final coats of paint were not. Very little attention to details. Nail holes were left unfilled and not sanded. Some defective cabinet doors - warped. Gulley said several times he would make it right but never showed up when he said he would. Installed unfinished butcher block countertop and put several coats of finish over scratches he didn't bother to sand out first. He never finished applying additional coats, as we agreed on. I reminded him several times. He didn't complete one part of the project because said he ran out of money to purchase materials. I gave him 1/2 money due to pay for the materials before the project started, the majority of the remaining amount when he started the job and the rest of it, upon his request before he finished the job! My mistake of course. Mr. Gulley not honor my Final Demand for Completion of Contracted Work sent to him and received by him the end of May, nearly 5 months after the start of a project that should have taken less than 4 weeks. BEWARE of this company. It appears he may not be licensed, and he may have many legal issues pending as well as many financial issues. Information regarding these issues can be found in public court records both in the Common Pleas court and in small claims court.

I hired Joe at JNH Builders in 2022 to install a new roof on my commercial building. After a year…read moreI noticed 2 interior walls had moisture and started to warp. I contacted him to resolve the issue. He attempted to fix what he thought was water intrusion from a vent pipe. After 3 failed attempts he fixed my 2 interior walls. The last attempt he covered up my vent pipe as a solution. He stated in text, "it wasn't doing anything". 6 months after he covered the vent and the walls were repaired, they warped again. I contacted him once again, mind you were on 2 years dealing with this "leak". I have been very patient! I contacted him again and he stated this was a moisture and condensation issue. I assumed a roofer would understand that a roof needs proper ventilation and to NEVER coverup a vent pipe! That made the condensation worse. He stated he would add vents, but doesn't work for free. Well sorry bud, I don't pay for inadequate jobs and then pay again to do what you were too incompetent to do the first time. He even went on to insult my wife and completely off topic, stating I wanted someone to feel sorry for me. No I want what I paid for to be done correctly.
