The food was incredible, the service and staff fantastic. We truly enjoyed and were grateful to have found this restaurant. We are Asian food, connoisseurs, of sorts. My daughter said the hot and sour soup was the best she'd ever had! I love the cucumber salad, but do wish it had more sauce. So I ordered some :). The Dry Chili Chicken was so delicious. Service was amazing. Food is even more delicious. Best to order family style to share. Our favorite dishes were the crispy beef, orange chicken and the short ribs. Small restaurant so we made a reservation for our party of 7 on a Monday night. Not sure if they get busy but I don't see why they wouldn't as the food is absolutely delicious, good portions for the price and friendly service. First of all, I hate leaving bad reviews. But I will never ever dine at this restaurant again. I had dined here before when this place 1st opened I think back in 2023 and the food was really good so I was looking forward to dining here again. We came here this past Thursday at approximately 5:00 PM. The restaurant was completely empty except for two employees who both looked as if they were taking naps and looked half asleep. We should have turned around and left but we decided to order our food to go instead. That was a big mistake! The food upset my stomach and gave me diarrhea for the next 4 days. Today I'm finally feeling better and have 2 days left to my trip to try and enjoy. Unfortunately, 4 days wasted feeling crappy because of that horrible food. This is the ginger scallion plate and OMG lemme just say the flavors was just amazing , literally what I was wanting after a day of traveling. I didn't realize I ordered the plate. The ginger scallion was delicious and mouthwatering and it went perfectly with the chicken not to mention that the ginger scallion oil the rice was scrumptious . Based on Yelp reviews, I drove more than an hour round trip to get food here from Waikoloa, and it was worth the effort! First off, the folks behind the counter are great. The woman who I presume is the owner sees to know most of the people walking in. And, as a perfect stranger, I, too, felt welcomed! She was very helpful and accommodating for my slightly off-menu requests, and also gave me additional plates and utensils since I was at a hotel with limited items. Oh, and the food was great, too. I was looking for schezwan style asian food, this place delivers. Coming from Seattle, our asian food bat is pretty high. And we were missing that familiar taste. This restaurant was referred 2 times.. from a friend to another family staying in the same resort and by them to us over breakfast. I personally am not a fan of sweet tasting food so we did did try this out right away. If this was in Seattle, I would give it 3 stars. But on the Big Island this place stands out. By far our most favorite Chinese restaurant in Kona. Couple of items aren't recommended though, the grilled squid, just came out like microwaved & cold, also the soup stuffs. The Food is top tier! Everything was very flavorful. I got orange chicken , honey walnut shrimp, and beef w/ broccoli. All were amazing and perfect portions. I also got a Cajun boil "The X combo" came with 1/2 lb of shrimp, mussels, and clams! Corn, potatoes, and sausage. Very delicious. The Service was amazing from beginning to end. This is a curious restaurant. The decor is very minimalistic. It is brightly lit and airy. It was easy to carry on a conversation. They appear to have an extensive variety on their menu. We went with family who have been here before so we took their recommendations and ordered; Honey Walnut (actually pecan) Shrimp - OMG! The flavor of this is so unique. I wish I could have eaten more because I would have ordered another one of these. Garlic String beans - theses were exactly what I expected. The flavor was pleasant and very enjoyable. They were a little over cooked, but that was not a deal killer. Their orange chicken was good there flavor it's pleasant and enjoyable. The bottom line would i go back? Absolutely! read more

I have eaten here several times - to the point that when I walk in the regular staff knows what I will be ordering. I love their beef lo mein. Only one time was the meat fatty. My best friend usually orders the chicken kung pau with side of fried rice and loves the flavor. Plus they offer Dr Pepper as a soda choice, big plus for me. Very friendly service. read more

Now this is an interesting place because on the surface it seems to be a Chinese restaurant but take a closer look at the menu and you will see that the seafood broil is big on the menu. We've eaten here several times mostly trying their steak, fish and spicy mapo tofu. These Chinese dishes are spot on. Their service is very friendly and I've seen them really take care of their customers. The first time we tried this place there was a mix up in the online order. Not only did they take care of it but they also made it up in spades by how they took care of the issue - not looking to blame or make excuses but just to take care of the customer. Finally, there are several tables in the restaurant, as well as a couple out door tables. It's clean and I've always seen several occupied throughout the day. This place makes Panda Express seem like a Michelin 3 star ! Sent comments to my friends not to eat there and as one they responded with jokes about how they had been lured into going there by good reviews and thought as I did that they had never had worse Chinese food!.
